This is a stop-frame animation that I made for my Level 3 Art Course in college, it took roughly over 5 hours to complete (Not including the time it took me to edit the video which took a further 6 hours as well as the audio which too about 2 hours).

The painting consists of Cardboard, Music Sheets, news papers that consist of stories about accidents and death, acrylic paint (Red and Black), A small amount of ink.
I have used Adobe After Effects to create the animation.
To make the transparent spinning skull I took various images of a skull at different rotations, painted over them, scanned them using a printer and then used Adobe Photoshop to crop out the white background.

After that I put it all together on After Effects and lowered the transparency.

To make the sounds I used a free program called Audacity, I generated a long tone and added effects onto them such as: WahWah and Reverb, to make an creepy throbbing sound effect.

To make the music box sounds I recorded a music box playing and slowed down the audio by a small bit.
