Earlier this year, Lou Gramm dropped Released, his first solo album since 1989’s Long Hard Look. The music continues where that album left off with arena-ready power ballads like “Time Heals the Pain” and hard rock tracks like “Walk the Walk”.
Many music fans know Gramm as the original voice of Foreigner. During his original run with the band, he sang and cowrote hits like “Hot Blooded,” “Waiting For a Girl Like You,” “Double Vision” and the number 1 worldwide smash, “I Want to Know Know What Love Is.”
In the late ’80s, Gramm released two solo albums and recorded “Lost in the Shadows” for the soundtrack to the cult classic film The Lost Boys. After parting ways with Foreigner in the early ‘90s, he worked on various solo projects and rejoined the band for a second stint that ended in 2004.
Over the last two decades, Gramm has appeared with Foreigner for special shows and events, including the band’s 50th anniversary this year. To mark that occasion, they recorded a live album on Ellis Island. The concert included a new version of “Feels Like The First Time” with Gramm, former vocalist Kelly Hansen, and current lead singer Luis Maldonado all singing parts of the song.
