I was surprised when the HD release of Banana Blitz had a new soundtrack - seems like they didn't want to relicense the old music or something. I think the original game has one of the very best Wii soundtracks, and so while I was a bit disappointed, a few tracks like this one were still welcome additions.
With the additional FDS channel, I split it between the bass and the melody, and I think it adds a really cool type of sound. I also used it for percussion at the end of the song.
