Smash 4 Control Tech: Double Sticking (Auto Buffered SH Aerials) Remzi 2015-07-02 | This is probably the single most useful control trick that I know. I've been using it since Brawl and it makes my movement so much more fluid. It may seem simple, but don't write it off. Every frame is valuable, and forfeiting air control in exchange for frame-perfect aerials isn't necessary.It is possible to also buffer SH U-airs by tilting up on the analog, and then sliding from X to A (default controls). This is very difficult to do consistently, and often turns into an up smash or full jump in the heat of the moment.*NOTE: All controls referenced are default gamecube controls unless specifically stated otherwise. Smash 4: Directional Influence (DI) Explanation Remzi 2015-05-10 | With all of the incorrect information I'm hearing thrown around around about how DI works in Smash4, I decided to make a video about it to set the record straight. All of this info is relevant up to version 1.07 of the game (the DI mechanics haven't changed since Wii U version 1.02).*Note 1: Against moves with COMPLETELY horizontal knockback (i.e CF dtilt), it may be advisable to DI both down and dtowards the stage. You'll survive very slightly longer than if you just DI'd towards the stage, but at the expense of a worse recovery angle. (Thanks to reddit user sm4shfan for giving the idea for this test)*Note 2: I want to clarify that given the really wonky nature of the DI in this game, there is a lot of gray area and a lot that we still don't know about the system.
