Fan Boat on Flooded Golf Course in Washington Kevin J Salisbury 2025-12-18 | It is December 2025 and Washington State has seen disasterous floods this past week with families in some areas having to evacuate. Governor Bob Ferguson has declared a state of emergency over the situation. Many roads have been washed out, homes and towns devastated. Over in south eastern Washington we experienced the same rain and high winds but not as much wide spread damage that other parts have seen. My friend and I decided to check on one of the local golf courses this past Saturday. We had heard that it flooded out from the rising Yakima River. Sure enough, we arrived and it was almost completely under water. Just as we ventured around the back of the clubhouse for a look, we saw a local launching his fan boat in the new swamp land. Would have loved to film more of it and his story but the opportunity never arose. Was a fun site to see that made us feel like we had teleported to the bayou.

Lost Trail OHV Idaho | Off-road Obstacle Tour Kevin J Salisbury 2024-05-25 | Last weekend I went on an adventure with my friend Mitch and Trent. One of the places we visited was Lost Trail OHV near Murphy Idaho. It is a fun little off-road spot that doesn't seem to get much traffic. It's a good loop for beginner to moderately experienced off-roaders. There are however some easy routes on some of the obstacles if you are not up to the task. Mitch has way more experience than I do so it was great to have him there as a guide. After making the loop I feel like my confidence level is a bit higher. There is another more challenging trail to conquer called Dragons Back apparently which we did not cover in this video. M2 Armored Halftrack: The Ultimate Artillery Vehicle Kevin J Salisbury 2023-09-30 | A World War II armored artillery vehicle with a half track. It was designed by Firestone Defense Division of Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. Production was under the White Motor Company starting in 1940. Weighing in at 9 metric tons it wore up to 12mm of armor to help protect it’s occupants. It was powered by a 386 cu in 6.3L inline six producing 148hp with a top speed of 45mph. Range was 220 miles approximately. Troops would carry supplies, mines, grenades and of course the famous Browning machine gun.

Nuclear Submarine in a city park? Kevin J Salisbury 2023-06-17 | This former nuclear powered submarine was the first of it's kind. The USS Triton was powered by two nuclear reactors and was a very large submarine operated by the United States Navy from 1959 to 1969. At the time of production it was the largest, most powerful and ironically, the most expensive submarine. It was built as a radar picket but was soon repurposed after carrier based Grumman WF-2 Tracers took over the duties. One major feat accomplished by the Triton and crew was circumnavigating the world fully submerged the entire journey. Once the submarine was decommissioned, it eventually found its way to this park where the sail rests in Richland Washington. This site stands as a memorial to those who worked at Hanford Nuclear Facility; as well as those who designed, manufactured and served on this historic vessel.
