How I made Adoptable Vampire Children Using the Creation Kit and SSEdit (Skyrim Special Edition)
updated
The final achievement I needed was defeating a chalice boss dungeon. Just getting there requires a lot of work because you need to get specific materials, some of which are quite rare and fight hard bosses. The Pthumerian Queen can be cheesed by summoning an NPC for the fight and using the Augur or Ebrietas for easy backstab viscerals.
With that out of the way I'm celebrating by doing a cosplay of Father Gascoigne and fighting him as, well, him. I have the Beast's Embrace rune equipped to look like him in beast form. Also equipped are the outfit (can't see the hat because the rune makes headwear invisible), hunter ax, hunter pistol and beast claw.
Starting off I use the ax and pistol just like Gascoigne. The plan was to mimic his attacks and parry after he shoots at you, but it got sloppy. After losing part of his health, the boss transforms his weapon (now that the ax is two handed I cannot use the gun anymore). I am able to mimic his moves more accurately this phase.
Lastly, for his beast form, I equip the claws. This part was tough because the boss attacks faster and more aggressively. I also use the Old Hunter Bone to match his fast movements and to make things easier. Even so, I almost died a few times. Luckily the charged R2 attack is able to knock him down, and at the end I get lucky with a visceral.
Not exactly a clean fight.
Then weapon enchantment effects of many different colors. Not shown in the video is I applied the effects for armor/clothing as well, I put them in the vampire chest in the south east corner of the main room.

It consists of a cowl, helmet, cuirass, gauntlets, boots and blade. Additionally two spell tomes for summoning a guardian and steed.
Next are some energy swords for Star Wars day. People have wanted one handed lightsabers, and this is the best I could do. Four different kinds: One handed (dagger animation), two handed (greatsword animation), Count Dooku (sword animation, Goldbrand DLC required) and General Grievous (dagger animation).
One thing I'll have to point out is if you kill all the snake statues in this area the poisoned water disappears. You can reset that by restarting the mission.
0:00 On my first playthrough of Dark Souls I'm in the part of Blighttown where the fire keeper souls is located. Ganked at the ladder.
0:20 Lower part of Undead Burg. Got out of a tricky situation by teleporting out (which I normally wouldn't recommend because you usually end up dying). Somehow it worked even though I seem to have lost all health.
0:45 Fighting the black knight in the Darkroot Basin area. Made a bad roll to my death, but the knight tumbled in after me and I got his halberd. :)
1:10 Fighting the hollowed crest fallen warrior. Bad AI + cliff edge = disaster.
1:32 Ornstein and Smough boss fight. When you kill one of them, phase 2 starts. I died when the scene started loading, and the game didn't register it.
2:21 In my most recent playthrough of Bloodborne. Forgot humanoid NPCs can climb ladders.
2:48 An item loot on a surface edge. Nothing could possibly go wrong there.
3:11 Boss fight in a chalice dungeon. Made the mistake of trying to heal during the bosses' fire attack spam.
3:27 Rematch against the same boss. This time around I made sure to dodge a safe distance away before healing. And to not take any chances I armed myself with a cannon to finish him off.
4:06 Shots with the pistol are meant to stagger, not for damage. However I was so low on health during an annoying boss combo it was enough to kill me.
4:17 These enemies can paralyze you, then perform a grab attack that drains your insight (the eye symbol at the top right of the screen) and health. Attempting to escape up a ladder was proving unfruitful, so quit out right before I would have died. Fooled Miyazaki, or so I thought. Upon respawning I couldn't heal fast enough before getting killed. Running away might have worked, but it's risky either way.
First off an Atreus for the Kratos Follower mod (both versions). Only available as an adoptable NPC. No combat capabilities because Bethesda has rules against violence concerning children. Kratos is now marriable per request.
Next we have requested skins for the Marcus Vampire Lord Follower mod. There are three types of skin: Vampire Lord (regular skin), Marcus (green skin) and Molag Bal (dark grey skin) and different armors making for dozens of combinations.
Lastly we have changes to the Deucalion Follower mod. He looks more like a human werewolf now and also turns into an actual werewolf when losing a certain amount of health.
For those of you who are not familiar with the cut content areas, here is a playlist detailing most of them: youtu.be/Jo1FcswH_vM?list=PLLw6jr9nSJaxcrSoqAscfjXQh89ecRYmQ
Starts with the first area inside the ship, where you get a nice view of the area outside. The following areas are connected by books.
4:42 This sword the Flesh Rotter has an absorb health effect and comes in useful later on.
7:17 I had accidentally backtracked to the area right after the ship. Weapon came in useful against the mini boss here. I searched the place a bit more, to the point of falling off a chasm. Another thing I found was a large pile of bodies. Interesting.
15:40 Finally on track progressing the area. The Lurker enemy here is pretty tough, so I use nearly all my remaining arrows to safely finish him off.
18:01 Boss room. This guy spawns the same enemies you see in part 1. Fight is pure agony.
21:05 After multiple attempts of escaping, I manage to get out of the place with only the main boss following me. I don't have enough arrows to deal with him, so I make a new save and hope for the best.
23:24 I reenter the boss room in the hopes of picking up a staff to fight the boss with but end up getting spawn killed. Eventually I give up and go back to the last save. Worth noting I died quite a few times ever since first entering the boss are but edited a lot of it out to shorten the video.
24:05 Finally got the break I needed. The boss got too close to the edge of a platform and I was able to knock him off and let gravity do the rest. Reason my character suicided off was to see where the body fell (I forgot about the Lurker whose body was lying nearby. After checking later I found it didn't have any new items made for the mod apart from the arrows I pumped into it).
27:02 Decided to have another try at the summoned NPCs in the boss room (using dual Flesh Rotter swords in the hopes of healing faster than taking damage). Got lucky this time because they were too busy fighting each other.
And that is the whole mod storyline from start to finish. Hope you enjoyed it.
Starts off with the next location you have to visit, the Excavation Sight southeast of Windhelm. This place is on the map before you discover it.
2:53 There are multiple chains that need to be pulled to open the doors. The NPCs in this room are essential, so don't bother with them.
4:36 The wall has the next clue. Apologies for rushing through this part. I had to rerecord it, so things were done fast.
5:21 Key is necessary to progress the quest.
6:36 This shop is the next place you need to go. You need the key to open the trapdoor.
8:32 The hammer has an enchantment that absorbs health, making it very useful against tough bosses.
11:24 Bow and arrows which will become necessary against enemies that I can't go up against with melee.
12:30 Very tough boss who one shots me. Because I had made a new game for this, the best tactic was to use the bow and go into sneaking for extra damage (otherwise you run out of arrows).
0:14 You start the quest by reading a note on the bar counter of any of the inns in the nine holds (the other inns at the small towns will not have the note). As far as I can tell all the notes say the same thing.
0:32 Next part is in a jail. After searching the place I came to the conclusion you needed a key to the prison cell, which I was going to pickpocket from a guard. Then I checked one more time and found what you actually had to do.
1:40 At the college I had a hard time finding any information to progress. There was a riddle book; I couldn't tell if it was part of the vanilla game or not. Eventually I found a locked chest. Skip to the next time stamp to see me progress. It turned out the chest wasn't from this mod. I spent a good amount of time searching for a key but eventually gave up and used the mod Ring of Unlocking to unlock it. Also while searching I found an interesting ring in a character's inventory. Hmmm...
10:27 Finally found the information to progress. Luckily this updates the map with a new location, and since I had just started a new game there weren't many places on the map.
11:48 Next place. Because this area was created for the mod, I didn't edit out any of my exploration of the area. What you might notice is that I seem to know exactly where the new clothing/armor are located. This is because I created them for the mod and placed them. The weapons on the other hand were done by Neon Eye and this is the first time I've seen them apart from work in progress pictures.
20:07 First boss fight area. This fight was too tough for me to get through (and on novice difficulty no less), so I eventually got the next clue and left. Some funny moments. 23:38 Owned by the boss. 26:18 and 27:52 Spawn killed.
31:15 After trying to escape the are I had accidentally backtracked and found the bosses were fighting each other :D. Rest of the video is just me escaping and checking for additional loot.
In the last update I added the Ash Zombie body as a wearable loincloth. Lately I found that by using a texture that doesn't cover the entire loincloth it now looks more like a speedo. It's tricky though because textures that cover only certain areas are few and far in between. Even worse is that most textures like that leave holes in the clothes (and there isn't a body underneath all that, just empty space).
Now you might be wondering, what if I did the same with the loincloth for male characters? Doesn't work for two reasons:
1. That loincloth doesn't have underwear beneath it.
2. Using a texture that covers only a certain area won't make any part of the loincloth disappear (that's how some meshes are).
The first armor shown is from an NPC called Undying Ghost from the Necromantic Grimoire CC mod.
Next are many variants from the Spellknight mod. There are three different textures for the armor: steel, iron and ebony. Armor with yellow sash is iron, red sash is steel, blue sash is ebony. Iron has less armor on it than steel, elite and ebony have the same texture, only difference is elite has less armor on it.
Then a shiny version of the Vigil Silverhand armor from the Vigil armor mod.
Lastly are armors from the Ghosts of the Tribunal mod. Also included is the loincloth worn by the Ash Zombies from that mod as well as an underwear variant.
After all that is a requested spell called Hakai (based off a PC spell mod) and an enchanted weapon version. The spell turns all non essential NPCs in the nearby area to ash.
This mod update focuses on how armor in Oblivion the previous Elder Scrolls game looked. The glass armor is considerably more colorful than in Skyrim. Ebony armor/weapons in Oblivion were black with gold trim, so I went for that look. The cape and one of the shields is from the Civil War Champions DLC, so you'll need to own that or they will be invisible.
Lastly we have the Skull of Corruption, which in Oblivion creates a clone of the NPC it is cast on. That may not be possible for Skyrim, so I created an NPC who is a clone of the Player. If you are playing as a female character, she will have a male voice. To fix it you can install the mod or "Female Player Mannequins (PS4)".
In addition I added recolored Ancient Falmer gear that you see me wearing at the beginning of the video. Also the mod Summon Deadly Assassin has been added to the mod compilation, the items are in the same container as the Dark Brotherhood clothes from Shrouded Cowl Request. Another requested item is a spell called Hakai, it turns NPCs into an ash pile, located in the same container.
The CC content is in four containers:
1. Recolored CC Capes requires Civil War Champions and uses the Imperial Cape. You find single color capes as well as city/faction based capes.
2. CC Recolored Equipment contains mostly recolored alternate steel armor.
3. Colorless Creation Club Container (try saying that fast five times) has colorless versions of mostly alternate armors and some weapons.
4. Creation Club Goblin Chest has mostly spears from the Goblins DLC. In the video I am unable to see the spears because I do not own Goblins on the PS4, therefore the data from that mod does not show up on my game. That will be the case with any items that you do not own the mod for in your game.
This mod was requested. I added five custom looking female vampire followers (no face bug) throughout the game. Details:
Druscilla: A Dark Elf vampire who mostly uses magic but has a mace on hand in case she runs out of magicka. Located in the Hall of the Dead in Whiterun.
Serina: Serana's lesser known younger sister (never could get her father's favor). She relies mostly on her dual swords but can cast Life Drain. Can also summon a vampire lord. Located in the Hall of the Dead in Solitude.
Cordelia: A Redguard vampire. She doesn't know magic but instead uses a warhammer and crossbow with explosive bolts to make up for that. You can control what bolts she uses by taking away the others. Located in the Hall of the Dead in Markarth (you'll need lockpicks or the mod Ring of Unlocking because the door is locked at level adept).
Mathilda: An Imperial vampire who feeds on her victims by draining their life energy. She also summons a gargoyle. Located in the Hall of the Dead in Windhelm.
Elvira: A royal Khajiit vampire. She knows a few defensive spells but uses staffs for combat. Located in the Hall of the Dead in Riften.
Next off we have unbound weapons and armor. The original bound weapons have a ghostly effect in the shape of the Daedric weapons, which don't look good if you put the enchantment on a different weapon because the effect won't fit. So I made unbound weapons that have the same glow but don't have the ghostly effect. Also included armor with the same glow. You can put the enchantment on other armor, but be aware it will make your whole body glow.
From the video are a few important things. There's a book titled Mod List stating the names and locations of all the mods. Next to it is a book that will detail updates to the mod. I also added spell tomes in a chest that let you turn into a vampire lord or werewolf without having to learn the power beforehand. In the basement are filled soul gems for enchanting.
Gravity is easily the worst enemy in Elden Ring. It's also why you cannot get to many areas (due to the many high cliffs in this game) without having to find another way around.
Luckily there is a way to safely fall from a higher height. It involves staggering an enemy right by the edge of a surface and performing a critical hit. If done right you will fall during the animation.
By the looks of it you have to hit the ground no later than when the animation ends or you will die. In the video example I was trying to get to the bottom of a lift in Stormveil Castle. At the very top is an archer you can sneak up on. From that height you will die before your character hits the ground (I did notice that if you perform a jump or falling attack you won't die until hitting the ground. Because of that I attempted those actions in the later attempts, that is why you can hear the button mashing).
Eventually I found that the lowest height you can fall is survivable using the critical hit animation method. The area I was able to reach is actually accessible from a certain spot on the roof; I looked up a guide video afterwards because I had no idea how you are supposed to legitimately get there.
Another thing I have to mention is since this trick depends on how long the critical hit animation lasts, you should be able to do it from an even greater height if for some reason there happens to be any longer animations. The riposte for bladed weapons and fists seem to be about the same length. I was unable to test the animations for axes/blunt weapons because I could never get my character to fall off with them (it seems you stand closer to the enemy when performing the animation). I also didn't try it with backstabs yet since they weren't as easy to pull off.
"Toss a coin to your Dragonborn"
To make the snow look more detailed, here are the settings you'll want to turn brightness, contrast, and sunlight scale to low.
The mod Brightness/Saturation/Contrast Changer allows you to change those settings with a spell that is added into your inventory. This is a great tool for restoring the glow effect on the lightsabers.
Here are the settings you'll want:
Low: brightness, sunlight scale
High: saturation, bloom scale
Here is a list of popular mods that reduce the lightsaber glow outdoors or indoors:
"[PS4] Surreal Lighting" - Reduces glow outdoors.
"Dolomite Weathers" - Reduces glow outdoors.
"Obsidian Weathers" - Reduces glow outdoors.
"Lively Graphics Overhaul" - Reduces glow outdoors.
"NLA - Natural Lighting Aesthetica" - Reduces glow outdoors and indoors.
"Epic Enhanced Console Graphics V5 (PS4)" - Reduces glow most places.
"[PS4] Obscura - Weather and Lighting (Hazy)" - Reduces glow outdoors.
"TWC Picturesque Pure" - Reduces glow outdoors.
"TWC There and Back Again" - Reduces glow outdoors.
So far I've seen just a few of these types of mods not mess with the lightsaber effect, such as "ELE Interior Lighting Overhaul" "Relighting Skyrim" and "Rustic Weathers and Lighting".
This also showcases requested black bound weapons from the last update. The reason there are two types of black bound weapons is because the coloring doesn't show up as much as the other weapons, so I made a version called "black shadow" that doesn't have the bound weapon effects.
I am proud to say there is now a solution for the clipping with Argonians and Khajiits (due to the size and shape of their heads). Equip the item called Hoodless Invisible Head which replaces your character's head with a neck and equip a hood to cover your missing head.
