I flew into Toulouse, France and then took a bus to get here.So far I really like the capital Andorra La Vella. It’s quiet, peaceful, and very beautiful. I love being surrounded by mountains on all sides 🏔️Overall I’d say it’s a great place to visit if you want to relax and take life slowly.Or if you love to ski in winter! Ranking Countries in Central America #shorts Jake Braymiller 2026-03-23 | Ranking the 7 countries in Central America after visiting them all! So here are my rankings and reasonings: 7 - Panama 🇵🇦 I enjoyed this country but honestly just found it to be a bit boring. There is more money, infrastructure, and high end things in Panama than other countries in this region, which is great. I just didn’t find it that interesting personally.6 - Belize 🇧🇿 I thought Belize was cool and there are amazing beaches and nature. Also it’s the only country in Central America where English is the first language so it was easier to communicate. But I had a very bad experience in Belize City and other countries on this list just interest me more.5 - El Salvador 🇸🇻 In recent years El Salvador has gone from being one of the most dangerous countries in the world to one of the safest. I really like some of the surf towns on the coast. But overall it’s a small country and there isn’t as much to do as others.4 - Honduras 🇭🇳 I have a bias here because one of my best friends is Honduran so he has taken me to some hidden local spots. And this country is higher on the list because of Roatán, a beautiful island with pristine water and beaches. But the cities are kind of unsafe and hard to navigate, so that’s why it isn’t higher. 3 - Nicaragua 🇳🇮This country has one of my favorite towns in Central America called León and I got to volcano board nearby so that gives it a high rating in my book. But the capital Managua is not a place that I enjoyed.2 - Costa Rica 🇨🇷 What a beautiful country with so much to offer. They have a great tourist infrastructure and amazing nature everywhere. I highly recommend visiting! Just keep in mind it’s the most expensive country in Central America.1 - Guatemala 🇬🇹 This country is home to what I think are 3 of the best best places in all of Central America: Tikal, Antigua, and Lake Atitlán. So just these spots alone give Guatemala my number 1 ranking. Let me know what you think 👇

Nara - I liked Nara, but it just felt too touristy and like all the visitors were only there to take photos with deer. I’m not sure if it was the sheer amount of tourists or the TYPE of tourist (rude, not respecting the culture) that bothered me. But I get that I might also be contributing to the over tourism problem.4. Kobe - A very cool and laid back city on the water. I really enjoyed Kobe and the food was great. It just doesn’t have the wow factor the top 3 do.3. Fukuoka - I loved Fukuoka. It’s a bigger city and surprisingly had very few tourists (at least from what I could tell). The Fukuoka tower, Nanzoin temple, Ohori Park, beaches, shrines, and everything else are great. And the local Hakata ramen is fantastic too!2. Tokyo - One of the biggest, most impressive cities in the world. There is SO much to see and do, but it’s still so organized. And Japan is so good that both Osaka and Tokyo have launched up to the top of my favorite cities in the world list. The only reason I have Osaka higher is because Tokyo can feel a bit more corporate, proper, and overwhelming at times. I liked the rugged but still more manageable feel of Osaka a little more.1. Osaka - To me Osaka felt like the gritty, beating heart of Japan. It was more real and down to earth. The people were so friendly, the food delicious, and the vibes just so good. Plus it’s in an incredible location that’s close to places like Kobe, Nara, Kyoto, and others so short trips are easy!
