To follow along with this video, you’ll need the following tools:
- (2) 9/16 inch wrenches or sockets
- Electric drill
- 3/8th inch drill bit
- 13/32nd inch drill bit
- Marker
- Tape measure
- Clamp
- Safety glasses
Remember to always wear safety glasses when using power tools, and to check for brake lines, wiring, etc. before drilling any holes in your trailer.
-BUILDING THE BASKET-
Begin by attaching the side panels to the bottom panel using 3/8th inch carriage bolts and flange nuts. Then attach the front and rear panels to the side panels – use 3/8th inch carriage bolts and flange nuts for this as well.
Once that’s done, insert the movable dividers in your desired configuration and loosely attach them to the basket with 3/8th inch hex head cap screws and nylon locking nuts. There are many possible ways to position the dividers, so choose a set-up that works best for your needs.
Now it’s time to mount the legs of the basket on your trailer. Start by unfolding the pre-assembled legs and locking them open by inserting a 3/8 inch hex head cap screw through the corner bracket. Secure the screw in place with a nylon locking nut.
Measure the inside width of your trailer rails at the location where you will mount the basket.
Set the spacing of the legs to match that width, then use the diagram shown at 01:40 to determine which slots in the legs you should attach the basket to. If your trailer is a non-standard width, decide which slots will make the basket centered in the trailer and use those.
Use 3/8th inch carriage bolts and flange nuts to attach the legs to the basket. Place the basket on the trailer in its desired location to ensure its centered, then tighten the bolts.
Now use the holes in the legs to mark where you’ll need to drill holes in your trailer rails. Remove the basket, drill the mounting holes, and reposition the basket. Secure it in place with two 3/8th by 1 inch carriage bolts per leg.
Please note that the hardware provided with the LT45 is designed for a 3/8 inch thick angle rail. Tubular rails will require different hardware that is not included.
Time to install the blower rack. On the blower rack upright, measure 4-1/2 inches from the bottom of the cross bar and make a mark in the center of the upright. Drill a hole here with the 13/32nd inch drill bit.
The blower rack can be installed on either the driver or passenger side of the basket. Whichever side of you choose, use the top row of holes to mount the rack. Count six holes over from the left and use a 3/8th inch by 2 inch cap screw and a 3/8th nylon locking nut to secure the rack to the basket.
There are several sets of pre-drilled holes on the legs and top of the basket you can use to install the trimmer line holder – choose the location that works best for your needs.
To attach the spool holder, simply position the brackets as shown and secure in place with two 3/8th inch cap screws, four 3/8th inch flat washers, and two 3/8th nylon locking nuts. Do not fully tighten these down yet, as you’ll need to be able to slide the bracket to accommodate the width of your spool.
Once the brackets are installed, just insert your trimmer line spool and secure it in place with the wing bolt assembly, two 3/8th inch flat washers, and a wing nut. Once your spool is secured, you can finish tightening down the mounting bolts from the previous step.
That’s it! Your LT45 Multi-purpose Storage Basket is installed and ready to use.
One EZ Gate can support tailgates up to 180 pounds – if your tailgate is heavier than that, you may need a second system on the other side of the trailer.
The system works on open trailers with side rails 12 to 24 inches high, measured from the trailer floor.
It’s super easy to install, includes all necessary mounting hardware, and works with both square and round-tube trailer rails.

Despite the challenges 2020 brought, Buyers charged forward with the expansion. Company management knew that essential businesses across the country relied on their products to operate, and the new warehouse is a key part of ensuring those businesses have reliable access to the truck, trailer, and snow and ice equipment they need.
“We are one-hundred percent committed to getting our customers what they need,” says Gary Kadow, Warehouse Operations Manager at Buyers. “We built our reputation on our ability to quickly and consistently deliver high quality products at competitive rates, and that doesn’t change just because there’s a pandemic going on.”
The new warehouse, combined with other investments Buyers has made in robotic welding, precision laser-cutting, and fabrication automation, will allow the company to manufacture and distribute equipment more efficiently. The company believes these investments are essential to remaining competitive in a global market. In addition to supporting its customers, the growth means Buyers can continue supporting its local community.
“We are Northeast Ohio born and raised, and this expansion will allow us to provide many more Northeast Ohioans with steady work,” says Brian Smith, Chief Operations Officer at Buyers. “Our community is baked into every aspect of our business, from the high-quality products we manufacture here to customer service and distribution.”

1) Determine where you’ll install the tarp roller. It should be mounted as far forward as possible so it’s out of the way when the trailer is being side loaded, but you also want to make sure it’s accessible so you can easily reach the crank to retract the tarp.
2) Clamp the bearing bracket assemblies to your trailer or dump body. The assembly with the detented lever mounts on the driver’s side. Make sure the brackets are aligned both vertically and horizontally by measuring from a common point on each side of the trailer or dump body. Any reference point will work as long as it’s the same on both sides. It’s also important that the mounting point is high enough to accommodate the tarp when it’s rolled up onto the roll bar assembly.
3) Mark the bearing bracket mounting hole locations on each side, then take off the brackets and drill 13/32 inch holes in the four marked locations.
4) Attach the bearing brackets using the four 3/8 inch by 1 inch cap screws, lock washers, and nuts supplied in the hardware kit. Don’t fully tighten yet, just hand tighten to hold the brackets in place.
5) Find the inner hex tube and make a pencil mark in the center of the tube’s length. Then insert the inner hex tube half way into the driver side roll tube assembly and insert the opposite end of the inner hex tube into the passenger side roll tube assembly.
6) Measure the distance between the inside of the mounted bearing brackets. If the measurement is less than 81-3/4 inches, the driver and passenger side roll tube assemblies will need to be shortened an equal amount to ensure a proper fit. If the measurement is equal to or greater than 81-3/4 inches, no shortening should be necessary.
7) Separate the roll tubes so the length of the complete roll tube assembly from adaptor to adaptor is ¼ inch less than the distance between the mounting brackets. Find the pencil mark you made earlier to verify that the inner hex tube is centered inside the outer roll tube assemblies. Then screw each roll tube assembly to the inner hex tube using one ¼ inch by 1 inch self-drilling and tapping screw. You want the screws 2 inches from the ends of the outer tubes.
8) Slide the complete roll tube assembly into the 5 inch loop at the end of the tarp. An important thing to note here is to verify that the webbing in the tarp’s seams will be on the bottom once the tarp is installed.
9) Remove one of the bearing bracket assemblies so you can slide the tarp roll assembly into the remaining bracket. Then slide the bracket you removed over the shaft and reattach it to the dump body or trailer. This time you can fully tighten the bracket down.
10) Center the tarp roll assembly between mounting brackets and tighten the set screws in each bearing race.
11) Center the roll tube assembly in the tarp. Then, holding the assembly tightly in the end of the pocket, screw it in place with five evenly spaced ¼ inch by 1 inch self-drilling tapping screws and fender washers. Ensure the screws are centered in the hex tube and that the screws on each end are at least 2 inches from the end of the roll tube assembly. Also, be careful not to screw into the shaft adaptors on either end.
12) Assemble the sprocket onto the 1 inch shaft of the driver side roll tube assembly. With the detent lever in the open position, slide the sprocket down the shaft until it’s tight against the bearing and tighten the set screws.
13) Attach the crank handle assembly to the driver side roll tube shaft using the ¼ inch by 2 inch screw and lock nut included in the hardware kit.
14) Attach the four S-hooks to the two tarp straps. Put the small end of the S-hook through the hole in the strap, then bend it around the strap to permanently attach the hook to the strap. Then attach the straps to the rear corner holes in the tarp. Again, bend the large hooks around the tarp grommets so the straps are permanently attached to the tarp.
15) Attach the pull rope assembly to the center grommet on the rear of the tarp
16) Attach the two rope storage hooks to your tailgate. Mount the hooks horizontally about 15 to 17 inches apart from each other. The hooks can be bolted or welded. Many trailers will already have hooks pre-installed. If yours does, you can skip this step.
Differences with a DTT System:
- Your roll tube will be round instead of hexagonal, and the center piece will be larger than the outer pieces instead of the other way around.
- Your crank assembly will slide through the bearing bracket into the roll tube instead of attaching to the bearing itself.
Refer to your instruction manual for specifics if you encounter any roadblocks.

- 10-1/2 ft wing span makes quick work of large lots
- Genuine 304 stainless steel wings rise from 35 in. in the middle to 45 in. on either end
- Robust frame designed to handle large amounts of heavy, wet snow
- RapidLink Attachment System makes mounting and removal easy
- Floating A-frame allows the plow to follow the contours of the road for a clean scrape regardless of terrain or mounting height
Buyers Products, a leading manufacturer of work truck equipment, announces the release of a 10-1/2 foot V-plow designed for very heavy-duty use. The new SnowDogg® VXXII plow mounts to Class 4-6 trucks, with wings that ascend from 35 inches in the middle to 45 inches on either end. The plow is the result of increasing market demand for such a large V-plow.
The SnowDogg VXXII went through over two years of rigorous testing and design, before being released. The SnowDogg team, including a host of engineers, product managers and manufacturing staff, worked directly with some of the country’s largest snow and ice contractors to refine every detail.
“It took us several tries to really nail the design,” says Scott Moorman, Director of Snow and Ice Equipment at Buyers Products. “Each iteration got closer and closer, but we weren’t going to settle for anything less than perfection. The feedback from the field testers was an integral, invaluable piece of this process. Afterall, who knows what a plow needs better than the people out there using it every day?”
With its wide wingspan and heavy-duty build, the VXXII specializes in clearing large amounts of heavy, wet snow. The plow features a genuine 304 stainless steel blade with aggressive, flared wings and a robust frame built to absorb heavy impacts. The VXXII also includes popular SnowDogg features like the RapidLink™ Attachment System and Floating A-frame™.
The SnowDogg VXXII is being manufactured at Buyers’ state-of-the-art facility in Northeast Ohio. It will be available for the 2021 winter season. SnowDogg distributors and dealers can order the new plow during Buyers Products’ preseason order period later this spring. Visit BuyersProducts.com for more information.
- Expands from 8 to 10 feet while maintaining scoop position

The XPII features a genuine 304 stainless steel blade that extends from 8 to 10-feet wide while maintaining scoop position. The scoop provides superior snow control, clearing, and stacking. The flared wings can also operate independently for optimal windrowing and maneuverability. This versatile design makes the XPII ideal for jobs of any size or complexity. Nine reinforcing steel ribs spread impact across the plow to protect vital components and keep the XPII pushing season after season.
The XPII also includes all the popular SnowDogg features that snow fighters rely on. The patent pending RapidLink™ Attachment System makes mounting and dismounting the plow a snap. Regardless of your vehicle or the terrain, you can get the plow on or off in a minute or less with RapidLink’s intuitive drop leg design and hydraulic-assisted alignment.
