Do you believe in superhuman powers? A young boy from China has made news recently because he apparently has blue eyes and can see in the dark like a cat.
I'm going to tell you about him and a few other kids in China who people claim have powers or abilities beyond most of us.
Number 1 - A boy with super strength.
Meet Yang Jinlong. He looks like most other seven year olds, okay, so maybe he's a little chubby. But that may not be all chub. Somehow, Yang is able to carry weights with ease that even adults can't lift! Here's him carrying his dad, and pulling a car full of people, no problem!
We're not quite sure why Yang is so strong, at such a young age. His dad said he has a good appetite, which makes me wonder what they feed him.
Well, Yang seems to know what he wants to do with all that strength - his goal is to be a weightlifting champion in the future.
Number 2- An infant who can read.
Little Zhuang Zhuang was only ten months old, when his parents said he was able to recognize more than two thousand Chinese characters. When reporters visited the family, they tried to see whether the baby really could tell different characters apart. Holding two cards each with a word on it, they said one of the words, and waited to see if the baby would pick it out. According to the report, he was able to...and he could even do math problems involving square roots!
So does this little boy have a superbrain? Maybe it's a bit like doing repetitive training for pets. They eventually learn to recognize things through repetition.
But apparently the mom said that when they teach him, they only have to show each card to him once, explain what's on it, and the baby can remember it.
Number 3 - A girl who can see through a blindfold.
Six year old Yi Hui is sitting down with her mom, who believes she has Extra Sensory Perceptions, or ESP. It basically means perception beyond our usual five senses. The girl is blind folded, and then her eyes covered again.Her mom hands her a series of cards. After holding the card very close to her face, Yi Hui is able to say which card she's holding. This one is a 10 of clubs.
Number 4 - A boy who can move things without touching them.
This YouTube video apparently shows a boy with some pretty cool abilities. A group of professors say they got together to research the existence of alternate dimensions. They say this boy has been able to hone in on an ability he was born with, and can make things move without touching them. After looking a little stumped, he seems to be able to move that white object by placing one hand underneath the glass table. Later in the video, you can see him move the bottle around, as well as this jar just by moving his hand around them.

Okay, the boy who can see in the dark. Nong Yousui's story actually came out in 2009, but resurfaced recently. Look at his eyes. They're blue, and almost non-human like. His parents, both Chinese, say he was born this way.
The cool thing about his eyes is that not only are they super blue, his teacher claimed that when he shone a flashlight into them, they illuminated. However, the reporter who tried the same thing said there was no illumination. But, the report did say he did appear to be able to see in the dark. They wrote a list of questions and problems on a piece of paper. Left him in the dark, and when he came out, he had completed the quiz.
Of course, people are wondering whether he really has a supernormal ability to see in the dark. Doctors say it should be easy to test, because animals with night vision have a thin layer of cells in their eyes called the retroreflector...and they could easily test him for it.
