Reviving and developing the excitement and fun of the original Jet Moto franchise, Jet Moto:SOLAR provides a new and compelling gameplay experience on PlayStation 2. With an all-new backstory set hundreds of years after the original games, JM:SOLAR ups the ante on racing excitement with new characters, technologically advanced Motos, now called GRVs, all-new gameplay modes, and
beautiful and challenging environments.
New characters with individual stories are presented through well-designed cinematics, and character-based stunts revive and improve on the best feature of the original series.
Gravity Resistant Vehicles (GRVs) have been developed into marvels of technology. Now, alive and animating, all GRVs can be modified with a variety of upgrades. Tweak your GRV for stunting, more speed, better turning, or a combination. A limiting system will encourage playing with the combinations of improvements in order to get the best performance.
Drawing from the best of science fiction design and art from the last fifty years, the environments will be a visual treat as well as presenting challenges for the player. As interactive as possible, the tracks will involve shortcuts, hazards, and racing problems for the player to master.
All-new and time-tested, Jet Moto:SOLAR takes familiar fun to the next level.

Endorsements:
“Things move so fast in the game industry that developers are always in danger of forgetting their roots. Thanks to the PlayStation Museum and other indie efforts to preserve our history, new generations of developers can learn from the experience of the ones who came before… and old gamers can enjoy reminiscing, too. Good work, guys.”
Ernest Adams, founder of the International Game Developers’ Association
Violent Seed was an edge-of-your-seat 3D shooter available exclusively for the Sony PlayStation. The game featured intense 3D scrolling landscapes with enemies that get right up in your face, as you battle your way through the worlds most prized landmarks. As an alien team, taking back technology that was stolen, it's your job to face the worst the world can throw at you. Human ingenuity and alien weaponry combine to challenge your gameplay skills to the max in this all-out trip through hell.
According to the programmer's website, Violent Seed was cancelled because... In November of 1996, Viacom decided to close down Viacom New Media's administrative and marketing offices in New York. All management responsibilities were devolved to Virgin Interactive and management in the Chicago development offices. In January of 1997 a new General Manager joined Viacom NewMedia in Chicago, also known as Rabid Entertainment. A couple of weeks into his tenure, he was told that the company must become self-sustaining and would be spun-off as a separate entity. In April of 1997 it became apparent that Virgin Interactive was not interested in bringing the company into their organization, and a buyer was sought for Rabid. At the same time, it was also announced that Virgin Interactive would be put on the block, following a commitment to shareholders that Viacom was pulling out of the games business.
When no buyers were forthcoming, Rabid went through a series of downsizing operations to become more attractive to potential buyers. When this didn't have the desired effect, the final decision was made to close the company and call it a day.
In mid-August 1997, the company laid-off most of their production workforce, including the entire Violent Seed development team. Ultimately Violent Seed was unable to find a potential publisher.
Although this game was still an early work in progress, Violent Seed had so much potential and would have become one of the better SHMUPS on the PlayStation. There is a great amount of detail such as cars exploding in the air or humans running away on fire from a bombed car.

THE STORY:
A computer lab technician working on a top secret weapon for the government was planning to steal the information and sell it to Ivana for a king’s ransom. While trying to leave with the stolen CD-Roms he stored the information on, the technician had a mishap with Queelocke, Freefall’s teleporting critter friend.
Unexpectedly, the technician was whisked away to an unknown location, and his CD’s were scattered randomly around the world.
Queelocke returned to La Jolla, Gen13’s current home, with a CD. Lynch was able to determine the contents, and realized the threat posed if these CD’s fell into the wrong hands. The Gen13 team must get them back.
Meanwhile, Ivana finds herself a little upset that her CD’s have not been handed over. She immediately initiates a search of her own, no holds barred.
With the help of Queelocke, the Gen13 team will scour the globe in attempt to retrieve the CD’s before Ivana. It is up to the player to succeed, gathering as many CD’s as possible. Ivana’s troops won’t give up easy, however, and are bound to snag a few CD’s themselves. It is inevitable that the Gen13 team will face Ivana in the end to re-capture the final CD’s.
CANCELLATION:
After just a few months of programming, Gray Matter developed two polished interactive levels, an arena mode, and FMV for both the PlayStation and PC. Three different characters were created for the two side-scrolling levels as well as enemies. Four characters and an enemy Boss were programmed for the Arena mode. Below are screenshots from the interactive PlayStation beta versions.
Unfortunately the agreement between Gray Matter and Electronic Arts reached an impasse due to business politics. As a result Gray Matter closed down therefore ceasing all projects and all employees losing their jobs. Due to the amount of money spent and the popularity of Gen13 wavering, EA decided it was not financially feasible to engage another developer and instead decided to cut their losses. Fortunately many of the former Gray Matter employees who lost their jobs were hired by EA Canada and went on to develop Knockout Kings.

It really has been that long since we first crept down that mansion hallway, jumping out of our skins as a zombie dog shot through a window and snapped at our heels. A decade and a half of head shots, first aid sprays, and mastering unlocking later and here we are.
Capcom wants to remind us of the five Resident Evil titles they've got in store for us this year and beyond with the trailer above. Resident Evil: Mercenaries, Resident Evil: Revelations, the HD ports of Code Veronica X and Resident Evil 4, and the newly announced Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
Note: This video was created with archived video footage that has already been shown elsewhere. While searching for archived media, this video footage was discovered. The PlayStation Museum is not in possession of the game and only seeks to preserve the history of the title through screenshots and video. The PlayStation Museum web-resource will be re-launched on 9/9/2011. Be sure to check out Capcom's upcoming titles Resident Evil 4 HD and Resident Evil Code Veronica HD.
No zombies were hurt in the making of this video.
**Please respect Capcom's right not to pursue releasing the original Resident Evil 2, Megaman, or any other property. They are doing what they think is best and in hindsight, re-visiting RE 2 does not make business sense. The best we can do is support Capcom's software lineup and hope for the best. I for one will be buying the new Resident Evils in HD and suggest you do the same. Perhaps a RE movie based on Elza's character would have a better chance of happening. Has anyone contacted the director yet?
