Yes it's true. The end of this wonderful experiment of slightly more than 10 years is at last at hand, or at least “officially” anyway. As evidenced by my upload schedule in the recent few years, “irregular” likely comes to mind. You could even make the claim that I've retired from this channel years ago, opting to resurface every once and a while when the urge hits me. That... would be the truth.

Originally, my intention was never to voice my retirement from uploading videos to Past Life Pro, but simply to fade away, like many of the content creators I looked up to and grew up with. That idea did appeal to me for quite some time, but eventually I began to see that should that time truly come, where I would never be able to make another video even if I tried, I would have liked to have sent this channel off with an official goodbye, instead of a cut off point and someone's obligatory, “Is he dead?”. I feel like you guys are owed that much for sticking with me. I hope you'll thoroughly enjoy my “End Of An Era” - Past Life Pro cinematic video. A Minecraft cinematic to end all cinematics!

Now, I'd like to dedicate a part in this write up to talking about what's going to happen to my Kuro: Child of Dragon's "ongoing" series that – not many - but a few of you tune in to.

I still know where I want the story to go with those episodes, but finding time to edit and film shots has proven impossible. Quite honestly, I'm an adult approaching my late 20s, and I don't have the desire to cram weeks worth of time into continuous editing like I used to, and real life obligations make that an irresponsible use of my always decreasing time anyway. This can definitely be said for Minecraft cinematics and tutorials as well. If I do intend to continue that series, I'll make a dedicated Kuro: Child of Dragons channel for that purpose and probably upload a video here talking about that fact before deleting it a few days later. As Lord Hood would say from Halo 3: "This hillside is to remain barren." That'll probably be how things go down should I wish to continue.

Seven Ashina Spears - Shume Masaji Oniwa TOGETHER (No Healing/Deaths) | Demon Bell & No Kuros Charm

Past Life Pro 2021-05-24 | After 9 1/2 months of fighting these two mini bosses together, my no deaths / healing run is finally complete. So proud!
✦This is hands down my favorite boss fight in all of Sekiro because of just how much you have to think and react appropriately in order to live through this massively unfair fight. Many strings of attacks - done in coordination between the two bosses - if deflected or mikiri'ed are absolutely fatal (with demon bell active and no kuros charm) so you must "dance" around your opponents. I remember my first day trying this challenge. My average life span was just a few seconds with the occasional 30 second lucky run in there. Such a heart racing fight-- one that eventually became therapy after a hard day, who would believe it. Fast forward to present day, and I can read both mini bosses like a book when they fight together, though parrying / dodging timing can still be a challenge because you take chip damage for every improper move made. Intense concentration is an understatement indeed. :D

Don't assassinate Shume Masaji Oniwa like everyone else. Polish your skills in the blood of your enemies. Take on both Seven Ashina Spears and Shume Masaji Oniwa together. Surpass your limits!

I've been wanting to make an "atmospheric" video like this for some time now, as a sort of portal into a time that myself and a lot of people hold so dear. All audio / music were heavily edited to feel exactly as if you were playing Minecraft during the Alpha, which from the start of this crazy idea, that was the main wish; Minecraft 1.16.1 feeling like Alpha Minecraft. That's something, ain't it. The "feel" is oooh so important.

My friends, hopefully this brought you on quite the nostalgia trip, and or brought back some fond memories of 2011 - 2012. For myself, Minecraft Alpha will always hold a fond plays in my heart, and I'm happy that I now have a means of looking back at what it was like, in the most faithful cinematic gameplay video that I could create. Although, whenever I look back at how slowly mining redstone was, I always cringe because it's super fast in this video. Can't win em' all, can you. Haha! My friends, the future is looking bright with 4K front and center as the standard for future videos!

Have you ever wanted to set a settings tab in the shader options menu to some higher than aloud? Well, here's how you'd do it. Depending on what you are looking for, the location of the # define or whatever the code displays this as could be most anywhere, so happy hunting. The locations will change per shader, though at least the premise of # define (or whatever it is), name of the graphics setting, default number, //[ ] is the same throughout many shaders, as shown in this video. If you are wanting to update a setting in the game but are having trouble locating what you need, feel free to let me know and I'll try my luck. Hope you find this really interesting!

Also, I got a 4K screen now, so I no longer have to default to 1080p when I don't have up-scale plan. Happy days! Feels awesome to be finally onboard with the current standard!

✍ I came across "Nostalgic Memories" while watching "The Unbearable Now: An Interpretation of The Witness", of which might I had, is a hauntingly beautiful video in all its mindf*ckary. The piece drew me into the video in an instant, keeping me locked to my screen well past its completion. To me, it makes sense why I'd spend my fleeting spare time creating this Synthesia video.. Minecraft cinematic showcasing Robobo1221's V7.1 w/ R3D 512x in 4K 60FPS. Enjoy! :D #Minecraft

Fun fact. This cinematic was originally produced all the way from the beginning to be made into an 8K 60fps video, in honor of YouTube now supporting this feature, and that goal did remain front and center throughout the weeks of production. BUT, technical issues out the butt happened after the After Effects rendering phase, this being the compression phase. Handbreak couldn't for life of itself, compress the 8K cinematic without introduce massive freezes in the footage. That's not acceptable to keep in a video, you could imagine. After about a week of testing, I was able to lower the video quality of the 8K cinematic to 45% of its originally quality and it was able to go without hitching, just it didn't look very good. Yeah, I ended up downgrading the quality to a high quality 4K 60fps version of the original 8K clips. That's what you see now.

The 45% quality version of the 8K 60fps cinematic is still on YouTube though, so if you want to watch it, link is below. It may be far worse in artifacting but it's sharpness can't be beat.
