LITTLE BIG SKY is a stop-motion short directed by Cait Davis of Springtime Jellyfish
Built around a series of interviews with residents of Kingsbury, Texas, the film drifts between the dark, the mundane, and the quietly absurd. Stories of violence, boredom, history, and routine sit side by side, painting a portrait of a town where the Wild West hasn’t disappeared so much as settled into habit.
Using Cait Davis’ signature hand-fabricated figures and tactile stop-motion style, Little Big Sky becomes a strange, funny, and unsettling meditation on place, how towns change, how they don’t, and how myth lingers long after it’s stopped being useful.
Originally released in 2019. Now streaming on SCRIMSHAW.
