Balerdroch's back with the support of the whimsical Synchro Summoning spirits, the Mayakashi! These monsters are based on the Japanese Yokai and feature a Synchro climbing strategy unlike anything we've seen before. While I admit I didn't give Mayakashi a fair chance due to their highly restrictive lock-in text, they mesh perfectly with the Zombie Horde Structure Deck from last year, which features the powerful Main Deck boss Doomking Balerdroch. Add in some classic Zombie support like Mezuki and Rivalry of Warlords, and you've got yourselves a surprisingly coherent theme!
