I wasn't really expecting this kind of teaser with a dark royal theme to it after their initial purple-pink wonderland themed group teasers but I'm 100% here for this new concept! Just from my first listen of the audio teaser today, I was happy that it sounds like they really went for all in for this sound and I hope their debut lives up to the hype!Also I'm so grateful for all the support on my Twice demo last month. Samples You Didnt Know About in Kpop Songs 101% Music 2022-05-15 | Hello everyone! I'm finally back with part 2 of 'Samples in Kpop' with many more examples of samples. I know a lot of you were anticipating this video so I'm happy to finally post it!I wanted to change the editing style from the last video since I wanted to make part 2 more colorful and just overall improve the video's look. I tried many different layouts and eventually this was the one I chose and I'm really happy with how it came out. I also took suggestions from the comments in the last video and added the producer info for all the songs so you guys can see who produced each of these songs. Thank you for this suggestion!I would love to know which samples were your favorite/most surprising. I was definitely surprised by how many STAYC samples I found on splice lol. Especially because most of the samples weren't changed very much when incorporated into the songs, so I recognized them immediately. Also the Queendom sample surprised me a lot since when I first heard it, it sounded familiar but I couldn't place what it was. Then when I finally realized it was Queendom I had to compare them a couple more times to really make sure haha. The original sample is a really long ambient sound(I shortened it in this video to just the part that was sampled) which is really interesting because I've never heard an ambient sound being used in a kpop song before so its a very unique sample to use as an intro. For these types of intros producers most commonly use a reverse vocal fx sample (like First by Everglow or Latata by Gidle) Thank you for watching and I hope you are entertained and learn something new! What Will Red Velvets Feel My Rhythm Sound Like? (Demo) 101% Music 2022-03-21 | Hello everyone! I'm back with a little demo of Red Velvet's Feel My Rhythm! At first I wasn't planning to make a demo for this song since I was working on my "Sample's in Kpop Pt. 2" video (which is coming soon!), but I was really inspired by the orchestral vibe and realized I haven't done an orchestral type song on my channel in a long time.This demo definitely doesn't have a traditional song structure and I see it more as just playing around with the orchestral and music box sounds Red Velvet have teased so far. I really wanted to capture both an elegant yet dark feeling in this demo since those were the vibes I was getting from the teasers. What Will The Feels by Twice Sound Like? (Demo) 101% Music 2021-09-28 | Hello lovelies I'm back with my demo version of 'The Feels' by Twice based off of the teasers thus far! I started working on this a month ago when the first audio teaser came out but only really pushed myself to finish it these past few days. I really liked the prom concept from the teasers so I wanted to make something that sounds dreamy like it could be the slow dance song at the prom but also sound like a fun upbeat dance song. It was my first time ever making dreamy r&b style music like the intro and I honestly thought I wouldn't be able to make it sound good so I gave up like 5 times lol. Queendom by Red Velvet but it has a Horn Solo 101% Music 2021-08-20 | Hello! I'm back with a little edit of Red Velvet's latest comeback Queendom!! Overall I really like the sound they went for with this comeback. The instrumentation of Queendom is minimalistic yet I think their vocals complement it nicely and fill out the track so it doesn't sound too sparse. I especially like the uplifting lyrics for this comeback. Sometimes lyrics like these can be a little cheesy, but I say bring it on with Red Velvet haha Honestly its just a feel good song which I really appreciate in these times.However... the one thing I did want more of from this song was horns! At first I was making a instrumental to one of the album mood sampler audios but it wasn't turning out too well. So instead, once the mv teasers starting coming out I creating an acapella using the second one and made something based of of that.This song isn't really structured like a traditional song that would be sung over, I was thinking its more like an album intro or outro or like a trailer song for the album. I also sampled some parts of Ariana Grande's ghostin in this song because I thought the vibe matched so well so maybe you will be able to spot those parts!Overall I wanted to make something very calming and comforting. Wanted to post this a couple days earlier but I got kinda busy with other work. I tried to create a melancholic vibe with the intro and the whistle from Hann all chopped up but also have a tropical vibe like a lot of (G)I-DLE songs in the verse and prechorus. I sampled the drums from New Rules by Dua Lipa in this demo which you may recognize! Anyways I'm back with an instrumental concept of what a performance intro to Aespa's Black Mamba might sound like! A lot of you guys have commented before that my other videos sound like award show intros, so I decided to try to make a proper one! I was actually working on my You Never Know remix (which is still coming !! sorry that its late!) when I heard the sample you hear at the beginning of the video. It reminded me so much of the dark snake teaser Aespa did that I just had to work on it and make something Aespa themed. I tried to do a little bass drop which I've never done before since Aespa's music has a lot of emphasis on bass. BLACKPINK - Pretty Savage (Short Remix/Demo) 101% Music 2020-10-11 | Its been a little over a week since Blackpink's THE ALBUM came out and I'm back with a little remix/intro/concept demo thing(??) of Pretty Savage. This song went through lots of changes before it came out so I'm not really sure what to call it now lolAt first I was making a KDA demo and had the drums finished but when Pretty Savage came out I wanted to make a remix of that instead and put the acapella over the drums I had made already and it happened to fit perfectly. The hard part of the remix was coming up with ideas for the drop and other instruments. While I was figuring that out, I found that quote of Rosé in a video they did for billboard a year ago and wanted to make a little intro for the remix. I finished that and then tried to finish the full song but I was still out of ideas. I didn't want to have a big time gap between this video and my last video so I extended the intro and didn't finish the full remix.The only thing that bothers me about this remix is how the whistle is still in the acapella of that one part. I tried my hardest to filter it out without ruining the vocals but I couldn't do it so its still left in. BLACKPINK - Lovesick Girls (Teaser Demo/Extended Version) 101% Music 2020-10-01 | Less than 24 hours until Lovesick Girls and Blackpink's first full album!! After all these years of being a fan I'm so happy we've got to this point!Today I'm back with a teaser demo of Lovesick Girls that I'm posting much later than I thought I would be oof, but better late than never ig. There were so many versions of this that I had worked on for the past week. First I made a draft demo of the little synth melody from the very first teaser. I was working on that until we got the first listen of the guitar in the concept video. I scrapped my first draft bc it was a lot more sad sounding than the guitar and they didn't match. The teaser audio wasn't hq and had a bunch of noise in the background I tried to take out but I couldn't' do it so I gave up on that version. Then I started a separate orchestral piece I planned to post as trailer for the album until the music video teaser came out. The mv teaser had a hq audio of the guitar so I went back to my second draft, used the clean audio and finished it up.I wish I could've posted this earlier lol but I hope u still like it. I'm back with a remix of Rosé's Somebody Else (originally by The 1975) cover that she did on an acoustic livestream a couple months ago! I had seen clips of the live before when it came out but I only watched it in full recently which inspired me to make this remix of one of my favourite covers from Rosé!I experimented with lots of new things for me while making this remix like cleaning up the vocals from the live to make an acapella since there where none already made online. The timing of the vocals was also a little off in the live because she performed this song unrehearsed so I had to chop the vocal and adjust the timing a lot. The vocal still isn't prefect with the timing so it still sounds a bit weird but I tired to do my bestOverall I hope you guys enjoy this song as much as I liked making it. Unfortunately this isn't the series I was hyping up since the beginning of 2020.
