How to Dye an Upholstered Chair with Rit Dye Amber Novak 2021-09-18 | I truly cannot believe this Rit Dye before and after of my fabric chair. In this YouTube Rite Dye tutorial, I'll show you how I took this piece of upholstered furniture from a dingy, stained off-white color to a gorgeous sky blue. I used Rit All Purpose Liquid Dye in Evening Blue and Pearl Grey along with two bottles of the Rit ColorStay Dye Fixative. It wasn't easy figuring out how to dye furniture fabric successfully, but a mindful process and a bit of patience seemed to go a long way for this upcycling project. I actually found this wingback chair on the side of the road out for trash and now it's one of my favorite things about our living room! So, don't be afraid to give a Rit dye fabric project a try. My first iced coffee at home attempt! #coffeeathome Amber Novak 2026-04-29 | Rating this one a 5/10:- 2 tsp of instant espresso- generous drizzle of caramel sauce- 12 oz water- ice- caramel syrupNot impressive, but good enough to leave me wanting to keep trying. My first mistake was only using 2 tsp of instant coffee. I personally love how coffee tastes, so I want a drink that actually tastes like coffee. I just had no idea how the caffeine in this would hit me, so I didn’t want to overdo it.Second, I absolutely did not need that much caramel syrup. It was very syrupy tasting. Third, I was too excited and didn’t let my ice cubes solidify enough, and I needed more ice. The trays definitely needed to be in the freezer overnight.I’m trying to perfect a recipe at home that is bold, not bitter, with notes of caramel that tastes good without relying on cream and sugar (because I don’t usually add those when I buy coffee out anyway).Overall, this wasn’t bad and it wasn’t bitter, but it tasted too much like syrup and it was kind of watered down.
