Presented with a willing subject in Eliza Doolittle, Henry Higgins makes a bet that he can turn a common flower girl into a lady of high society. But when Eliza finds her voice, he might not be prepared for what she has to say.

because sometimes, retelling the same stories can hurt
The Music of the Spheres is once again under threat, this time being directly attacked, and the repercussions are being felt throughout all levels of Story, exacerbated by the apparent death of the Author. The path for our chosen heroes leads through an ever-shifting forest that seems to warp those they meet along their journey and to the players themselves, forcing them to grapple with their transformative capabilities in the hopes that they can harness them before it is too late.

Presenting our 2023 Spring Shakespeare Production: Coriolanus, directed by Edward Gibbons-Brown
A tech-fabulous take on Shakespeare’s Coriolanus, relating to our current times, both politically and technologically. This under-appreciated story of class division, economic oppression, mass communication, and political vengeance has never been more timely.
The arrogant general Caius Martius, called “Coriolanus” for his victories in war, pursues his political ambitions in a Rome wrestling with its identity in the midst of a popular uprising. However, his pride, rage, and disdain for the lower social class play into the hands of his political rivals…

Worlds Elsewhere Theatre Company Presents: The Roaring Girl, Adapted and Directed by Sam Marchiony
Worlds Elsewhere is proud to present Thomas Dekker and Thomas Middleton’s Jacobean comedy of irony based on the life of the norms-defying, cross-dressing ‘Roaring Girl’ Moll Cutpurse, with director Sam Marchiony adding a modern ‘be gay, do crimes’ spin.
Roped into a fake courtship by lovers Sebastian and Mary, Moll deals with a spying servant, chaotic youths, law enforcement, and other thieves, holding her own with a wit as sharp as her blade. Elsewhere in the city, the merchant class and their spouses have their own relationship drama, fueled by the advances and schemes of the gallants, including another fake engagement plot. Accusations of cheating abound!
Join us in this merry mockery of gender norms and societal expectations in support of the International Rescue Committee’s efforts to help Ukrainian refugees!

Worlds Elsewhere Theatre Company Presents: Love's Labour's Lost, Directed by Josh Feder
The King of Navarre and her Lords have sworn an oath to commit to three years of study, and to not interact with the outside world or give into any romantic or sexual temptations. This is soon upended by the arrival of the Princess of France and her entourage; they have come to settle a negotiation of land and money, but politics soon gives way to flirtation, as old and new sparks ignite. Meanwhile, love triangles and intellectual discussions abound between visitors from Spain, local authority members, and the honest country folk. This comedy – full of romance, disguises, and over-the-top characters – is transformed in the final moments of the play, when two announcements shift the play’s tone toward its earnest, ambiguous conclusion.
Love’s Labour’s Lost explores the power of words, how we communicate, and the way logic is constantly in tension with emotion. Each character is committed to their beliefs – philosophical, political, intellectual, or romantic – and does their best to articulate and be true to those values. Our production takes a contemporary look at these themes by broadening and shifting the genders and sexualities of these characters; the romantic pairings encompass a variety of sexual orientations, with societal roles and friend groups including a greater diversity of genders. This helps us connect with these characters, and their ever-relevant questions of identity, as they attempt to analyze their feelings, which are ultimately too powerful to rationalize. William Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost examines tensions between reason and emotion, learning and knowledge, life and death, love and loss, comedy and tragedy.
