"The first time I played Kobe," Wall answered. "I looked up like, 'Damn, I'm guarding the Mamba.' I blocked his shot and tried to run to half court to get the ball. He got the ball back and made a three, and like, 'The play go on, young fella.' I was like, 'Damn.'"
Bryant had many positive qualities that other players have tried to adopt, one of them being his determination. Even though he was a superstar, the Los Angeles Lakers icon never shied away from fighting or even diving for 50/50 balls. So, Wall's story doesn't come as surprising at all. And maybe the former Washington Wizards star learned from that experience because he has also exhibited tenacity similar to that of the late legend.
