Today I'm trying Bulgarian food for the first time in Sofia. It is one of the best street foods in Europe, and also one of the cheapest street foods in the world.
I'm also joined by my dad, who found the absolute BEST street food vendor at the end. We ate a full meal with 5 different foods for only $1.7 dollars. I'm really impressed by how good everything was!
Here is what we tried:
- Breakfast: Banitsa, Boza, Ayran
- Lunch: DELICIOUS Shopska salad, potato and meat ball, and baked cheese dish. The restaurant's name is Манджите на баба. Go there if you can, it's homemade and the ladies working there are very nice.
- Snack: Gevrek, behind Sofia Central Market Hall
- Women's market: Roasted pumpkin, fish, grapes and nuts
- Dinner: Kebapche with Ljutenica and beans.
