Originally titled, “The Goose Girl”, Mary Pickford herself wrote and sold the script for “Lena and the Geese” to the Biograph company in the fall of 1910, before she left for IMP and Majestic. Upon returning in 1912, her story was finally filmed with Mary herself in the starring role. As noted by Paul Killiam, the film has a sort of distinct flavor found in Thanhouser films as opposed to those by Biograph. Enjoy it here with my accompaniment!
