In this three-part episode, filmed during her recent visit to Northern NSW and Byron Bay, Alexandra and her husband Tony spend the day with Lois Cook of Aboriginal Cultural Concepts.
A Traditional Custodian of Nyangbul Country in the Bundjalung Nation of Eastern Australia, Lois is an indigenous community leader, artist, spokesperson, activist and leader of cultural experiences in the region.
During their time together, Lois points out various bush tucker spots, sacred Bora Rings and Fish Traps and shares some of her people’s traditional stories.
Lois also opens up to Alexandra about the true history of the Australian Aboriginal people. She reveals information about the massacres that occurred in the region and how many of her people’s human remains have subsequently gone unaccounted for – tragically, many have vanished and others have end up in museums in places like Europe.
Lois’s story hauntingly resembles the history of so many of our indigenous peoples the world over. She goes on to talk about some of the other ancient verbal histories passed down from more than 75,000 years into antiquity, including the links between ancient Egypt and Australia and even stories of star people and the truth of our galactic heritage.
