Koalas wont stop cuddling this girl Symbio Wildlife Park 2021-10-29 | These Koalas at Symbio Wildlife Park, south of Sydney Australia, won't stop cuddling their favourite human 'Zookeeper Liz'.The Koalas at Symbio have all been raised with being shown love and affection from Liz and the other Zookeepers at our wildlife park, and love nothing more than Koala cuddles, belly rubs, and of course, eating and sleeping. People always think that Koalas are lazy, but this is not the case at all. Their diet of eucalyptus leaves is so low in nutrients that they sleep for up to 22 hours a day and use what little energy they have for when it comes time to search for food and eat.

Worlds rarest Echidna loves life Symbio Wildlife Park 2021-05-05 | Leo, the albino echidna, loves going on adventures with his best friend Rex. Echidnas are already one of the most unique animals in the world, with them looking like a combination of a bird and porcupine and they even lay eggs. This makes them a monotreme, which is an egg-laying mammal. What makes Leo so special is he is an albino. Albinism occurs in approximately 1 in 17,000 of any species, so can you imagine trying to find 17,000 echidnas in the wild before being lucky enough to cross paths Leo?Leo lives here at Symbio Wildlife Park and was originally brought to Sydney as a puggle (baby echidna) after being found all alone in a suburban carpark on the South Coast of NSW.He was then hand raised by our director, and now helps educate tens of thousands of school children, and hundreds of thousands of visitors a year around anti-bullying, making them realise 'It's what's inside that counts'.

So many Kangaroo and Wallaby Joeys Symbio Wildlife Park 2020-08-27 | The team here at Symbio Wildlife Park are celebrating a record breaking breeding season in our Kangaroo Walk-Through Area, with the arrival of not one, not two, but 14 bundles of joy to their Kangaroo and Wallaby Mothers.Aging between 5-7 months old, many of the adorable little joeys are now starting to emerge to welcome the world outside their Mothers pouches in the cutest of ways, much to the delight of visitors. After last years drought, the timing of these births coincide with the first heavy rain falls we received earlier in the year, which also helped extinguish many of the bush fires that plagued NSW, so it is only fitting that after such destruction comes such a significant sign of hope and new beginnings.Born the size of a Jelly Bean, Joeys wriggle their way into the pouch and stay hidden in there growing for approximately 6 months until they start peeking out to see what all the fuss is about. This baby Koala just loves cuddling Symbio Wildlife Park 2019-03-08 | Ellie, the Koala Joey, just loves giving her mother cuddles any chance she gets. The love the two have for each other so adorable and shows you don't need to be human to have endless love.Koala joeys are born the size of a Jelly bean and make their way to their mothers pouch by wriggling.Once there they will attached themselves to a teat, and suckle until big and strong enough to start emerging from their mothers pouch at around 6 months of age. During these later months the mother will feed their joey a substance called pap. Cutest Aussie Animals cool off during Australian Summer Symbio Wildlife Park 2019-01-22 | As the Heatwave in Sydney continues, the Aussie Animals that call Symbio Wildlife Park home have been treated to some ridiculously fun Summertime enrichment's to help escape the heat.Millie, the wombat, woke up to a floor full of ice-cubes to which she jumped straight onto. The dingoes received their very own splash park after keepers brought in a kiddy pool, hose and bags of ice for them to play with.Harry, the koala, was as content as a koala could possibly be - kicking back in his perch under the cool water mister.
