He is one but many of the self-centered and spiteful individuals of the sidewalk we all walk past while playing our old, beloved, and boring GTA IV (Of course GTA V will blow this one away). We probably shot him many times and killed him for being a pedestrian, or he just got in the way of our bullets or vehicle. Or fists. But have you ever stopped to wonder what that one simple man has been through to appear in that exact moment in that exact area in the virtual realm? Neither do I. In this episode, Tommy is introduced to the general public and displays how he finds conflict in the dumbest possible way ever recorded in human history. When you put two unworthy opponents, Tommy being one of them, with the biggest egos on the street into a pointless argument that's only happening for a neglectful expressed opinion about themselves, you'll reach a boiling point where someone just has to fall. Literally....But seriously, if you're one of those people to ever do that, you have my pity. The only reward for your pointless argument(s) and/or giving a poor illusion you are superior to others is a slight pat on the back coming from yourself, because you are alone and sad deep down inside. But I can tell you that one of the characters in this film is going to be in my future full-length movie (which will most likely never see the light of day unfortunately). Enjoy people shooting each other in repetitive ways.FUN FACTS THAT YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT- Special effects were achieved with Sony Vegas Pro 10 and Magic Bullet FX. Also greenscreened some effects from Garry's Mod, hehe.- For a short little pointless film, this did require some extra effort.- As you can see, the camera "jitters" occasionally for no reason except to blame the shitty GTA video editor. It just likes to mess up the camera when it renders. Groovy.- Those little bits of music heard in the introduction were made by me, using Mixcraft 5. The reason being is because in multiplayer you cannot walk in the PC version with a keyboard, so it had to be made in singleplayer while I spawned a walking salesman and followed him as the hitman, making the scene as much to my interest as possible. -DID YOU KNOW = That the salesman is seen at the very end of The Coffee Mugger? -I could really care less about a plot and common sense in these kinds of films, I just find it fun making action movies. -The video was going to be rendered in HDR lighting, but due to technical difficulties it had to be rendered as it is, with an added soft blur around the edges of the film. -If you know what game I was inspired by to make the tiny "8 years later" part, then you are considered "cool". -Notice how in some parts of the movie, objects tend to "flicker". Isn't that neat? -And no, I couldn't fit in a bonus scene this time. Too bad.

First-Person Project: The Jacknife Chronicles kitty0706 2010-08-21 | ~Storyline~ Aperture Corporation has won an election over the Combine forces in City 17. In order to expand their business to a larger scale, they chose to take over different sections of the city, evacuating all citizens of the section to build their headquarters. All citizens who resist shall be either apprehended or killed. Jacknife seeks revenge on this corporation. He saw his wife get brutally beaten and arrested by a secret agency under the Aperture Corporation because she resisted to evacuate with all the others. It is now his mission, his life, and his goal, to save his wife under the clutches of Aperture, and put an end to the one who's responsible for all of this. Part action, part free running, part thriller, comes a unique storytelling adventure told without any real dialogue. ~Some minor notes~ - Jacknife is a character based off the looks and name of a character from the game Mirror's Edge. - The effects seen when Jacknife was brushing alongside the wall in the introduction was made by a good friend of mine, Deremixproductions. He used Adobe After Effects to achieve this unique effect. - Most of the running is complete player control. Only rarely I used NPC's. - The shaky cam effect was achieved with SharpYe, an addon for Garry's Mod. - I am well aware of the small visual glitches that may be hard to spot at first. But if you do see any, just be aware that I know of it, so you don't need to point it out. And if you're wondering why I didn't correct those mistakes, it's because I'm lazy. - The monochrome effect in the introduction represents conformity in this film. In the beginning, we see Jacknife sitting on a bench, and he is the only object that is color, hinting at why he did not evacuate the area like the other citizens, because he believes that the only means of saving his wife is to break the laws of the Aperture Corporation. I was going to put an FAQ here, but Youtube won't allow me to put my long, descriptive answers. fffffff But now it's finally here, and it was well worth the time and effort that I have incorporated into this film. "In this episode, our protagonist escapes from the Combine's clutches within a nearby base. Later, he finally arrives at White Forest, and meets one of the Resistance leaders, Ranger. Ranger introduces the protagonist to the rebels at the base and informs him about a rocket the Resistance are building that will destroy the Combine super portal. After our hero impresses the leader from a small training course, Ranger gives our hero the nickname, Andy. Ranger explains to Andy about that being his father's name, and the night his parents were murdered by an unexplained assassin. Shortly afterwards, the Combine break into White Forest, trying to put an end to the rocket, and most importantly, the Resistance members within the base. Andy and Ranger get separated by a large steel door that closed during the lock-down sequence of the base, and the rest of part 2 is Andy trying to regroup with Ranger.
