ASMBXT sees two Armless Bipedal Cycloptic Demon sisters, Demo and Iris, scouring the Castle of Absolutely No Significance to gather vegetables to power their master's ship.

sonic story is a simple-in-concept, complex-in-execution mod of the original 2004 freeware release of cave story that replaces the games main character with sonic the hedgehog, complete with momentum-based movement and terrain physics. additionally, the games health and weapon level systems have been replaced with the traditional rings system from most sonic games, making enemies drop rings when defeated and sonic drop all the rings hes holding when he gets hurt.
harboring no interest in using guns, sonics only method of attack for the entire game is jumping or rolling into enemies, making for a very different game experience despite no other aspects of cave storys design or structure being changed. this also results in many boss fights becoming more difficult in ways different from the original game.")
