The retreat of Alaska’s iconic glaciers affects everything from water chemistry to marine life in Alaska’s coastal margins. Scientists from UAF, UAA and UAS are working together to understand these changes. Assistant Professor Gwenn Hennon discussed her research in “Life on thin ice: Glacial retreat at Alaska's coastal margins,” on Feb. 15, 2022, as part of the 30th annual Science for Alaska Lecture Series.
