On the fifth episode of Let's Play Grounded, Pete has enclosed himself in rugged Ladybug Armor and begun his ascent into the Hedge in search of Dr. Tully's first lab. Our journey through the branches takes us past constant reminders of the spider infestation within this bush that gave the Dr. so much trouble. Next to a Flingman disc caught within the Hedge, we find a massive webbed lair inhabited by "The Broodmother", but without an alluring snack she won't come out to see us. Finally, we reach the damaged laboratory as the sun begins to set. Inside, we find even more spiders, as well as some rusty old Tayz.t bots built by Dr. Tully and repurposed for security. We'll also need to find a password to unlock some of the doors, written on non-tiny paper and spread around the lab. Unfortunately, in the course of our exploration, I mistime a jump from a zipline and plummet into the orb weaver infested darkness below. After being consumed, trying to retrieve my gear becomes a whole adventure of its own. And when I finally gather it all together and return to the lab, dehydration becomes an imminent threat.
