I had so much fun making every single part of this! Renri's so versatile, and it was so cool to see how well she lined up with Saku's and Meiji's voices~ This song was surprisingly easy to mix given its rather experimental instrumentation, and I think I tried to do a little too much with the video :')
Probably should have made the TV a little bigger...if anyone really wants to see the subs, though, I can go ahead and add them in the captions~ I feel like I did better with engine noise in this one, though obviously there are places to improve...this was really just a fun cover though~

A super cute menhera song! I wanted to use Chifuyu as she was meant to be used, and Teto was just a natural song partner.
I think I'm finally going to start uploading covers again. The main issue was that I never loved those online quick music video makers, and After Effects was giving me a lot of grief, so I finally decided to roll my sleeves up and learn DaVinci Resolve. I'll try to finally post all the covers I'm done with that are just awaiting a video.[SynthV Cover][MMD] Snow Halation Ayamekávézó2023-12-22 | Winter cover! This song was really not very meticulously planned out; about two weeks ago the melody just came to me and I thought I'd try to make something out of it, especially since I'd just helped some people render ANRI for the contest. It's one of the most classic Latvian folk songs, and even has a tinge of national pride attached to it as it played a big role in the Singing Revolution of the 1980s. I used Ramiņš' arrangement of it rather than the usual one since I just liked it better
I just watched the Tīrums concert earlier today, and geez...this culture, these singers, I have so much respect for them. Some of the arrangements and harmonies were just divine. I will 100% be playing that performance of Rīta un Vakara Dziesma on loop, maybe even cover it...I just hope my little spinoff of this one song is worthy of being inspired by its Song Festival renditions.
I commissioned almost all the Dreamtonics headshots from @qu_eefan, except for the most recently released vocals: Yun Quan and Lin Lai are Pigeon's art (used with permission), and I made the rappers with Picrew (unfortunately I can't find the one I used...)
Kaz helped me render a ton of these voices, and Pigeon also helped me render the new babies. The rappers are actually their lite trial version here.

I recently discovered this version of the song when its live performance was uploaded, and holy crap, does it make any language sound absolutely beautiful... Besides, I'm not using Mana Dziesma as my one Latvian cover on a song festival year *wink wink*
I don't have any experience with Ukrainian, and unfortunately the only recordings of this song are by Prāta Vētra themselves and their collaborators, who don't speak the language natively. Thus, nearly all of this is based on the Wikipedia entry for Ukrainian phonology, and maybe some Forvo recordings...I really have no idea how to manage stress patterns in this language and hope I didn't screw it up too much.
I entered this for a contest that penalized SynthV AI usage, so I made myself learn ACE Studio. It seemed to be the only other good AI engine that came with multilanguage, as using phonemes from both Mandarin and Japanese was pretty much mandatory for Ukrainian. I don't want to say I like it more than SynthV -- it's way harder to use and takes more work to sound decent -- but if you really put a lot of effort into it, it can sound amazing in subtle ways SynthV doesn't quite let you control. This voice in particular just worked so well for this song.
that is. all i really have to say this time, there is a reason AOT is everyone’s favorite anime also this is best OP that doesn't have screamo. it's kinda sad seeing what happens later on and reflecting back but it still sounds so goooooood

SynthV has changed so much in the meantime, I thought at some point I’d completely remake the cover with better vocals. But, alas, the longer I wait, the less relevant BDSP will be, and besides I need to have at least one video with Bidoof Rin

Lyrics: Through a fog of longing so dense time stood still, Through the canvas of fate torn apart Through the murder of desire and the torture of goodwill, Every cry of your struggle has danced into my heart
Is it stinging still, the worst wound humans make? Let me whisper instead to you melodies that heal Is the dream-numbing chill of your ghosts still awake? Let me take on the role of your weapon and your shield
Call the sun, call the rain to defend what you can’t repair The world around shall rise at what spilled upon its land Broken pines will remain and regrow into battleware Come here in your weakness, and we will lift your hands
Call the sun, call the rain to defend what you can’t repair The world around shall rise at what spilled upon its land Stars that shine through your pain weave a wreath that will never tear: A crown of your dignity enduring as you stand
May this grieving dusk find your agony’s shape, May the wind cleanse its tears through the nights Till the first note of dawn with no need to escape For the truth is much kinder than what might reach your eyes
Oh, the light you carry won’t snuff out so soon Through the stifling darkness it flickers deep within To the moments that share a healing glow for your wounds Shall it grow to resound with their glimmer once again?
Call the skies, call the breeze here to nudge sleeping songs awake A world around that seeks you to offer you its warmth Reaches in through the seas filled with every hostile mistake Come here and find shelter from every raging storm
Call the skies, call the breeze here to nudge sleeping songs awake A world around that seeks you to offer you its warmth Let its tune through the trees weave a wreath that will never break: A crown of your most precious joy in purest form
Oh, the light... Oh, the light you carry won’t snuff out so soon Sing with me, it's alright This spell of courage I’ll leave to you here
In the sun, in the rain, lives a trace of the spark inside With all that you need to be worthy to defend What your words can’t contain as they question the weary night Deserves a more elegant reason in the end
In the sun, in the rain, lives a trace of the spark inside With all that you need to be worthy of our care Every loss, every gain, weaves a wreath none can cast aside The hope you hold onto will crown you then and there[SynthV cover] 7 rings SOLARIAkávézó2022-02-06 | FINALLY getting to upload this, I’d finished the cover about when she came out for non-preorder but 2018-era After Effects was glitching out horribly ;w;

It's just long enough to fit 20-ish languages in it, and in fact has that many official translations, and is popular enough to have people cover the song in other languages in case I needed to hear multiple references of the same line in a language I knew nothing about. Because, holy crap, some of these languages were so annoying to figure out. (Looking at you, Danish.) I actually got so intimidated by Polish I just did the Polish part in Hungarian, and also got lazy near the end so I replaced the last two with Latvian. not at all because I want to make covers in those languages but nobody wants to watch them
I'm also not confident that the languages I do know a bit about are anywhere near accurate -- especially the guttural r sounds -- but I'm still pleasantly surprised at the range of phonemes Saki AI is capable of with the new update.

It was written as a long apostrophe to the pride that contributed to Doodle’s downfall, from the viewpoint of Doodle himself.
I wrote it around four years ago, and finally decided to finish it -- I'm quite proud of the melody, and I kinda like how the instrumental ended up turning out. I planned to have Eleanor AI sing this when she came out, but I got too lazy to retune the entire thing, and Lite sounds so much better in the second half of the song.
Lyrics: Hear the railbirds drink the sun, hear the meadows bask in mirth Hear the streams in laughter dance through palmetto-scented earth Careless of the future’s storms, having just escaped from drought We had called the season ours, vines of pride in tender sprout
So we ran through wetlands deep, beauty still unscarred by pain Learned to sing the song of spring, dream the dreams of the insane Bird of paradise who knew only hell discovered bliss In the warmth of sunbeams soft, I had found adventure's kiss
I should have seen — every time, you were mocking me When I’d poured in my best for your sake Yet still, you would fill your first vow to make What my brother and I thought a miracle
Hear the orioles take their leave, clove of seasons on their tails Hear the dried-up blossoms ring in life-passion's battered sails We had found a wind to chase even blight could not consume We'd our harvest due in time, vines of pride in fullest bloom
I should have known — that the price for a miracle Would be more than what I could repay Yet dawn finds me drawn to your words each day As the season you swallowed envelopes me
So if I'd survived the hurricane Full of strength we'd tried to find Feathers crowned with stings of piercing rain Would he still leave me behind?
Dressed in thoughts of victories mine alone I’ve now burst right through their seams Why do I still mourn them as my own — Lies pretending to be dreams?
Oh, I held you tight against my mind The one thing that I knew best Trapped in storm-embrace, from birth designed To fall short in every test
Still that sickly scent so tightly clings To my chest now locked in fear What I had to lose to grow my wings... Do I have to leave it here?
Days of scattered sky and soaring-song Of the morning’s verdant bells I’ve just always sung death’s verses wrong Can’t I sing you something else?
So if I'll admit my heart's defeat To the strength I've fallen through Feathers stained with stings of scarlet heat Would that be enough for you?[SynthV Cover] Live your life! Eleanor Forte AIkávézó2021-11-23 | I have to include the exclamation mark because this is not "Live your life" by T.I. and Rihanna.
It's actually the English version of a Hungarian song named "Élj pont úgy!", one of my absolute all-time favorite songs. Supposedly it was entered in some international contest and therefore got an official English version, and unlike most European songs that get official English translations for contests, the English lyrics were actually amazingly written. (At least, what I understood of the lyrics...Laura Cserpes has pretty good pronunciation, but I can't find the actual words anywhere.) Anyways, with the song fitting Eleanor's voice so well too, I knew I wanted to cover it with her AI bank once it came out.
Like many people, though, I've been...very surprised, if not so much disappointed. There's quite a few consonant combinations her lite bank handles way better, and her overall tone was just so different that I had to pretty much retune the entire project file. They're really just totally different voices, it's like comparing Avanna to Cyber Diva.
I have the feeling that I didn't do as much with this cover as I could have, so it still sounds kinda rough around the edges, but one day I'll probably get more used to her voice.
Background is some random thing I got off of Google with no source to be found anywhere.
I have very little sense of what the pitch should be doing over a note lasting for a whole two seconds, and this cover mostly involved tweaking vibrato parameters by tiny bits until it didn't sound so weird. I guess it was kind of interesting to play with voicing and tension over such long notes, but literally every note has to get special treatment here. And especially in the second stanza, it was sometimes really hard to decide what sort of special treatment to give a note, especially in a way that won't make the entire song sound monotonous...
Ehh, at least it was short. I felt like I put too much effort into it to give up, so here it is.

There's only one set of verse/chorus lyrics in both languages though and both are just repeated in their original versions, and the Cantonese lyrics are just so pretty, so I really wanted to cover it this way with the first half in the original Mandarin and the second half in Cantonese.
I got into this song through some amazing MMD videos. Would have made an MMD video for this, but the motion they all use only takes care of the first verse through the first chorus, with nothing to fill in the instrumental segments, and my MMD splicing skills aren't good enough to make a full MMD video look alright.
I think the art is official, correct me if it isn't. Background is CC0, (mis)translation is entirely mine.

Holy crap, I could rant for an entire hour about all the cool phonemes you can twist Maki English into. Like her /ax/ with 20% strength literally turns into a Hungarian ü sound?? And some of her /eh/ sounds enough like ö already, you just need to hope you have the right samples, turn strength down, and put gender up. The only sounds I consistently had a ton of trouble with were gy and sometimes é.
Hungarian is such a hard language to emulate using the existing vocal synths because of all the sounds that don't all exist in any of them -- Mandarin is probably the closest, but it's still missing that ö vowel and it's not very good at é, and r can become a problem. My best bets have been with glitchy English voicebanks voiced by non-native English speakers, where you just pray you can find a glitch to work in your favor instead of against you. Like Gumi English. And now Maki English lite. Because of the glitches though, the engine noise is terrible, and I kind of gave up on fixing it...
speaking of Gumi English, I wanted for the longest time to upload a Hungarian cover with her, but I just never liked how her voice sat with the songs I wanted to cover, and besides her pronunciation is still very ehh...if you're really hungary for more magyaroid though, here's one of those I actually finished but still don't really like youtu.be/-jXHFPIvEXI

Started out with just trying out stuff with Saki AI. Turns out all those extra phoneme settings are really, really freaking useful, which makes her pronunciation far better than Yukari's. I kind of wanted to just take out Yukari and make it a Saki solo cover -- which wouldn't have been hard because they switch parts the second time around and Saki's got mostly everything covered anyways -- but I worked too hard on Yukari's part to not leave in there =w=
probably gonna try to finish some WIPs in other languages I don't usually cover in, then go back to making those Eleanor Forte covers everyone likes so much
As usual the probably sketchy translation is by me, as is the drawing. Saki doesn't actually have an avatar so I uh. just drew my avatar in Pokemon Unite

Most of what makes it sound good is CeVIO’s natural tuning, although I added a few pitchbends and dynamic adjustments here and there. I guess I just liked how it turned out too much anyways...
Yukari Rei is a totally different animal from Vocaloid Yukari. Her Vocaloid voicebank is capable of super subtle expression, and it's especially easy to make her low or long notes sound beautiful; meanwhile, she doesn't do super well on high notes or when you force her to be fast or powerful. Yukari Rei, on the other hand, totally hates subtlety and long notes. She sounds nice and preppy on fast notes, though, and carries a piercing power on her high notes while she tends to flounder on her lower range.
Basically, this song was perfect for her, with minimal tuning.
I lowkey want to make a power ballad or something where both voices can shine. Maybe it might even sound okay to vocode/cross-synthesize the two voices.
I spent far longer tuning and mixing this than I should have -- while Saki AI is a delight to tune, she's a nightmare to mix. I tried to use AI tuning at first, but then realized it just didn't cut it, and it sounded way worse than even no tuning. Even so, I still really appreciate Saki AI's responsiveness to tension and voicing, which just makes her sound so much better than plain Saki.
The art is the one in the official PV of this song (and also my channel header...I just like this song too much xd). Since the only translation available was Hazuki no Yume's, I tried to translate it myself while also trying to sound as much not like hers as possible, which means it ended up being a bit awkward...

There's not necessarily a story, an allegory, or a moral; it's made from and for the expression of some impression or feeling.
I actually had written a completely different song to match Liszt's No. 2, but after experiencing something absolutely indescribable that was almost defined by the feeling that nobody else could ever feel the same thing, I felt compelled to write a song to capture the feeling in case anyone else needed it as much as I did. I no longer remember what it was like to be in that state despite it feeling completely unescapable in the moment, and don't know if my fixed-up instrumentals and tuning still express the sense of slipperiness, ephemerality, and unrealness that originally caused me to think that Liszt's Consolation No. 2 was the exact sentiment I wanted to capture. But the minor iv chords and modulations in his piece -- and that I added here -- will always convey a nice bit of dreaminess and uncertainty, of being left to a dreaded episode utterly alone.
Also completed an item on my composer bucket list: to make a piece with an extended I-iv-I-iv section B)
Lyrics: When the swarm of buzzing moths keeps the shapes of life obscure When the mist and mud collide, tearing dignities apart With my shattered hands, I long to find a drop of water pure Someone, touch me through the glass and claim my heart
What I'd given up to stand on the waves our ink had made Crashes through my windowpane, and now chains me to this chair Why is my future now the matted blood that had stalked me through the shade? Who can touch me through the glass and find me there?
But this song's made out of cardboard sand I'd reach out with my arms and try to find a truer sound And my arms are not where I would think And all I find is steel So it's true, all that I feel?
Something filled my birthday cake with a batch of used-up coal Every bite a sadness stronger than muscles can conceive Wrapped up in an off-white sash, my silence spins out of control Someone, touch me through the glass so it can leave
And despite the warning signs, all my heart in protest sings Of a world it builds from sky, that my tired hands can't reach From my broken mind, the notes spill out to tell of shapeless things Who can touch me through the glass and heal their speech?
But this song's a language no one knows And even in my palms, it melts into a laughing soup And the air is filled with sawtooth waves Making jokes of each ordeal So it's true, all that I feel?[SynthV Cover] Heather Eleanor Fortekávézó2020-12-20 | Gotta love those 26-second intros xd tbh there was no way I was mixing this to a more complex instrumental because the voice does so many subtle things I'm way too proud of, but that leaves a lot of space in the intro and after the second chorus where you just have the piano, and I honestly wasn't sure what to do with either lol
I wanted to try something a little more challenging, not quite a power ballad but something where you could meaningfully put a lot of variation into the voice. I feel like the lyric writing of this particular song leaves a bit to be desired, but it was definitely more than fun enough to cover.

Forgot whose instrumental I used...I started this cover a while ago and unfortunately didn't keep track. It's *likely* Sing2Piano's, but I'm not completely sure
Welp, looks like the updated SynthV Studio Pro doesn't have growl, so I'm putting this up rendered with the original version, since there's no reason to wait until Eleanor releases on SVS anymore...
I want to make more covers like this, where Eleanor has the chance to sound somewhat sassy...she's not amazing at sounding powerful, her voice just kind of floats on the chorus here instead of bowling through it, but it's so easy to add desperation into her expression.
Oh btw the art is by Parapa-kun[Vocaloid+SynthV cover] Sāpņu pārdevējs Genbu, Kagamine Rin&Len, Yamine Renrikávézó2020-07-21 | guess what it's time for the annual Latvian cover nobody asked for
These are just way too fun to make...and plus, the SynthV 'loids are really good at ending things in consonants, actually, even if they aren't so good at the diphthongs and can't pronounce the open e vowel to save my life. Since I bought Aiko, Anicute gave me a discount on SynthV Pro and Genbu...I guess this could count as a sneak peek of how he sounds on SynthV Pro, for those who can't get it until the 31st. Unfortunately, it looks like we won't be getting Renri on Pro, which is a shame because the engine noise is even lower. However, it's a lot more breathy; I don't know if it's Genbu or the engine, but the aspirated portion of the vocal is a bit overwhelming and I had to do some EQ tricks along with turning breathiness down to get him to sound okay.
Putnu Balle (which was recommended to me actually by Potato Overlord, whom I collabed with once) hovers around the top three bands ever for me -- their former producer, Mārtiņš Freimanis, is honestly such a good pop ballad composer. (May he RIP.) And this is one of my favorite songs of theirs, so this was just a happy cover tbh
kk now with this silly thing out of the way maybe I can go make some real covers people actually want to listen to[SynthV+UTAU Cover] Paradise of Light and Shadow (English dub) Eleanor Forte and KYEkávézó2020-06-14 | Once upon a time, I was sitting in a creative writing club for a timed writing sesh, and came up with Rin's first part to this extremely inaccurate dub.
And then later, I wrote Len's while riding on a bus for seven hours in Central China with no internet access and minimal understanding of Japanese.
That's my excuse for why it's so grossly different from the original lyrics...I overall feel like it's okay if it sounds okay, but I regret losing the nuance in Len's part. Len in the dub is just so decided and determined, while the original lyrics focus a lot more on the pain he and the people he's fighting have experienced. In any case I'm really glad to finally be able to publish this; it's been sitting on my plate for about four years and I was never sure if my English synth skill was enough to not sound like gibberish while singing anything this fast. The rhymes were really fun to do and there's a few lines I feel awfully clever about writing
KYE is actually the easiest Arpasing UTAUloid I've ever tuned...but even he struggled with this , I had to adjust the start time of a lot of notes, and even the preutterance duration sometimes, because his oto wasn't expecting lotsa 64th notes at 240 bpm Unfortunately he's impossible to mix...I think I got to a point with minimal engine noise and sibilance here, but he still sounds decidedly more noisy than Eleanor.
Lyrics, oof: In this paradise built from our tears and our songs Tucked away in the dark, in the bowels of the earth I am here to keep everything as it belongs Singing for every death and rebirth
From the people who feared of their guardian's wrath The first songstress rose, offering a lifetime's song for peace I continue those notes strewn on history's path Until death may secure my release
Song for the gods of sun, song for the gods of ice Bless the future and glorify the past Song to soothe every pain, song to pay every price Sung from birth till I'm breathing my last All that I've known is song, darkness, and paradise Torn from warmth of voices I've never met So, o guardian, please take what I bring in utmost respect
(Evermore shall ye sing, songstress.)
Twisted melodies arise as I walk in the shadow Till the world above me dies from the guardian I must appease Would singers before me, the stories we've weaved drag the world into despair? Nothing else but this fate's what I've got in my life All the light in my eyes will become a song full of prayer
In that paradise built from their songs and their tears Cries a voice drowned in requiems and torn by songs of strife I am here to steal back all of her stolen years To caress the wounds marring her life
All the maps have been burned that might show what I need I must follow the melody living in my heart I have wandered through pine and oak, cactus and reed Through the fear that has kept us apart
Barred from a loving smile, barred from a hopeful word Is this paradise the life you want? So let the world collapse, justice's rage be stirred Till the truth finds the goal of my hunt Hundreds of songs I've torn, hundreds of cries I've heard All except the warmth of my sister's voice To keep peace or to challenge our fate -- there's only one choice
(I have to keep singing/I have to keep resisting)
Though their songs are light and shield: with that beast, let them shatter I have lost too much to yield to the roars that erased your world If I can't reach you now, there's nothing to lose if I unleash the dark So that history won't repeat, I'll end this paradise With my own hands, I'm burning a mark
(In this paradise built from our tears and our songs...) (In that paradise built from their songs and their tears...) (I am here to keep everything as it belongs...)
(Till death may secure my release...) (The fear that has kept us apart...)
(Songstress, sing!)
O our guardian, hear my prayer/O great beast, I challenge thee Please accept my melody/I'll destroy thy dark lair For the world of light up there/How her heart cried to be free Where our singing must cover their fear under hope/All alone in despair Here I offer a song of light/Let my song weave shadows black For a future of peace undisturbed/Funeral shrouds for the sins of the past I'll dedicate my life/That's the life I must steal back Let my voice ride the breezes to bless our folk, my life scattered/ All before the rain washes away all you are, and keeps falling Till this song is silenced at last/Till this song is silenced at last
(So history repeateth.)
Don't you know your voice, like ours, meets the light, then turns to darkness? Don't you know the darkness sours into history's blood circulating until the world's end? The world's end is all we hear the earth's heart beat in echoes Light and darkness disappear as the infinite world revolves Though lives have to end, they grow back again and challenge history's will From this paradise of light and shadow, there's one thing that I desire still...[Vocaloid Cover] [MMD] Packaged x Yellow - Kagamine Rin and Lenkávézó2020-05-12 | NEVER FORGET YOUR ROOOOOOOOTS
I decided to remake one of my very first videos, and...I ended up doing way more than that. I've wanted to make this mashup ever since I started this channel, and it's finally here :v
Unfortunately neither of these songs are in Megamix, but they're the original reason I love kz and got into Project Diva. I mean, Packaged came out one freaking month after Miku released in 2007...

I used KaraokeJoeful’s arrangement of the Les Mis finale, timonoj’s translation, and the art is the official art for everyone except Miku.

There's not necessarily a story, an allegory, or a moral; it's made from and for the expression of some impression or feeling.
This particular song was very loosely inspired by Franz Liszt's Consolation No. 1 from his S. 172: the definition of simple but effective, a piece whose half cadences and pauses keep leading you back to the despair of irreplaceability.
I want to eventually make songs reflecting all six of Liszt's Consolations, but oof, it's a lot of work xd No. 1: here No. 2: youtu.be/wGyHcHHRolE
Credits for the MMD model in video~ I hope I didn't miss anything. (Still not sure where Eleanor got those 15 million mini post-it notes, but that's a question for another day.)
Some were our friends and some were not All were bright flames we just forgot Reborn as symbols, blank and pure To snow while summer's still mature
To snow the laughter and the fear So as each flake may disappear It leaves a world bathed in white moon-ash
Can't these songs and lights and kindness revive them? Can't the spark, the pride, the grit still inside them? Make it disappear Make it disappear Blissful disregard That turned this place to emptiness As if you'd just bring them back to life
Sell the dreams, the days, the excitement I wanted For a shield to face this blizzard undaunted That it's not enough All our strength combined All this useless stuff This hope and warmth just hold you back As if you'd just bring them back to life
So let these lyrics drown in white If that means I won't have to fight Unspoken horrors that they fell to
Is this it? — the tales of blood that was wasted Muffled cries and wails, just copied and pasted It's not fate or choice Rhyme or rationale Every silenced voice Is someone who we can't repay As if you'd just bring them back to life[SynthV Cover] Hitoribocchi no UFO - Yamine Renrikávézó2019-08-18 | Art from pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=65855913
Once you get rid of the engine noise of UTAU, Renri honestly sounds amazingly realistic. I really love how detached and yet passionate you're able to make her voice, her vowel releases...
With how well she's doing with this song and with Waruihito de Yokatta, I kinda wonder what PinocchioP's stuff would have been like if Renri rather than Miku was his main singer :v
Originally tried to make this with SynthV Renri, but she just didn't have enough raw power. This...is just a very weird song to think about in terms of that; the mix makes it so that really only the highest frequencies stand out, and you're pretty much forced to use a voice that projects a lot. Nyui's depth and the force of her consonants worked really well for this song.
I kind of regret trying to make the verses sound softer...it fits with the lyrics, but you can barely hear it over the instrumental xd[Vocaloid Cover] Dzejnieka Dziesma - Nekomura Irohakávézó2019-07-20 | This is from a musical I love way too much. The music is spectacular, the lyrics are really poetic, and the story really gives you something to think about.
so I made another Latvian cover guys :v
aaaand of course I misspell Māra Zālīte’s name
I don't think I did super well on the instrumental, but it was worth the learning experience having to mix four different guitars and two sets of drums. The first chorus and verse are meant to sound like the first time this song appears in the musical, and the second half is supposed to mimic more the reprise of this song in the finale. (For some reason, every other arrangement/performance of this song alone that I've found are more like the finale than the original, with the 6/8 snare ostinato.)
The background image is by Pixiv Id 1211300, and it's actually Tamaki Iroha, not Nekomura Iroha...I couldn't find a good Nekomura Iroha image to use with this song unfortunately xd at least the two Irohas look somewhat similar[UTAU Cover] Please Dont Have Laid Down Your Life - Shirakane Hiyorikávézó2019-04-05 | I really wasn't satisfied with the outcome, so I redid the mixing and reuploaded~ I couldn't get all the engine noise out, and even with like six lowpass filters the high frequencies are still rather annoying...she sounds much better, though, the parts are more balanced, and I also added breaths :3
Original description: ahhh it's another quick cover, this time with my favorite UTAUloid
She has such a sugary voice, but it's the most annoying thing to mix, I could barely get the worst of the engine noise out of this ^^" She's also really easy to overtune, so you either had to go for an extravagant pitch transition on the most important notes or just not tune at all
Music and lyrics by leftymonsterP and Ito Kashitaro; not sure about artist but someone uploaded it at zerochan.net/879872; used AmeSub's subbed video[SynthV cover] Regulus medley/Breathtaking Yamine Renrikávézó2019-03-11 | I saw Regulus' new song and just remembered how much I loved their stuff omg So many of their songs use the same chords (this is proof of that lol), but each one of their melodies is still super pretty and unique, and I love the imagery-laden, poetic lyrics. I'm using the original audio for Breathtaking (because there's no off vocal yet ;w;) but all of the rest was done with Renri in the commercial version of SynthV.
My favorite song (smolder) unfortunately couldn't make it into here because you had to speed it up way too much to get it to fit the chords, but still wanted to give a shout out to one of the best Yukari usages out there xd
I'd meant to use CBF for the video, but was a little too ambitious trying to recreate the master map; this song is one of the only master maps I've actually been able to enjoy rather than panicking through :v I eventually got discouraged finding out that you couldn't copy and paste, but recently picked it up again, recreating the expert map instead to make things faster. The chorus and prechorus of the master are still used in the instrumentals.
I wish I could credit all of the artists, but it's been a few years and all I remember is that I probably got them off of Zerochan xd The translation is from Love Live Wikia, although they didn't attribute it there to a particular person. I'm a little miffed at the fact that CBF metadata doesn't support unicode, so I couldn't put the composers' names in kanji or write kávézó with the correct accents.[Vocaloid Cover] sapphire - Yuzuki Yukarikávézó2018-11-03 | wheeeeee made this for fun in five hourssss
Lyrics and music: narry Translation: Hazuki no Yume Art: pixiv.net/member.php?id=5428572 Tuning and mixing: yours truly[Vocaloid Cover] Last Stardust - Kagamine Rinkávézó2018-10-25 | In keeping with a longstanding tradition, I forgot to credit the translator in the video again; it's Lyrical Nonsense :3
The melodic composition of this song was just absolutely genius, and I wanted to see how a song originally sung by someone with a deep, rich voice would sound with a much brighter powerful voice~ Rin was probably not the best choice for this song (at least without some pitch shifting), since the verses were too low for her range and the choruses weren't high enough to get into her belting range, but I was surprised at how easily she tuned.
There wasn’t any official off vocal, so I used Viewfit’s arrangement: youtu.be/cNS18r3NLY0[SynthV cover] The Boy Who Became the Sea (English dub) - Eleanor Fortekávézó2018-09-12 | Someone I know said they liked this song, and I had an English dub written from last year, and a super fun new synth to try out, so I couldn't not cover this~ since I got to know them better I think I've somehow become a person who can look at every line in this song and know I wouldn't say anything like it
I couldn't get ahold of endou to ask them for the off vocal, unfortunately, so I ended up making an instrumental. Fortunately this was a simple enough composition that it didn't take that long .w.
I couldn't figure out how to mix Ellie's /s/ at all, which is why she sounds so hissy and noisy at times. I guess, because of that and some other slight pronunciation issues (ew that /ow/ in the chorus), it'll still be just as hard to make her sound realistic as it is with Vocaloid -- not that you can't make the song sound good, but it's really hard to tune her to a place where you can't help but mistake her for a human singing. Still though, I really like how this turned out, although I wouldn't say it sounds quite as realistic as my last cover with her
I also didn't spend nearly as much time as I wanted to iterating on the art/video, so it looks kinda low-budget xdEvanescent Melancholy - Cyber Diva original songkávézó2018-08-22 | Hello everyone, I'm back with a collab original that I made with a Vocaloid Amino user who goes by Potato Overlord! She wrote the lyrics and melody and had a friend do the art, and I did the rest~
Lyrics: I have my hair all messy like a grown-up Pillows soft, I don't want to wake up And I don't think that I'll ever own up Own up to my mistakes
I wish I could change, could change But I can't, but I can't, oh
My hair is looking shitty, there is no doubt A strand of it just sticks up like a bean sprout I want to open my window and just shout Shout out my frustrations
I wish I could change, could change But I can't, but I can't, oh
From a dawn clouded with pink, the sun starts to rise And to tell the truth, it's all a sore sight in my eyes Oh, but even so I know that it'll stay with me In this evanescent, evanescent melancholy
I wish I could change, could change But I can't, but I can't, oh[SynthV cover] GALAXY HidE and SeeK - Eleanor Fortekávézó2018-08-20 | This voice just fit this song so well? I've been obsessed with this song recently, and Ellie's voice is just super nice
I think this is the fastest I've ever attempted to make a full cover wrote the lyrics in an hour heh don't judge
The second chorus is nowhere near as good as the first, it's probably because I was more sober when tuning that
*takes like one phonology class *misuses the crap out of the voicing parameter because phonology rulessssssss ya gotta devoice that /l/ after an unvoiced stop and the second half of that voiced fricative at the end of the phrase y'know wym the voice provider should already do that if they're a native speaker
. Seriously, though, Synthesizer V’s syllable onset and coda strength features are super useful, and so is scalable voicing over time for those syllables you just want to force to be unstressed. (And ofc when that /z/ at the end just sounds weird.) I think I tuned this 80% using the note settings and phonemes...SynthV’s pretty good at automating the pitch transitions, and adjusting timing and scaling on those are just about enough to sound kinda natural for most purposes. I did small tweaks on voicing, tension, and gender to improve the pronunciation, but I really just liked how well Eleanor’s natural voice went with a song like this so I didn’t try anything too crazy.
It’s like literally impossible to notebend well though despite the demo videos xd[Vocamash] Puzzle x Please, Worldkávézó2018-03-31 | oof haven't uploaded anything in so long - school's a killer ;w;
Someone's probably already mashed up these two, they fit each other far too perfectly, but this has been on my plate for a while so I decided to finally put this up xd.
The translation for Onegai, Sekai is by AmeSubs; I tried to translate Puzzle myself, since I didn't find a very good translation anywhere online, with the help of my friend who's an absolute Japanese genius~[UTAU Cover] Everlasting Snow - Shirakane Hiyorikávézó2017-10-24 | Used dreamsandlyrics' translation~ I want to credit the person who drew the Hiyori that I kind of stole for this, but the Zerochan page just says "pixiv" and I can't seem to find the source anywhere...
Hiyori's voice is so...fragile aaaa The sloppy mixing notwithstanding I think I'm in love with her voice :')
I had to rush this cover a bit for someone's birthday, so this is definitely my roughest upload in a while - I'd made a few mistakes in terms of the notes and lyrics, and Hiyori's so easy to overtune, and...honestly, just sort of forget the bridge even exists XD
But @said person happy freaking birthday omg~[Vocaloid Cover] Soleil - LUMikávézó2017-06-06 | Yayy Vocaloid trial banks~ Subtitles by AmeSubs. The art used is one of LUMi's official drawings.
I guess my skills might have rusted a bit over the unplanned six-month hiatus, so perhaps you can attribute the rougher parts to that ^^" Still I doubt I'll be buying LUMi - her voice type just doesn't go too well with a lot of songs, her back vowels are just weird, and she's really hard to mix well. Otherwise, though, this cover was actually relatively fun to tune; LUMi's voice has just the right amount of power behind it to make this cover sound sweet, but not weak.Somno Opprime - Cyber Diva (Vocaloid Original)kávézó2017-01-06 | "I'll find you there one day..."
The title, "somno opprime", originates from Miller's poetic translation of "Silent Night" into Latin. It maps from the line "sleep in heavenly peace", and can be translated as "o sleep, rest upon him."
This is basically me trying to complete an original song - from inception to upload - within two weeks. To be honest, it ended up much more unpolished than I would have liked, but it's not that bad...right...? I *might* remake this eventually, but as for now I really just want to get it over with, so for now, apologies for making you all bear with the bad production level ^^"
Oh, right, the art is mine - took a picture of a watercolor of Cyva and attempted to spruce it up with GIMP.
Lyrics: How do I let go of you In the snow on such a night? Wings and wind just don't protect you from Winter's unforgiving bite
Shivering feathers, hollow eyes I'm a fool to think I'd saved That small life that I'd soon have to throw To the monsters it had braved
In the brightest skies, you'd woven through A sparkling tune of dreams Please don't tell me I've drowned that song inside the snow However light it seems
But for now, you're still free Free to taste of life some more Through the lights, through the trees Like you've never flown before May those memories of warmth And those candleflames' soft rays Lift your breath, lift you home Gently through these precious days
It's my fault, when I know I can't take you on my way Whitest clouds, whitest snow I'll find you there one day So just fly, fight the wind Before life has passed you by Keep that song until the end I'd lose so much to see it die
Lift your breath, lift you home Gently through these precious days[UTAU Cover] Spinning Sky Rabbit - Yamine Renrikávézó2016-12-09 | This would be my first complete UTAU cover of a song! Renri is extremely easy to use, though fixing her engine noise with EQ was really annoying. I also suppose I'm not really that used to tuning someone with this voice type, so the expressions are a little off.
But I'd actually say this is better than a lot of my Vocaloid covers. In comparison to Vocaloid, UTAU actually makes some things a lot easier, but while making other things a lot more tedious...overall, though, I still look forward to doing other things with it~Vocaloid Amino Producers Medleykávézó2016-11-13 | Hi everyone! This is a medley made only with original songs from Vocaloid producers on Vocaloid Amino. What is Vocaloid Amino, you ask? We're a blossoming community of Vocaloid fans, artists, bloggers, and, yes, producers! You can find the Vocaloid Amino app on both iOS and Android.
Special thanks to: YiliP, for putting so much effort into the video! Mizudori Dreamer, for rendering the instrumentals of your own parts and for the awesome mixing! AegisSan, MelobuniiP, KusaFox, and Pianobench for letting me use your songs and for giving me pointers on making the instrumental not sound *that* bad!
You can download an instrumental here: drive.google.com/open?id=0B_iKcSAuZYphVXN5VjYyNzVvbmM[Vocaloid Cover] Linaria - Yuzuki Yukarikávézó2016-10-26 | This is sort of my testing of the new update, which lets you XSY between different Vocaloids as long as both Vocaloids are either AHS Vocaloids or Internet Co. Vocaloids. In the verses, I use Yukari Jun with Iroha Soft, and in the choruses, I use Yukari Jun with Iroha Natural (Iroha hates Lin for some reason.)
This...is a cover of a song I absolutely adore, but could not and probably will never really cover it that well. Especially, I guess, since I'm using Yukari and since I'm doing an XSY that she was never really made for. Iroha does smooth out Yukari's uneven timbre/power sometimes, but she also introduces a ton of glitches.
I'm slightly disappointed with myself for making something this mediocre ;_;
