Opened in 2012, Manta was SeaWorld San Diego's first full roller coaster, as Journey to Atlantis is considered by some to not be a roller coaster. Due to the San Diego Coastal Commission, Manta was only able to be built at a maximum height of 30 feet. SeaWorld was able to build an amazing coaster, with that massive restriction, by building Manta as a launch coaster, with no need of a tall lift hill, and a trench that allows Manta to have its 54 foot first drop. Manta was manufactured by Mack, a German-based coaster manufacturer. Manta starts off with a pre-launch scene, through its large enveloping projection screen and then the ride blasts off its first launch at speeds up to 43 miles per hour. After a quick 30' overbank, Manta dives into its 54 foot drop and passes by a splash effect. The ride then goes into a turn wrapping around the main entrance. After a short airtime hill, the ride travels in another bunny hop above the queue line. Some twists occur afterwards, which leads the ride into a short brake run and into the second launch. Manta quickly swoops to the left and goes up another one of its larger hills and quickly swoops to the right and then enters a quick twist to the left. An intense helix follows and then the ride goes through two banked hills. The ride then ends in its final brake run. Manta is able to operate four trains at once, allowing the attraction to have a very high capacity. Despite its short height, Manta was well received throughout coaster enthusiasts and is known to be the best roller coaster in the San Diego vicinity.
View HD footage of the rides and roller coasters at Cedar Point, one of the largest amusement parks in the Midwest. Opened in 1870, Cedar Point started as a bath house and a beer garden. Cedar Point received its first coaster in 1892, the Switchback Railway. The park was successful during the Roaring 20s but faced financial devastation in the 1940s. The 1950s brought the start of the revitalization of Cedar Point with the construction of a new Wild Mouse coaster and the remodeling of many existing buildings. The revitalization effort continued in the 1960s with the introduction of many new rides, such as the CP & LE Railroad, Blue Streak, and the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. The Corkscrew and Gemini were added in the 1970s, two record-breaking roller coasters. Cedar Point awed the world in 1989 with Magnum XL-200, the first coaster ever to go over 200 feet high. Cedar Point broke the 300 foot record in 2000 with Millennium Force and the 400 foot record in 2003 with Top Thrill Dragster. 2007 brought the highly-rated Maverick roller coaster. In 2013, GateKeeper was added, which revitalized not only the former Disaster Transport area, but also the front entrance. The Gemini Midway was re-done in 2014 with two new rides: Pipe Scream and Lake Erie Eagles. Cedar Point is located 60 miles west of Cleveland and 65 miles east of Toledo.
Rides featured in this video:
-Gatekeeper: Cedar Point's newest coaster and is the world's tallest and longest wing roller coaster.

Opened in 1972, Kings Island was built as Coney Island's replacement and was built by the Taft Broadcasting Company. The park opened with the Racer as its headline attraction, which is located in the Coney Mall section of Kings Island, paying homage to the original Coney Island in Cincinnati, Ohio. The park awed the world in 1979 with the introduction of the Beast, the largest wooden coaster at its time and is still the world's longest wooden coaster to this day. The park had a prototype coaster built in 1981 named The Bat. The coaster was somewhat of a failure and had its last season of operation in 1983 and was replaced years later by Vortex, the first coaster to feature six inversions. Paramount became owners of Kings Island in 1992 and built Top Gun (now named Bat) as their first attraction, themed after their famous movie that bears the same name. Paramount re-did the Adventure Village themed area to Action Zone and introduced Drop Zone (now named Drop Tower), Face/Off (now named Invertigo), and Son of Beast, the tallest wooden coaster ever built. Cedar Fair purchased Paramount Parks in 2006, which made Cedar Fair the new (and current) owner and operator of Kings Island. Cedar Fair's first addition was Firehawk, a Vekoma Flying Dutchman roller coaster that formerly operated at Geauga Lake. Diamondback opened in 2009 as the tallest coaster built in Kings Island's history and is currently the star attraction of the park. The park introduced its most expensive addition in 2014: Banshee, which is the world's longest inverted roller coaster and one of the tallest inverted roller coasters in the world. Kings Island is located 20 miles northeast of Cincinnati in Kings Mills, Ohio. This video features a visual summary of the park and its attractions.

Opened in 1946 by founder Louis Koch, Holiday World started under the name "Santa Claus Land" and was one of the first theme parks in the world. Due to the start of Santa Claus Land, the small town of Santa Claus, Indiana finally had an area where children can meet Santa Claus. In 1984, Halloween & Fourth of July areas were added and Santa Claus Land was renamed "Holiday World". 1984 also brought Frightful Falls, the park's log flume, which became one of the largest rides at the park. Splashin' Safari opened in 1993 with Congo River, Crocodile Isle, Bamboo Shoot, and Amazoom as the first attractions in its first year of operation. In 1995, Holiday World opened Raven, their first large-scale roller coaster, a 80' wooden coaster with nearly half a mile of track length. In 2000, an even larger wooden roller coaster was built: The Legend. The Legend focuses more on lateral turns rather than airtime hills, which the Raven possess more of. 2006 brought the largest additions to Holiday World at its time with the introduction of a new holiday themed area: Thanksgiving. To celebrate this great holiday and the 60th anniversary of Holiday World, the park introduced Voyage and Gobbler Getaway. The Voyage was the third wooden roller coaster that Holiday World built and is one of the tallest, longest, and best wooden roller coasters in the world. Holiday World started to break records in the water ride division by Pilgrim's Plunge in 2009, the world's tallest ride, and Wildebeest in 2010, the world's longest water "coaster". Holiday World beat Wildebeest's record in 2012 with the introduction of Mammoth, which is still the world's longest water coaster in the world. In 2015, Holiday World will open its largest attraction, Thunderbird, a B&M launched wing coaster and is the first large steel coaster that Holiday World ever built. This video showcases the many areas and attractions of Holiday World and even shows the current state of Pilgrim's Plunge and Thunderbird.

Opened in 2007, Maverick was the first of the Intamin LSM Blitz coasters that featured short 3 or 4 car trains in a launch coaster with quick turns, drops, and transitions. This design is especially popular with coaster enthusiasts and it ranked 6th on the Mitch Hawker 2013 Steel Roller Coaster Poll. Maverick starts off with a 105 ascent on a LSM launched lift with speeds around 15 mph. The first drop is 95 degrees, five degrees beyond vertical, and is one of the steepest drops in North America. Then, Maverick goes into a high speed turn with two quick "snappy" s-curve transitions. An airtime hill follows these series of turns. After the airtime hill is the horseshoe roll, a coaster element that features a right turn, right corkscrew, left turn, left corkscrew, and a right turn. Next, the coaster slows down to a crawl and then speeds up with the second launch, this one bringing the train up to speeds of 70 mph. A high speed left turn occurs after the 70mph launch which leads up to the second highest hill of the coaster that features trims to slow the 70mph speed down to a more suitable speed for the rest of the layout. A spiral drop downwards occurs afterwards, which passes by a few water bombs that leads into a lull point in the ride. This low point formerly was a very "snappy" heartline roll (barrel roll). Due to the extremity of this element, it was removed for a low-intensity s-turn. After this lull point, Maverick continues on to two consecutive overbank turns that are some of the most intense parts of the ride. After the overbanks is a small airtime hill that follows into the final brake run of the ride. This entire layout composes of 4450 feet of adrenaline-filled intensity. Maverick is in the Frontiertown themed area of Cedar Point. Maverick sits on the former location of White Water Landing and the original Shoot the Rapids.
