The T increase by Assia Brill is a beautiful, perfectly centered increase that can be used anywhere you need a double increase. The method is shown in both continental (yarn held in left hand) and English (yarn held in right hand) knitting styles. To use this increase on an item knit at a looser gauge, use the first version shown. To use the increase on an item with a tighter gauge, where the method might pull the fabric in more, prepare the origin stitch on the previous wrong side row, by purling an elongated stitch (double wrap the yarn). This is the second method shown.

Knitting How-to: The T increase by Assia Brill. Slip origin stitch purlwise and wrap over the top of left needle, keeping right needle in stitch. Make knit stitch and drop right leg of origin stitch off left needle. Knit one stitch through center of origin stitch, then knit left leg of origin stitch.
