It complements the punch bow technique very well. You don't take any durability damage on your armor/elytra/bow, but it is really hard to master. This technique is quite good for long distance travels. You can even fall down into the void and still save yourself. On the other hand it is quite useless for short distance travels in which case you are better off with a bow.Use +-40 degree angles (last entry on the (F3) "Facing" line). In each cycle drop between 60 and 80 meters. Don't change your direction abruptly, it causes a loss of momentum. The problem is, that it is almost impossible to do that. The game is too fast and your mouse too slow. You can use a software emulating right click and name the villager that way.... but that is too cheaty and so we will look at a different option... an option that includes 150 zombies. :-DUpdate:There is also another option how to name a villager. I've learned this thanks to nixfriarr's comment. You can stand inside (out of the hitbox) a nether portal and directly name a villager who is next to it. It creates a bug that the trading window is opened without showing, but by accessing any other window (e.g. press E twice) it fixes it.http://redd.it/2grhax
