Honduras Winter Term 2017 bondedwiththesea 2017-01-19 | I had the amazing opportunity to take a class at my college called "Tropical Marine Environments: Roatan and Honduras" This basically meant I spent a week learning about the environment of Roatan at my school in Florida and then I along with 17 other students and our professor all hopped on a plane and flew to Honduras, where we stayed at Anthony's Key Resort in Roatan and spent a couple days in Copan where we saw the ancient Mayan ruins and got to go for a mountain horseback ride! The entire trip was beyond amazing, and I can't thank my school, parents, and professor enough for giving me this spectacular opportunity. I had one of the best times of my life and got to do so many amazing things, as well as knock more than a few big items off my bucket list! I have so much footage so it was hard to just pick some of the highlights, but I hope you all enjoy!

Summer Internship 2016 bondedwiththesea 2016-08-26 | I was incredibly lucky this year and landed myself an internship with California sea lions at Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut. I grew up going to Mystic and Mystic is why I want to work with marine mammals, so I was beyond excited when I heard I was offered the internship! I just finished the internship a few days ago, and true to form I decided to make a video to showcase the amazing (and adorable) animals I had the privilege of getting to work with this summer. Absolutely nothing feels better than getting to live the dream you have had since you were a child, and this internship taught me so much more than I could have ever imagined. I will never be able to thank the staff and animals enough for all they did for me this summer to help kickstart my career in the animal training field, as well as give me valuable life advice and lessons I will be sure to carry with me throughout the rest of my career and life. So once again, thank you to every single person (and animal) I was lucky enough to work with this summer. I Just Dont Wanna Miss You Tonight bondedwiththesea 2016-03-20 | After hearing the news that SeaWorld plans to end their breeding program (and you can see my personal thoughts on this here: http://bondedwiththesea.tumblr.com/po...) I was both confused and hurt by the news, but overwhelmingly I felt for the trainers and the animals that would be most affected by this new restriction. I have always loved this song and wanted to make a video to it, but I never had the right inspiration. When I heard SeaWorld's news, however, I knew I had the perfect song to express my feelings towards it. Though I've been riding horses for eight years, Joe, you were the only one that ever managed to steal my heart. Although I only started consistently riding you the past 2 years, I can honestly say they have been the best 2 years of my life, and you were a huge part of that. Every success, every failure, you were right there with me. From many firsts, such as my first oxer and first trail ride, to many accomplishments, like jumping higher and doing more courses. You were my rock when I needed someone solid, never faltering, never failing in your efforts. Living is Hard but Im Earning My Way-2014! bondedwiththesea 2014-12-23 | 2014 has been an amazing year, easily the best year of my life so far. It's been filled with new places and plenty of new faces, the formation of friendships I know I'll have for a long time to come, and of course, plenty of animals!From being total dorks at SeaWorld Camp in San Antonio, TX (Yes, I went to TEXAS! How rad is that?!) to surprising Taylor with a beluga encounter (which was SO much fun, and I'm so glad I was able to do it with her-whale nerds from the start ;D) it's all been a wild ride of craziness and excitement. Not only that, but 2014 is officially my very last year living in Connecticut year round. Come August next year I will be moving down to Florida for school, where I will remain for at least the following 4 years, and then after that, who knows what adventures life will have in store for me! Well, I know that's not completely true, and that would simply be because I've found my soulmate, and while she's certainly not my romantic destiny (we share a more "tragically heterosexual" relationship xD) she is everything I could have ever wanted in a friend, a person, a soulmate. She's my other half, and I don't know what I would do without you. I'm not sure what brought us together-fate, luck, the internet-but whatever it may have been, I'll spend my entire life trying to repay it for giving me the chance to know you.
