Gamechanger AudioThe BIGSBY Pedal is a revolutionary polyphonic pitch shifter pedal that specializes in reproducing the string bending and vibrato effects produced by the BIGSBY Tremolo arm and other traditional tremolo systems.
The idea to create a BIGSBY-style pitch shifting pedal was born out of a long-standing admiration for the Bigsby system’s unique feel, sound and design.
In 2019 we approached FENDER and BIGSBY with this idea and were able to secure a partnership deal for the development of the BIGSBY Pedal.
Now, after a two year-long design and development period we are proud to announce the final product, which in our personal opinion is one of the most capable and inspiring pitch-shifting tools currently on the market.

Meet OIL & GAS, and the first track they wrote for MOTOR SYNTH MKII and drums, recorded at Evil Joe Barresi's studio in LA.
Notice how the kick drum triggers one of the MOTOR Synth’s voices thus creating a perfect bass line that's on time with every beat. Here's how the setup works: The bass and lead parts are performed on the MOTOR Synth simultaneously. The lead line is performed on the built-in 8-button keybed and arpeggiator. The bass part sequences are programmed with the built-in sequencer that is being triggered by the kick drum mic connected to the MOTOR Synths audio input.
The MOTOR Synth is in split output mode, where each motor voice is routed through a separate output channel. Each voice is then routed through individual signal paths. The lead voice goes through the BIGSBY Pedal pitch shifter and a stereo delay. The bass voice goes through the PLASMA Coil, LIGHT Pedal, and into a bass amp. The final bass sound is a mix of a DI from the Motor Synth and a mic on the bass cabinet.
Special thanks to Joe “Evil” Barresi and his assistant Jun Murakawa for taking good care of us during the recording in their Pasadena studio.

Here is the second batch of different sound examples made with MOTOR SYNTH MKII!
MOTOR Synth is based on a unique motor oscillator engine - it is a system of eight electro-motors that are able to instantly and precisely change their rotation speed in order to produce musical notes.
Because of the distinct way the motors create wave shapes, MOTOR Synth's sound is certainly in a category of its own. However, the comprehensive sound-shaping features developed by our engineers let you recreate classic synth sounds and even real instruments.

Let us know what you think, whether you have tried this or similar setups in the comments below. We also laid down the settings for you to be able to follow what exactly is going on here.
Two LIGHT Pedals. The right LIGHT Pedal is on the kick and the left LIGHT Pedal is on the hi-hat. The kick LIGHT pedal is set to feedback mode combined with tremolo mode. The gate knob makes the reverb tails and the feedback duck on each kick. The hi-hat LIGHT pedal is set to a simple optical reverb setting but the gate closes after each hi-hat hit decays. Because the drummer is listening back to pedals on loud monitors, some of the feedback from the kick LIGHT pedal bleeds into the hi-hat mic and makes the hi-hat LIGHT pedal gate open. Later on, the feedback frequency on the kick LIGHT pedal gets changed.
1:22 Tremolo setting
The hi-hat Light pedal is set to a fast tremolo setting. The kick LIGHT pedal also is set to tremolo mode, but with a different rate. The reverb gate closes slowly after the kick drum decays. The hi-hat LIGHT pedal is also gated and the gate closes when the hi-hat decays.
2:36 Gated Reverbs
Playing more with gated reverbs. The hi-hat LIGHT pedal gate closes quickly, but the gate on the kick LIGHT pedal slowly. Both LIGHT pedals are set to tremolo modes with different rates. The long decay of the open hi-hat keeps the LIGHT Pedal gate open.BIGSBY Pedal Jam Nr.2 | Gamechanger Audio | Rudolfs OzolsGamechanger Audio2021-08-13 | The BIGSBY Pedal is a revolutionary polyphonic pitch shifter pedal that specializes in reproducing the string bending and vibrato effects produced by the BIGSBY Vibrato arm and other traditional vibrato systems. Back in 2018 we had the pleasure to meet a young, brilliant and musically gifted 1st year electronics student by the name of Teodors Kerimovs. Teo had applied to GCA's first ever summer internship position and as soon as we met him we realized we're dealing with an extraordinary person. His uplifting personality, deep passion for audio electronics, combined with immense musical talent - there was no choice but to hire him on the spot.
Over the last two-and-a-half years Teo has demonstrated nothing but excellence, continuous growth and an exemplary work ethic.
Under close daily supervision of the whole GCA Engineering team, Teo was able to bring the final product to life after 18 months of hard, meticulous and oftentimes frustrating work.
The LIGHT Pedal was made possible by our amazing supporters, who showed their trust in Teo's concept by raising over 270 thousand dollars in a stunning pre-order campaign back in February 2020. These 750+ loyal fans have waited for almost a year to receive their LIGHT Pedals - all personalized and hand-signed by Teo.
We would like to sincerely thank all of you and those watching this video for supporting Gamechanger Audio and believing in innovation in the field of music-electronics.
The first commercial batch of LIGHT Pedals will be ready to hit the stores in MARCH 2021!
JINMO is the one and only avant-attaque and rock artist from Japan. JINMO and Gamechanger Audio have been walking closely side by side for a couple of years now and he is one of those people who know our products inside and out. We present to you a series of videos - for each of the current GCA products - explained by the masterful and meticulous JINMO. He offers a nuanced perspective on our pedals and a possibility to see where our products stand in the line of rock and guitar gear history.
This is the LIGHT Pedal presented by the one and only avant-Attaque and rock artist JINMO from Japan. The LIGHT Pedal is the world’s first analogue Optical Spring Reverb system that uses Infra-Red optical sensors to harvest the full timbral and harmonic range of a Spring Reverb tank.
The Light Pedal's extremely sensitive optical pairs are placed at specific regions of the spring to detect very nuanced movements on the Spring’s surface, as Sound-waves travel through it. This method opens up a much wider range of frequencies, harmonics, overtones and textures that are otherwise lost in the mechanical reverberation process. The result is a wide variety of analogue reverb sounds ranging from Classic to Experimental to pure Magic.
This is the PLASMA Coil presented by the one and only avant-Attaque and rock artist JINMO from Japan. The PLASMA Coil is a special version of the PLASMA Pedal, created by Gamechanger Audio and Third Man Records.
At its heart is GCA's innovative High Voltage Distortion technology that expresses audio signal as a series of electrical discharges. Even though they’ve been printing the words: "High Voltage Rock’n’Roll" on AC/DC t-shirts since 1973, PLASMA Distortion the is the first (and only) commercial musical device that literally amplifies audio signal to 3500 Volts.
PLASMA COIL takes High Voltage distortion to new heights by adding multiple Octaver-style circuits, and an additional Effects footswitch that can be toggled as latching or momentary.
Another difference from the original PLASMA Pedal is the removed BLEND control - with PLASMA COIL the signal is always 100% PLASMA - take it or leave it.
This is the PLASMA Pedal presented by the one and only avant-Attaque and rock artist JINMO from Japan. The PLASMA PEDAL is a revolutionary approach within the realm of overdrive and distortion, as it is a new and previously unexplored method of achieving signal clipping. Instead of using LED circuits, transistors or vacuum tubes to produce overdrive, the PLASMA PEDAL transforms your instrument’s live signal into a series of continuous high-voltage discharges within a xenon-filled tube.
In essence – you are playing a bolt of electricity, and the electrical discharges produced by your instrument are instantly converted back into an analog audio signal, producing a quick, responsive, and extremely heavy distortion with TONS of unique character!
This is the PLUS Pedal presented by the one and only avant-Attaque and rock artist JINMO from Japan. The PLUS pedal is a new kind of audio processing engine that offers piano-style sustain for electric guitars and all other melodic instruments. This is more than just a stompbox – it is a vast extension of your instrument that bridges the gap between rhythm and lead playing and lets players explore totally new territories.
