Part 2 of my playthrough of Phoenotopia Awakening's April Fools build! There's still not much different compared to the vanilla game as I move on to the second town, although I did discover one thing: the Civilian Crossbow, one of the weapons you can buy early on in the game, has been modified so that instead of shooting normal bolts, it shoots laser beams that bounce off of surfaces and pierce through enemies! (Upon further research, I also discovered that the Slingshot, another early-game weapon, gets an instant upgrade once you unlock the Bombs, although I don't think I got a chance to show it off in this part.)
