Saturn’s Rings || Episode 1 hawkrine 2021-04-17 | (DISCLAIMER: The writing for this episode is over two years old, thus it does not reflect my current capabilities. There are many parts of this episode I don’t like and make me cringe, but we all start somewhere right?) IT’S HERE!! It’s actually here! This is so crazy to me, it’s amazing to finally upload the first episode of my animate series after over two years! It’s seemed like a distant goal for so long. I will say future episodes will NOT take this long, i’m switching over to pmv style as animation takes too long and leaves me burnt out. It’s mostly the lipsync animation that did me in, I’ll be glad to not do that anymore in future episodes. No Place Like Home || Part 34 [shadowhunters] hawkrine 2021-03-13 | shadowhunters,, (cries) I’m not sure why i decided to do shadowhunters for this map, I think I wanted to shake up my content from marvel a bit and was having a little nostalgia moment! I watched shadowhunters around this time back in 2019 I believe? It’s a flawed show but it will always have my heart, especially Magnus and Alec. This is a scene towards the end of the show where Magnus goes to Edom so that he can take down Lilith I believe?? And Alec watches him go sadly as they’re both worried they won’t see each other again and they just got engaged ): details are a little fuzzy it’s been two years BDJSKFI’m pretty happy with this, I like how the fur blowing animation turned out. Keia || Part 24 [marvel: doctor strange] (shaking + eyestrain tw) hawkrine 2021-02-28 | KEIA MOMENT! I've been so hyped for this map ever since Piper showed the concept to me, the song is so good and fits so well for a fandom vent map! I chose do to Stephen ofc, and the theme focused around romantic/platonic relationships and their tragic end, so I put in some people that have been affected by his actions, or people he was close to that he lost. Christine was affected after Stephen lashed out at her and left, The Ancient One was a friend/mentor to him that was killed, Mordo was affected by his decision to mess with the time stone and ended up leaving, and of course Tony died after snapping the gauntlet, which Stephen knew about and probably feels guilty for? Fun times! KRHJEDKJG I wanted to animate some for this part and I think I did a pretty good job! Some of the markings/shading is inconsistent, but for being a little rusty at animation I don't think it's too bad. I also added different effects/shaking to go with the theme more! Animation Reel || 2020 (blood/flash tw) hawkrine 2021-01-01 | WOW ok so i was having a time trying to edit this, at first i edited it on my laptop, but it was taking too long to upload and i couldn’t find a good time to upload without slowing the internet down while everyone was on it. so then just today i took most of the files from youtube and edited it from my phone :”) the quality pretty noticeably drops after love bug because those videos are all downloaded from youtube, nothing i can do about it unfortunately. very fitting for the year lmfao buut oh well2020 was awful, but it was great in terms of improvement for me! i made huge strides with my style especially, and have spent recent months trying to hone in on that. for 2021 i want to practice animation a lot more, as well as humans. i’m hoping to not do as many map parts, so i can focus more especially on Saturn’s Rings, right now i have 4/6 scenes done for episode 1, and hope to have that episode out in early 2021! so yea ,, have a great new years and 2021!!(i had to cut some map parts i wasn’t particularly proud of to make the video fit, as well as shortening the parts, though that was also because if i kept the parts their original length the video would’ve been hella long. 49 parts this year!)
