Lenovo LOQ IAX9: HDD vs. SSD – The REAL Performance Test (Genshin Impact Part 3)
Is an SSD upgrade worth it for the Lenovo LOQ IAX9? In this video, I’m putting my July 2024 purchase to the ultimate test by comparing External HDD gameplay from my previous videos against a brand-new Internal SSD upgrade.
⏱️ The Loading Battle (Side-by-Side)
I’ve started the video with a direct launch-to-game comparison. Watch the metadata timecodes and stopwatches to see exactly how many seconds you save by moving your game data off an external drive. The results are night and day!
⚔️ The Boss Gauntlet (Performance Comparison)
I fought the same 3 Weekly Bosses to see how the laptop handles high-particle effects and asset streaming.
HDD Test: Includes teleporting and energy farming (Ruin Guard hunting) to show the full experience of playing on slower storage.
SSD Test: Trimmed for speed—direct boss fights and faster teleport transitions.

Genshin is temporarily on my external HDD due to lack of storage space
Storage Upgrade: MSI Spatium M450 1TB V1
