I've been playing Navy since it came out since it's WaMi's first single and it slaps so hard. That said, the Miku version has been stuck in my head so I did that one instead lolThe tuning here isn't very good since I'm incredibly rusty, but I like that I was able to put out a cover anyway. This might be the fastest I've ever put out a tuned cover (took about 3 hours in total)!Aside from Vocaloid, I am actually dying lol my mental wealth is extremely low these days, and I find myself on the edge a lot more than I like haha. You ever get that feeling where you feel like there should be a fire breathing down your neck, but instead you're just numb? You know there's some bigger fish you should be frying, but instead you're stuck thinking about all the fish that've swum by you? That's how I feel.It's not even like I'm looking back really, more that I refuse to look back but refuse to see anything far ahead of me. Everything brings anxiety, and who loves that? Why touch grass when your bed can become your best friend, a place of security, everlasting and unfeeling peace.You know, when I left Vocaloid back in late 2017/2018, a majority of the reason was actually that I was going through a real mental health moment. Many of my former friends from that time are still in the community, and they can surely attest to that. I was a mess, a depressed young teenager and I seemingly "couldn't keep it away" from the people I community I cultivated. It wasn't until they all abandoned me that I finally stopped thinking about Vocaloid for about a year. There was an inciting incident, naturally, but it was still really terrible, y'now? I was truly alone, I had literally no friends at the time.I like to think I wasn't a sh*tty person at the time, which for the most part, I don't think I was. I just really needed some help and care, and eventually I got those things.It was a few months before I could engage with anything Vocaloid related though. Every time I'd see anything Vocaloid, the mental pain would hit me all over again. Talk about mental illness, lmao.Of course, I did eventually come back. My best friend, Desmond, eventually taught me that I still did love vocal synth, and that I don't have to avoid what I love despite the pain. I love that guy. 10/10.Fuck Ame though. I know grudges from 3 years ago are kinda petty, but he was a sh*tty friend. I wasn't good at the time, but that doesn't mean you abandon your friends, you know? I've always wanted to express this, since I'm not the first one to have beef with him, but I will never engage with any piece of content he's touched. He's covered a few songs I know of, and I'll never cover anything that reminds me of him. Which means: no *Luna covers in the future, probably. Sorry.It's been a while since I've really felt connected to my Vocaloid channel, and I think a huge part of that disconnect was me not wanting to bring my reality into it. Vocaloid holds a huge part of my heart, and to this day, it's probably the most meaningful music that I engage with. I cry to Police Piccadilly's music whenever I feel like shedding some tears. Deco*27's albums are some of my recently most played on Apple Music. Not to mention Yunosuke. Yunosuke is my 3rd most played artist of all time.This is all to say: Vocaloid is part of my past, my present and hopefully my future.
