[MKW TAS] Mushroom Gorge Lap 1 0:33.049 LuigiM / DraXula 2017-12-11 | With this TAS I want to introduce a new (TAS) technique related to mushrooms, which hasn't been used before. It causes you to get a speed-boost on mushrooms. It requires a certain setup and can be combined with trick-abuse speed-boosts.I haven't researched it enough but I can somehow explain a part of its setup.A normal mushroom speed is stuck to 73 km/h.When landing 2 times on a mushroom within the duration of a trick-boost, it can rise up to 79 km/h, which is side-trick abusable up to 86 km/h. [MKW TAS] Wuhu Island 3:47.118 LuigiM / DraXula 2017-10-13 | Hi.Track Fun.Track Hard.Track Not So Fun.Bye.Jk.This track is such a beautiful track, there are almost no drifts needed and you align quite good with just turning. I ended up drifting with a total number of 21 times (including ramp drifts) in that long time. Manual might be faster at certain sections, such as shortcuts and ramps, but overall Automatic seems to be much faster.As to few sections in the run itself, these railings at the side of the road are helping much with the realignment, but sometimes they make me bounce all over the place. For this not to happen, I sometimes avoid taking the tightest lines and rather stick to the ground, which is faster by ~0.05 per really bad bounce I'd normally get.As for that, the track is really hard and I'm not even sure, if Automatic would be the faster decision in a legit run. [MKW Prelim TAS] 3DS Wuhu Loop 1:19.860 (Dolphin 5.0) LuigiM / DraXula 2016-06-25 | So here is a new TAS on the new Dolphin. Since all the 4. versions didn't work out for MKW in my case, I had to use 3.5.xxx all the time. So I'm pretty much happy that there is a new working version out here. The line in the Minimap and the blue square at the left top seem to be my fault for using some diffrent settings, while the small little color spasm line at the top is new to me. So pretty much almost everything is working fine for now. I already got it like this but the aiming requires even more perfection to get the right angle and boost-pad hitting, that the way I used it was barely faster at all. The turns might not be that good to take and requires a bit of skill to do so, but it's definately better.Ok, this track is actually so glitchy and strange, you might not believe it. First off, in the air at the last ramp is an invisible wall, where you might be able to slip through without hitting it or just hit it at random. I might actually look at the KCL of this track. Then those ramps, especially the 2nd ramp, where is used first time RFH, have such strange physics. You are actually able to hit it bad and let your speed go down to 60s or just get it good and stay at normal speed. Sidetrick-abusing all of those ramp is so much faster.Well, enough talk. I noticed later like on beginning lap 3 what i could have done better, but I didn't want to redo lap 1 and 2 on which I've spent much time before (lazy LuigiM). I didn't even use TAS Codes for this (except for something I will be naming right now), so I'm not 100% sure that those strats and shroomspots are the fastest.This run is based on a '2-1-0' shroom strategy, so it will be a bit faster than using a '1-x-x' shroom strategy. So I used TAS Codes to find out what time a '1-x-x' strat would give and noticed that the 2nd shroom saves about 0.1 (for Lap 1, for Lap 2 it saves even more).Of course I got a pic of my time with the '1-x-x' shroom strat.http://prntscr.com/8el4hnWell, enough reading. This is just for showing some strats.I'm not exactly sure about the shroomspot. The BKT goes across the little offroad right after the last cannon. On lap 3 going right to the finish line is most likely faster, but I don't have any clue if it is generally faster.
