Several bizarre coincidences exist between 16th President John F. Kennedy and 35th President John F. Kennedy. Lincoln was elected 1860 and Kennedy in 1960. They were elected as president one hundred years apart. Prior to that they were elected to the House of Representatives - also one hundred years apart in 1846 and 1946.

Both were assassinated in office by gunshots to the head. Their Vice Presidents Andrew Johnson and Lyndon B. Johnson were suspected in the assassinations.

There also seemed to be several similarities between the assassins Lee Harvey Oswald and John Wilkes Booth and even some crossover between the men who killed the assassins Jack Ruby and Boston Corbett.

But is there something to the urban legend? Historians don't think so and point out that there are some similarities even to the other two assassinated presidents James A. Garfield and William McKinley.
