Cringiest Moments in Super Smash Bros #2GRsmash2020-08-21 | Another cringe compilation of the most uncomfortable and awkward moments to have ever happened at Smash events.
Breaking down the insane backstory behind one of the most infamous and legendary games in Smash, the longest game in Super Smash Bros. history, SuPeRbOoMfAn vs Gerson
Massive thanks to Preston Kwan (The 64 Story), Asumsaus, Darkhorse, Herbert Von Karajan, Motobug, Ludvix, DavidVKimball, the Peruvian 64 scene, and of course, SuPeRbOoMfAn and Gerson for helping make this video possible, much love
Thanks for watching!Smashs Strangest RivalryGRsmash2023-06-25 | In 2016, a massively unexpected and heated rivalry sparked between two groups within the same scene, over possibly the most bizarre reason in Smash history: Which breakfast restaurant was superior, IHOP, or Denny's.
Despite the ridiculous concept, the rivalry ended up being legendary within the scene, consuming it until it eventually reached a boiling point, with it all culminating in an epic final crew battle that nobody would have expected went on to become one of the greatest that Smash has ever seen. This is a video documenting everything about the origins of how this rivalry came about, and how the crew battle eventually went down. Thanks for watching!
Absolutely massive thanks to Heyseuss, FingerStripes, CutMet, AsumSaus, Ludvix, Motobug, the AZPM scene, and everyone else who helped me with this video and helped me get back into making vids again! I appreciate it so much
The full crew battle (Highly recommend watching): youtu.be/QgU9WjUmafAMost Brutal Dominations in Super Smash Bros #2GRsmash2020-10-12 | A compilation of the most brutal decimations and fastest games that have ever happened in Smash, featuring 4 stocks in under 45 seconds, borderline JV5 stocks, 4 back-to-back 0-death combos in a row, and just players getting all around thrashed. Thanks for watching!
Luck so bad, that it makes you think the game was rigged from the start. But sometimes the Smash gods just want you to lose.
By the way, I tried to feature only clips where it was very clearly EXTREMELY bad luck for one player, almost as if the game wanted them to lose. I opted to include clips like these as opposed to clips that showcased really good luck for one player and bad luck for the other (Such as a Game & Watch 9s, lucky Peach turnip pulls, S2J vs Abate etc) those clips are probably more suited for "Luckiest Moments in Smash History" since it wasn't strictly bad luck, it was extremely fortunate for one player, and unfortunate for the other.
I wanted this compilation to just be full of players having HORRIFIC luck. Thanks for watching!
This is a compilation of the greatest combo performed with every single character in Super Smash Bros Melee history! This video features the absolute best of the best when it comes to sick and entertaining Melee combos, with the entire cast! Thanks for watching!
PS: For some of the lower tier characters that have almost no players playing them at the top level, there were no absolute #1 combos, so for certain characters like YL/G&W/Kirby, it became a huge toss up between the best combos and the combo could have been one of a few, so if you know of a somewhat-famous combo for any of those characters that you preferred, it was probably heavily considered by me, but barely missed out. Sorry :(
Despite some of these playstyles being very effective, they're considered by many to be strongly against the spirit of the game, and extremely boring to play against. Here I've compiled moments where these strategies are used to great effect, usually causing salt from the person unlucky enough to be playing against it.
PS: I'm planning on potentially making another one of these in the future, so if there was a clip you expected to see in here (like Hungrybox vs Chudat, or Hungrybox vs Mango) don't worry, it'll most likely be in the next one! Thanks for watching!
From unthinkable movement, to absolutely insane combos, to taunt disrespect, this series will be featuring the best of the best when it comes to stylish moments in Smash!
PS: I can't believe I took this long to start this series, I honestly should've started it forever ago lol, I have SO many clips of insane movement, absolutely filthy stylish combos, and so many other random stylish moments that I've never had the chance to use because they would only really fit into a general style video like this. Super glad I can finally showcase all of these insane clips and give them the credit they deserve, I definitely plan on making a part 2 and hopefully more episodes in the future! Thanks for watching!
This is a Smash compilation dedicated to those golden moments where a crazy option that should NEVER work, actually does! Maybe it was due to how unexpected it was, or maybe it was just next level mindgames (or maybe their opponent just REALLY messed up), either way, the important thing is that it worked, and now we have a great moment because of it! Thanks for watching!
This is a new series I'm working on, I wanted to make a series that showcased the awesome moments where one player is just completely playing out of their mind and obliterating their opponent extremely quickly with 0-death after 0-death, leading to super fast games that can even be less than 45 seconds. (One of the games in this video was actually 28 seconds long!) Those are some of my favorite moments to see in Smash, so hopefully you guys enjoy them too! Thanks for watching!
Combo contests are the Smash version of the NBA slam dunk contest, with players performing combos, and judges giving ratings based on how good the combo was. They're most popular in Smash 64 due to the high hitstun allowing for absolutely insane combos that would be impossible in other Smash games, and many 64 players (Such as Prince and many others) have spent tons of time coming up with super creative and awesome combos over the years, all of these factors come together to make every 64 combo contest an absolute treat to watch!
Huge shoutouts to the 64 community for coming up with such a brilliant way to bring even more hype to their very underrated game: twitter.com/64_league twitch.tv/ssb64
Thanks for watching! Massive love to the 64 communityBest Pauses in Super Smash BrosGRsmash2020-02-09 | A compilation of the absolute sickest, funniest, and most disrespectful pauses in Super Smash Bros!
Pausing the game during the killing blow or after a sick combo and pausing the screen on a taunt is the perfect way to apply maximum disrespect to your opponent! For even more BM, take a snapshot while the game is paused! But be careful, pausing the game in tournament play carries a penalty of stock loss if your opponent asks for you to give up a stock, so make sure you have an extra stock/your opponent is fine with you pausing! Thanks for watching!
PS: A couple of the clips in this video are actually the losing player pausing to rub it in their own faces how badly they got rekt, but I decided to still include them because they were great regardless!
There's a huge variety of clips in this one, from hilarious trolling, to commentators goofing, to Kirby swallowcides, to salt, to cringe, to much, much more! By the way, this video is only number one in a new series I'm starting of the funniest moments in Smash, and there are so many fantastic funny moments that I have saved in my documents over the years, so if there is a really obvious great one that wasn't included in this video, don't worry! I'm probably planning to include it in a future video. (You can always feel free to send it to me though!) Thanks for watching!
This is one of my most requested videos of all time, and I put it off for a while in order to make other salt related videos, but I figured it was about time and was definitely due by now, so here you go! Thanks for watching!
PS: To be totally clear about the Project M clips in this video, in PM Luigi misfire has properties that make you more likely to get it after multiple uses of side-b without a misfire, and it can be stored (as in saved for later once it procs). So keep in mind the Project M Luigi clips in this video may be less lucky than they seem, but it still (At least for the clips in this video) took luck to get the stored misfire in the first place, and they're all still fantastic clips regardless!
With some of the most unreal snipes imaginable, this compilation showcases some of the greatest instances of players hitting insanely difficult and creative snipes with projectiles to take out their opponent! Thanks for watching!
This compilation showcases the greatest moments of people reading their opponents like a book, predicting their next move and punishing them in an extremely hype/stylish way. Mindgames! Thanks for watching!
PS: This is a new series I'm starting, this series (and others) will be replacing the Worst Mistakes series. Similar to closest calls, the Worst Mistakes series felt too restrictive with the theme/expectation of which clips I could and couldn't use, causing me to have a ton of great clips saved up that I was unable to use because they didn't quite fit the Worst Mistakes series. So I've decided to discontinue it and instead go with more general compilations (like this one, and my last video) that are less restrictive and will allow me more freedom to use many of the great clips I have saved up over the years that I was never able to use in the worst mistakes series. RIP Worst Mistakes, 2014-2019
This is a compilation showcasing the worst instances of people celebrating too early and paying for it, costing them stocks, games, and even sets. Thanks for watching!
Timeouts, sudden deaths, DBZ moments, insane matches where both players miraculously manage to survive at 140%+ for minutes, this new series will feature the best of the best when it comes to absolutely insane endings in Smash!
This series will be replacing the "Closest Calls" series. The Closest Calls series theme/expectation caused it to be much more restrictive with which clips I could use, so I've decided to discontinue it and go with a more general theme that will allow me to make use of the countless amazing clips that weren't able to be used in the Closest Calls series! RIP Closest Calls: 2015-2019 Thanks for watching!
From commentators having meltdowns on stream, to unwanted hugs, to commentators making incredibly offensive or inappropriate comments, and even to just plain old salt, this video has all the best of the best in terms of the cringiest most awkward moments in Smash! Thanks for watching!
Whether it's Mario slam dunking his opponent, Donkey Kong stomping his opponent, Marth spiking his opponent, or any of the numerous other ways to dunk your opponent in Smash, there's no denying that one of the most satisfying things in Smash is pulling off an amazing combo into spike, so here is a compilation of the all-time greatest dunks in Smash history! Come on and slam, and welcome to the jam! Thanks for watching!
Projectiles can be very valuable to the player using the projectile, but they can also be extremely detrimental, depending on if their opponent plays their cards right. A LOT of mindgames can go along with using a powerful projectile, and for good reason, there are many ways to reflect projectiles in Smash, with many of them amplifying the damage of the projectile. This can cause ping-pong wars where a projectile is reflected back and forth over and over in quick succession to create INSANELY powerful projectiles capable of killing at extremely low percentages, which can lead to very entertaining and unexpected kills, as you'll see in this video! Thanks for watching!
Disrespect in Smash is the act of doing something outrageously unnecessary or sub-optimal just to style on your opponent. Many players in Smash have mastered this art (Such as Bizzarro Flame), and use it frequently in order to crush the spirit of the opposition and create fantastic highlights, as you'll see in this video! Thanks for watching!
PS: The Salty Moments in Smash series is the first series I ever started on my channel, it's going to be five years old soon, and it's finally reached episode 10! Massive thanks to everyone that has ever viewed a Salty Moments video, as well as anyone that has ever submitted a clip for the series! I appreciate you more than you know.
Jigglypuff's rest is one of the strongest, yet riskiest moves in Smash. The massive amount of risk combined with how difficult it is to hit makes rest one of the most exciting moves in the game, and also makes it perfect for overkill and disrespect. As you can imagine, this can make for some extremely exciting and entertaining highlights, as you'll see in this video! Thanks for watching!
If you're interested in learning more about Jigglypuff's rest, check out the Smashwiki page: ssbwiki.com/rest
Whether it's Game & Watch hitting an unexpected 9 hammer (or two!), Luigi misfiring 5 times in a row, Peach pulling an insanely unlikely number of stitch faces/bob-ombs back to back, item/stage shenanigans, or any of the other countless ways RNG can affect Smash games, there's no denying that RNG and luck in Smash can make for some absolutely hilarious and amazing highlights. So here is a video showcasing the luckiest moments in Smash! Thanks for watching!
PS: For the Falcon Punch clip where he lands on Randall, I know it looks like he could have potentially done it on purpose, but the player that landed it (Geoff) has stated in the past that it was a misinput and he just got super lucky that Randall was there at exactly the perfect time. Such a great clip!
PS: For this video I wanted to stick to clips that involved sick combos that occurred extremely close to each other in EVERY stock taken, I did this to prevent the video from being all 4 stocks/clips where every/most stocks taken are gimps/SDs. Hence why there's no Axe vs Silentwolf, M2K vs Shiz, Mango vs Leffen, PPMD vs Hax, etc. (I made sure not to include too many clips of people getting 2/3/4 rests in a row as well)
Also, for anyone wondering what in the world happened in the #4 clip: Snake was holding a live grenade, and the Meta Knight player quickly grabbed Snake and used his up-throw, which causes both characters to fly extremely close to the top blast zone. This was timed perfectly, causing the grenade to explode while both of them were near the top blastzone, killing Snake. Meta Knight survived due to being in a higher port than Snake, which caused him to receive Faux Super Armor, protecting him from the knockback. More info here: ssbwiki.com/C4#The_Omnigay
PS: I tried to include only one highlight of each specific glitch, just to prevent this video from being mostly freeze glitches/people falling through Pokemon Stadium.
Why bother with fancy movement tech when you can just slowly walk right up to your opponent and use a smash attack? It's a flawless plan. Thanks for watching!
If you're interested in learning more about the ratios of Peach's turnips, here is a fantastic chart showing the rates in Brawl/Melee: ssbwiki.com/images/0/04/PeachVegetableCompleteOddsTableSSBB.jpg (These rates are slightly different in Ultimate and Smash 4, the Mr Saturn is now 1/166, the Bob-omb is now 1/250, and the beam sword was removed)
A movement video showcasing the greatest instances of insane movement in SSBM, similar to a combo video, but for movement! Thanks for watching!
I first had the idea for this video back in late 2015 (I actually finished a 2 minute video somewhat similar to this one back in 2016, but I wasn't happy with it, so I scrapped it) and I've been working on it VERY off and on since then, and now I've finally finished a version I'm happy with. Hopefully you guys enjoy it! :)
PS: Just so there aren't any misunderstandings, the title is NOT firing shots at Nintendo. I love Nintendo, and all of the Smash games
Also note: This video only includes clips from actual tournament or friendly matches between two humans, I didn't want to include clips from movement showcases in training mode to keep it similar to too much for zblock (Every clip except the ones in the credits are from actual matches)
Explanation of wall jumps for players that are interested in what they are: In Smash, certain agile characters can perform a wall jump to jump off of walls, this is a fantastic option for tricky recoveries, edgeguards, or even just disrespect and style.
However, don't worry if you play one of the characters that can't usually wall jump! If your character is hit into a wall and you tech it, you are able to perform a wall jump directly afterwards with every character, this adds another layer of complexity to recoveries and can make for some really creative and exciting recoveries/reverse edgeguards. More info here: ssbwiki.com/wall_jump
If you're interested in the backstory of some of these clips, here is a description/explanation of every clip (Spoilers!):
10: Plup makes a massive upset on Leffen with Samus at EVO 2015
9: S2J goes for the suicide stomp on Westballz at EVO 2016, and then later beats him 2-0 with a double knee read, making S2J the highest placing Falcon in EVO's history (5th)
8: ChuDat makes a 2-stock sopo comeback on HugS on his last stock of the last game to secure his place in top 8 at EVO 2015
7: Swedish Delight makes a legendary upset on Armada at EVO 2018, becoming the first player since Silentspectre in 2010 outside of the top 6 to beat Armada in a set
6: Armada takes the set 3-2 over Hungrybox to secure his first ever EVO win at EVO 2015
5: Leffen makes an incredibly dominant run at EVO 2018, beating Hungrybox 2-1, and then beating Plup and Armada without dropping a game to win his first EVO in spectacular fashion
4: In one of the most legendary moments in Melee history, Axe 4-stocks Silent Wolf with Pikachu in their final game at EVO 2014, taking all of his stocks in less than a minute
3: Wobbles makes the greatest dark horse run in Melee's history at EVO 2013, beating Mango, PPMD, and Hungrybox until finally falling to Mango in grand finals to get 2nd place
2: Hungrybox makes the clutchest losers run of all time at EVO 2016, clutching out game after game, taking out Mango, Plup, and finally Armada in a grueling 10-game set to win his first EVO
1: Mango makes one of the most legendary losers runs of all time at EVO 2013, after losing early to Wobbles, he tears through the losers bracket, taking out PPMD, Armada, and Hungrybox all without losing a single game, until finally beating Wobbles in Grand Finals 6-1 to win the first EVO Melee event since 2007
Special thanks to: EVO: twitch.tv/evo Kitsune91: youtube.com/channel/UC_4kpUsr51nseRg15M-bfCQtwitch.tv/Kitsune_91Top 10 Most Unexpected Character Picks by Top Players #2 - Super Smash BrosGRsmash2019-02-24 | Ness, Bowser, Pichu, and Mewtwo being picked by top players deep in high stakes Smash tournaments? Mario vs Young Link in a serious match between two top 10 players? Hungrybox playing Fox and Falco vs Armada? Yes, these are all things that actually happened in Melee tournaments. Pulling out a mid/low tier deep in a high stakes Smash tournament is always a HUGE risk, and as you'll see in this video, sometimes it works out, and sometimes.... not so much.
PS: Just like the previous one, I decided to do Melee only for this version as well, this is because top players in Melee generally tend to have a set group of their best 1 or 2 characters that they will play almost exclusively and it is extremely rare to see them go for the shocking and out of the blue low/mid tier character picks. It's much more common to see picks like this in PM, Smash 4, and now Ultimate due to the fact that the metas of these games aren't quite as developed, so there are a lot of low/mid tier characters that haven't been fully explored yet and have a lot of untapped potential, due to this you'll more frequently see top players whipping these characters out in tournament to try to catch their opponent off guard or take advantage of a good matchup. But I'm definitely planning on making a version of this video featuring all games sometime in the future! However, I'll most likely have to wait until Ultimate's meta settles down and becomes more developed, since it came out so recently. Thanks for watching!
The Ice Climbers have potential to be one of the most exciting characters in Smash, their extremely unique design as a character allows for some of the most creative and powerful combos possible in the right hands. They may have their weaknesses, but when a good Ice Climbers is on point, there's not much else like it in Smash. (I highly recommend watching Wobbles at Evo 2013 if you're interested in seeing ICs at their finest) Thanks for watching!
