What you need to do is send me a track of any genre for consideration. Make sure there is no swearing. I’m trying to keep the tracks around 3 1/2 minutes where possible to insure a higher possibility for radio play this is not essential. A previously unreleased track that isn’t available on any other platforms.
Absolutely no AI music it will be checked and I have the means to check it
The songs are made for kids with cancer. It’s just a song that will generate proceeds to helping kids with cancer. not necessarily a song about cancer all people listen to these albums of all age groups but because kids can listen as well I cannot have swearing in any of the tracks unless you wanna bleep out the swearword yourself. you’re just lending me the use of your track for you on this charity album. All the music still belongs to the owners for you to release after the album is out.

She was my mum’s cat really and we got her as a rescue,
I had just lost my cat and didn’t want another but my mum
Couldn’t resist looking after a very nervous cat.
She hid behind our cooker for the first month we had her
Before becoming attached to my mum’s lap until my mum died
early this year.So I’ve been taking care of Luna up until this
Week where she didn’t seem well and had stopped eating
followed by not drinking……I couldn’t see her suffering and took
Her to the vets to be put to sleep…….so maybe she’s back sitting
On my mums lap once again and annoying her for food now………
Farewell Luna you walked between my legs and was a pain but
I loved ya……🐈she was about 18 so had a good innings

russ8889 2025-07-21 | I have my suspicions that AI music is creeping into the community so you have to ask yourself is this AI because sometimes when things are to good to be true then there generally are.I hope it isn’t the case and should maybe question my years of listening to music maybe im loosing it lol,As opposed to hard working life long masters of there craft that we all try to perfect over years of practice,to people who are hoodwinking us all maybe ,it’s a shame AI is getting better to the point now it’s incredibly hard to tell with program like Suno and a few others and you really have to dig deeper now these days through stuff………the early versions weren’t as good so easy to spot.

This is an original track made in Logic Pro on the iPad and took about a week to get it reasonable as does the majority of my music if I’m quick sometimes months in the making.

I did actually think about putting up a AI track i done testing stuff out but my integrity wouldn’t let me even tho it actually surprised me and it wasn’t bad…lol i did wonder how many people would notice….possibly nobody if i didn’t mention it wasAI

My mum is my world and now my whole world has just changed

From the day I was born until the day mum passed she done nothing but unconditionaly loved me as I do mum
, as her last words to me from the ambulance was make sure you have your dinner before coming to the hospital……

That’s mum,always putting everyone else first
I could talk with my mum about anything and everything that wouldn’t worry her at least

Mum really was my best friend,I’m lucky enough to have had
Spent so much time living with mum and we knew each other so well.

Mum was up for anything,……she would give it a go, …..mum really did have
A lot of skills,mum just had the touch and exceeded in most but would never think that what she did was that great…….. mum was just humble….her painting,,flower arrangements and cooking but mum excelled in her music ,poetry and her twisted sense of humour.My mum,cup of tea,apron on….tissue in pocket and smelling salts nearby just in case…

I would always run my own music past my mum and ask for mums opinion ,if it passes the mum test it must be ok

I was able to give my mum some special moments
One of those was surprising her with a harp she had always
Wanted to try.within 10 minutes she was playing a Queen song love of my life.

My wife Liz who had mum in her life more than her own mum
Has the greatest memory of mum just looking out at the falls,
Feet up ,cup of tea…

Equally loved it when our football teams played each other the banter up and down the stairs,Mum could take a joke as much as she could give out with her sense of humour and timing

Mum was just open minded from her choice of films or music.
We have seen all the Star Wars together over the years and mum loved opera to led zeppelin.

if you were my friend then soon you would become my mums
Friend,nobody could help but love mum,from babies to adults she could get on the level to engage with all

One of those people especially being my friend Mandy’s mum sue,
Who she would spend hours chatting with her and her sister Gwen in the garden.She was a good friend for my mum and was a great loss when she passed last year,hopefully there all be chatting again now and I’m sure Sue will be at the front of the cue to welcome mum.

Things were getting tougher for mum in the last year but she still managed to pull off three YouTube shows roasting people’s music
and mum is loved and missed all around the world as well..especially by my friends Jade,Brad and Dave who she spoke with most days while I was downstairs while mum’s cat lunar was attached to her lap.

Mum’s light was unfortunately beginning to dim due to her early dementia and she knew it and didn’t like it,I would sometimes catch mum crying to herself because she didn’t like what was happening to her….that was tough to see……So at least mum didn’t have to go through that,mum was to bright and didn’t deserve that.

My sister-in-law Sue helped my mum out and everything was fine as we had the best possible carer for my mum named Confidence.
She again became more than a caregiver,she put a smile on my mum’s face every day and became a good friend in a short time my mum loved the fuss she made of her….above and beyond…

I found an old birthday card mum had kept from me …and in it I said that I couldn’t imagine being without Mum

I was right….its worse than I imagined

Thank you for truly being the best mum to me
I hope to see you again someday
I love you Mum

about 90% of submissions were fine before and occasionally I have a problem with wetranser and Dropbox sometimes and some recordings were super loud and some quiet and we have to average them off
Again this is not a major issue but time is a bit shorter this time so if we can get close then great but don’t get hung up over it there are plenty of people can assist you,just reach out if you’re not sure .

Hopefully we can continue the success of the first album
as if our music can do a little good for somebody then we have achieved great things .

Dogtrax-In to deep (Last Night A DJ Saved My Life)remix

russ8889 2025-01-06 | So this was the record that started my new label s.c.r back in 1991.
Having sampled “In Deep’s Last night a DJ saved my life we thought best we do a white label and call the track just In Deep as we were in deep if we got sued for the sample.

Most of our releases were 3 or 4 track eps either different tracks or remixes.

Using our Atari we set about a house track similar in sound to what express 2 we’re making,we always had a disco element in the back of our minds as we also set about writing under different names for our label to create a impression of a established label sighing acts,that wasn’t the intention but we did end up releasing other artists on our label in later years.

We were lucky that a D.J Graham Gold started playing of record on kiss fm in London.This lead to more record sales and that enabled investment in more equipment and the next two releases.

I released the b side on my channel in 2024 and that was a slower more hip hop style.But this was for the Dancefloor and luckily it made people dance at the time.

Like now,back then we used to write in different styles as there was three of us involved with running everything to do with the label.It was a good start with some luck but we we’re officially now on the way after me leaving my job and my friends dropped out of college things were working out with out first release scr001.

So this year I’m unlocking the vault on my music and plan to release some tracks that have been gathering dust for sometime including s.c.r tracks,old IPad tracks,Delicate Giants plus all my new stuff.I may as well put it out there even I I’m not so fond of some of it,it is my journey through music and sometimes we all have a bad day in the office as well as the good.

Music 4 Life will be towards the end of the month January 2025 before I have more information to announce all you need to know is make a track that’s is not offensive,same as before and try to keep them under 5 minutes
The cut off date will be April 1st 2025 and information about sending a track to follow later this month

Shattered definitely sums up this Christmas for me and Lizz.A hard year it’s been.But it’s time for family and good friends.Tell your loved ones you love them while you can and in the light of events losing our daughter I plan to move forward in her name and be strong.

So I thank everybody for their kindness to me a Lizz in the comments on “Have Mercy “but I just can’t respond as yet .

I too now know what it is like to lose a daughter now,all be it not through cancer but if we can help these kids who haven’t had their lives yet to give them and their parents a little more hope,then we owe them that at least .

Tara-Lynn who sadly passed away on the 25th October 24,after nearly 3 months on life support.
Tara,only 39 was our daughter and me and my wife Liz are obviously devastated by this as are her two daughters and family she leaves behind.
For reasons this track was left from the album as it was put forward by Gary M for The Delicate Giants to work with.
The emotion and beauty in the guitar playing I feel at this moment is very fitting to Liz and mines loss.

I ask you to share this track as as fitting tribute to Tara

U.S.A radio interview pt 1-Buffalo 91.3 fm

russ8889 2024-11-25 | While in Buffalo in America during a chance chat to a Uber driver about music he played me some stuff and I told him a little bit about my own experience in music and he said he was part of a team who had a slot on a radio show and would I be interested in coming in to talk.
The first time I went on the show it was mostly talking about house/dance music history as some of my records made it DJs record boxes in the states.I don’t have a recording of this although Ed B Metal was listening and I also had the pleasure to meet with him and his wife,lovely people.
Anyway I was showing them some Delicate Giants stuff after the show and they said they done another show that was more band oriented and would I like to come back and talk about that.So this time I recorded the show and edited out the music in these versions.So here is part 1 of the interview.

Dean Thomas (on drums)was particularly happy with how the drums sounded on this track finding the right balance replacing drums that were originally on the scratch track I first made,Gary added his guitar in his usual one off take,
The again Jamie added the final element the track needed.I think all are different elements combined bring something a little different to the table but if nothing else it sounds good to me ….lol.One of Dean’s personal favourites from the album.

This track came from winning an app on Jade Starrs Patreon called GlitchScaper.
It threw out a rhythmic pattern that runs through the track giving the inspiration
for the track.With the bones of the track in place I then sent it to vero who not
only came up with the lyrics,vocals but added a beautiful melody that reminds me of something from Braveheart.
I then sent the track to Gary M who had put his strat on but only to remove it at the last second
and picked up his infinite sustain guitar he had just got from a local guitar dealer and just went
With the flow turning all the knobs on the guitar randomly.Next layer was Dean Thomas
adding those driving rhythms with various drums all pulling everything together.Now we have
the drums Jamie Mallender pulling out his fretless bass lays down a gentle smooth bass
pulling everything together.
Proud to work with these musicians.

Teardrop is perfect because whenever I think of Tara fighting for her life all I have in my eyes are teardrops.

It makes me realise how lucky we are to have each other around.
I’ve pulled on you all over the charity album and have never found myself on the
receiving end .
It’s great that we have each other’s backs when the odds are against us as we all
need a little help from time to time and I never make a fuss.
I get a good feeling from helping people myself so I’m grateful for Jade Starr
heading up the fundraising, to you all that we’re able to contribute i am truly grateful.
The money raised has allowed me to get far beyond my expectations so will be putting
this to good use rest assured.I managed to afford a refurbished iPad Pro 12.9”with 2tb so
I’m all set now along with a waterproof case.
The truth is I had both my iPads that were in my bag…….a expensive lesson to learn,
I’m insured now and have taken precautions against the water issue.

Dropped a clanger (PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION)

russ8889 2024-08-07 | Breaking away from the series of dance music history on my channel I have to release this as I definitely dropped a clanger this last week,
As some of you will know I’ve had the unfortunate experience of damaging my iPad with all of my music on since 2015,all my Delicate Giants projects and all stuff I’m working on,plus all my masters both old and new,this is quite devastating as a person who uses the iPad all day every day as a way of only to make music but hep me turn on lights and stuff because of my disabilities due to my stroke.
Jade Starr has kindly set up a fund for me to be able to buy another iPad and I know times are tough on everyone but the video Jade has put together describes it better than me.

Already I’m overwhelmed with the kindness of people who have already donated and I truly thank you and people who can’t but feel my loss you support is equally as important,if it’s one thing I have learned spending time around these channels of like minded musicians and music lovers and supporters.
We have something special and I’ve see us coming together to help each other out and never thought I would be that person.
Through something I’ve done everyday for 3years carrying my iPad with my drink in my bag I’ve never had a problem,I’m careful I thought.
Ive always sorted everything out for myself and never in my life have been a recipient of such kindness amongst all of you.Its hard for me to accept such things as I’m a giver not a taker.
But this is of a great personal loss to me and I have no means of being able to replace it myself so I’m swallowing my pride and accept this wonderful feeling you have all given me that this is becoming possible with you help.

I truly am floored by your kindness of people I hardly know to come together and help me ,

I will do my best to thank you all personally this means so much to me and I don’t forget things lightly or take them for granted.

russ8889 2024-07-30 | So after the freedom of illegal raves up until 1993 then the government introduced in 1994, the UK passed the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act, specifically targeting raves. This legislation aimed to crack down on events with "repetitive beats," giving police broad powers to shut them down if deemed appropriate.

So with no repetitive beats not being allowed without a license the rave scene moved back to the clubs and the clubs that started it all up in Ibiza were ready to cash in.Alike the clubs in London were turning into trendy clubs with dress code not the tracksuit bottoms and hoodies I was used to.Dance music had split up into many fragments and you had to find the one that suited,for me usually a techno club somewhere but as we were in amongst everything we often got free invites to these dress code clubs,as trance music started to become very popular here in the video you can see the extent of the commercialism and these clubs now charge €100 entrance fee,it used to be €20 and that was expensive lol.
Ambient music with no 4x4 started becoming more popular for a while as people rebelled against the bill,but raving to a cow moo wasn’t the best night out.

This track is me just wandering down one of those musical avenues,it just happens this one is kinda Trance I guess

DJs and producers creating a house track to be played in clubs may make a "seven or eight-minute 12-inch mix"; if the track is intended to be played on the radio, a "three-and-a-half-minute" radio edit is used.House tracks build up slowly, by adding layers of sound and texture, and by increasing the volume.

The term "house" came from DJs creating music in their house or at home using synthesizers and drum machines, such as the Roland TB-303,[38] Roland TR-808, and TR-909.These synthesizers were used to create the acid house subgenre.Juan Atkins, a pioneer of Detroit techno, claims the term "house" reflected the association of particular tracks with particular clubs and DJs, considered their "house" records.

So this is a tribute track to house music,something that’s in my DNA because for me it’s real life.

russ8889 2024-07-17 | This track has been lifted from my vinyl,This was a B side on the first e.p I released back in 1991.Found this amongst my records so thought it would be interesting to show the YouTube world.The main track on the A side done quite well for us at the time getting regular play on Kiss FM in London and was popular amongst the DJ’s playing in various clubs.It basically bankrolled me being able to continue running a record label for some years called South Circular Recordings (scr).Dogtrax was one of the names we used to work under and became quite popular.
I was looking on the internet for the Dogtrax logo and came across one of our other records for sale on Amazon USA,it was only $399.00 if you want a copy lol

these were some of the good times in my music history going to these M25 party’s and dancing all night to the music and embracing the whole culture.DJing at Spiral Tribe parties buying a Roland sh101 (bass)Tr808 (drums)and TB303 (the acid sound)and starting a music making journey.Raving was a way of life and usually started on a Thursday night at Land Of Oz soon to become RAGE under the arches at London Charring Cross,I still have my work diary from 1989 and I never worked one single Friday that year as RAGE could not be missed and was the start of the weekend partying.Fridays were a write off as my ears would be ringing from the night before from the regular line up of DJs such as Colin Favor (rip) Colin Dale,Fabio,Grooverider and one of my personal favourite DJs Trevor Fung but to name a few.Friday nights would be spent listening to pirate radio stations revealing where to meet for the big Rave on Saturday nights.Everyone was buzzing for the rave at the weekend turning service stations into mini raves waiting for the next update to out Fox the police.There were also a few good clubs weekly to get your fix if there wasn’t a big rave on.So much music was spawned from those times that you hear echoes of in today’s music.
To us it was the summer of love like thay talk about from the 60s .If you was part of it and you were there you know what that rebellious feeling of freedom was like,a simple nod and a smile was good enough to a stranger to let them know what a wicked tune was playing.No Alcohol no fighting no disrespect all races just dancing your ass off and having a good time with or without illegal drugs.This is certainly a time of my life I am happy to be a part of and will always brings a smile to my face when thinking about it and I still play the record’s every now and then.I’m most definitely in the crowds in the footage from some of these big illegal raves around the M25,that gave bands like Orbital there name …….the M25 the London Orbital,those same DJs playing for £50-100 a set today charge thousands. The music like it or not changed a lot in music,opening up so many styles that are still relevant today.Our generation of bedroom musicians using low tech equipment have changed a lot when you think about it,the power of the people and the love for music and the freedom to of had what we had.It was special.
