Fun Time on Bumper Cars on Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas Cruise Ship! Pete Wylie RC 2023-06-24 | Hi all. Not an RC video this time but just a little video from a recent family holiday on the Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas. These are the onboard bumper cars and my co driver and camera operator was my sister Jane. Amazing that you can not only have bumper cars on an ocean liner but also that they are self powered unlike the ones at the fair that have the pole to pick up the electricity. Is the Arrma Outcast 4s, the Best Basher Ever? Probably! Pete Wylie RC 2023-04-08 | Hi all. Bit of bash footage of my Arrma Outcast 4s. I am planning to do a review of this at some point and I took it to this location to see how it was and get some footage for the review. Turns out that this is the sort of area that this truck is best at. The problem with it on surfaces with more traction like grass and tarmac is that it's always on the back wheels and so you can only really steer while braking. On this loose ground the back wheels can slide so it's easier to throw around. I will explain more if I ever get round to making that review video. Meanwhile I thought it was worth sharing this footage. So is it the best basher? Well it must be pretty high on the list! I know people have broken these while doing huge jumps but doing this sort of stuff, it's really solid and a load of fun. How to Adjust Arrma 3s 4s Slipper Clutch Setting. Kraton, Outcast, Granite, Senton, Big Rock, Typhon Pete Wylie RC 2023-01-20 | Hi all. This is to show how to adjust the slipper clutch on the Arrma 3s and 4s line of RC cars.You can set it without taking out the power module (motor and spur gear assembly) but I do also show how to get the power module out. I did a video which shows how to take the clutch apart which is here youtube.com/watch?v=VIZjLzv3jZ4Basically you want the clutch to be nearly at the point of slipping when you use it normally so that it will slip in more extreme situations like landing a big jump. I was asked how fast my brushless Tamiya Hornet is and I just had to go and find out. This has a 3421kv Absima Thrust brushless set and a 4000mah lipo battery. It was rather difficult to get this up to top speed with the lack of traction and general rubbish handling but I managed eventually.Thanks to Damian at Dusty Fingers RC for the top tip about adding oil shocks to the front of this. My Tamiya XV-01 Being Tortured at the Golf Course! RC Lancia Delta Integrale Brushless Pete Wylie RC 2022-08-08 | Hi all. A bit of footage of my Tamiya XV-01 Lancia Delta Integrale on a trip to my local golf course. Luckily there weren't many golfists to spoil the fun. All filmed using my GoPro 10 on a pole in my right hand and driving one handed with my left. You may have noticed in the past that I haven't had much of the sound of the RC's on my videos and the reason being that I always had the GoPro inside a waterproof case as added protection against damage but that did make the sound absolute rubbish. Anyway the GoPro Hero 10 has a replaceable lens cover unlike the 8 I had so I'm being brave and using it naked on the pole. What's the worst that could happen? I think it does add something to have the sound of the car along with the music. Eagle eared viewers might hear the belt slipping on some bits and I've put a bit more tension on it since then. First of all BIG THANKS to the RC Elf for getting me these great kits. It's amazing what Mr. Elf has been doing around the RC channels and much appreciated. It was quite a while ago that I was in communication with Mr. Elf and put in the order but I missed the first batch so I sat tight and at last they have arrived. This is a side by side comparison of the Blockhead and standard versions of the Wild One. I thought it would be interesting because the Blockhead one is currently £70 more than the original which some might say is getting a bit on the steep side. Thought I'd do a video of my thoughts on the Tamiya Blackfoot on the ORV chassis and say 'sort of' a lot. This is a good fun RC but I've had a few issues with it which I discuss. One thing I forgot to mention is that the instructions for this say not to glue the tyres on so I didn't and they ended up full of sand. I glued them after that and no more issues. Tamiya Volvo Hauler A60H G6-01 Brushless Speed Test and Bash. 6WD RC Monster Truck Pete Wylie RC 2022-05-27 | Hi all. Just a little speed test and run of my G6-01 Volvo Hauler. As you can see from the speed test even a brushless set and 2s lipo doesn't make the top speed that high but what it has is plenty of power to blast up the slopes. This is the local gun range and the banked sides are ideal for this RC. Check out the build series of this if you are interested in this kit. The run did get cut slightly short by a step screw in the suspension popping out. I couldn't find it and didn't have a spare so game over for this one that day. All fixed now. Now I'm not one to blow my own trumpet (I tried once and did my back in) but while watching this bear in mind that I'm driving one handed with my left hand while pointing the gopro on a pole at the truck with my right hand. Arrma & Traxxas Awesome RC Bashing! Arrma Granite, Big Rock, Traxxas Xmaxx, Axial Yeti in Action! Pete Wylie RC 2022-05-06 | Hi all. Took a few RC's out the other day and captured a bit of footage. I had my Arrma Granite and Axial Yeti. Thanks to Ric who had the Arrma Big Rock and Simon who had the Traxxas (boo, hiss) Xmaxx. Much as I like to hate on Traxxas for their business ethics I have to say the Xmaxx was a nice bit of kit and the only one that didn't break! I did notice that my subs had gone past 4000 recently so thank you if you are one of my subs it is much appreciated. I'll do some sort of video to commemorate it soon but I just want it to go past 4000 by a bit in case a few leave in the meantime! For now thanks very much for watching this one. Kyosho Turbo Optima vs. Turbo Scorpion. Retro 80s RCs with Brushless Power! Pete Wylie RC 2022-04-29 | Hi all, a bit of Kyosho action for you this week. First of all thanks to Simon for letting me drive and video his lovely Kyosho Turbo Optima. It has the Hobbywing 4000kv max 10 brushless set and he was running it with 3s lipo which might have been a bit too much but was rather fun. My Kyosho Turbo Scorpion is 3421kv brushless and I'm using a 2s lipo battery which is just about right I'd say. Tamiya XV-01 Brushless Speed Test and Review. Lancia Delta Integrale RC rally car. Pete Wylie RC 2022-04-24 | Hi all. A little follow up to my video about the Tamiya Lancia Delta Integrale XV-01 which is now brushless. Was it a good idea and is it better? Well yes and yes! To be honest I would normally expect a slightly bigger increase in speed with a brushless set but it's quick enough and the main thing is that it didn't lose too much speed on grass. This is the Absima Thrust BL ECO set running with a 2s lipo battery. As ever thanks everso much for watching. Brushless Tamiya Holiday Buggy Rides Again! DT-02 2010 Holiday Buggy 3500kv 2s lipo bash session. Pete Wylie RC 2022-04-17 | Hi all. Continuing with the theme of my RC's that I have rebuilt since the fire in 2018, here we have the DT-02 Holiday Buggy. Now this isn't quite the first outing for this Holiday Buggy as it did appear briefly with Street Rover wheels and tyres on a montage video. The Street Rover tyres are utterly hopeless off road but I really liked the look of it with those on so it's been a more of an ornament on my shelf for quite some time. Anyway I was inspired by a recent Mark Bryan video of his Holiday Buggy to get the standard tyres on mine and give it a darned good thrashing. I'm using the wheels from a Tamiya DT-02 Nissan Titan as I'm not a fan of the yellow wheels on this. Shame they didn't make those kit wheels in a gunmetal colour plastic like the original HB from the 80's. The spec is Absima Thrust 3421kv combo with 2s lipo. Oil shocks all round with a modified metal front shock tower. I'm using a Desert Gator body shell as a dust guard under the HB shell. Bearings of course. Other than that all standard. I would like to do the mod that was on my pre fire HB which was to reduce the track of the front wheels so that they are nearer the wheel arches. That involves cutting the ends off the front arms and making new holes. Also that one had a load of strength mods on the body and I have got another body to build up so I might do those mods on that. My Brushless Red Tamiya Hornet is Reborn! RC Bash Session. Hornet rises from the ashes. Sort of! Pete Wylie RC 2022-04-08 | Hi all. Well I've been steadily replacing RC cars that were lost in the big fire of 2018 and of course I had to rebuild a Hornet in the same bright red (Tamiya PS-34) colour scheme as the previous one. It's brushless as before and this time I managed to arrange the electronics so that I could squeeze in the (slightly trimmed) driver. Again I added a Lunchbox wheelie bar as the sting in the Hornet's tail. Also I put the lights on from the start which happened a bit later on the first one so they weren't on the initial video. The original was number 7 and I went with 8 for this so you can see which is which in the video. I didn't have the fantastic low sunshine that I had on that original video and also no puddles so this video is not as arty farty. This is a more accurate depiction of a bash session with a Hornet which is basically it falling other endlessly due to its quite frankly rubbish handling! Is brushless too much for this chassis? Well yes to be honest but there is some fun to be had in trying to run it at full speed without it tipping over. As ever thank you for watching. Please like and comment and all that good stuff :-)
