One of the best and melancholic videogame themes of the PS1 era. I did a cover of "Light of the Town" in 2021and in that attempt (you can watch here: youtu.be/kbnsJ5IDGUA) I only covered 3 parts: the harp, flute and bass line. The sounds I used on the first cover were preset sounds from my Korg Kross.
In this updated version, I added the conga drums part of the piece, plus proper recording with metronome and tempo mapping, and updated sounds as I am using VSTs:
Yamaha Montage M ESP covers all the melodic instruments (Harp, Bass and Flute) while I used DPinga Congas by PulpoAudio for the conga drums for the second half of the piece.
This is also my first attempt at color grading since I shot this using the old version of FilmicPro on my YouTube camera phone Galaxy S8+. So I hope you like this new version. Watch til the end for more video recommendations.
