An introduction to a video about Marx's Criticism of Max Stirner's philosophy of egocentrism.
Labour is what distinguishes the human species from the other animal species. With the increase of population, division of labour appeared because it is more effective. This led to alienation of humans from the products of their labour and from labour itself, also from other human beings.
Marx does not consider division of labour, alienation and private property to be 'mistakes', he considers them necessary stages in the evolution of human society.
The point is that human consciousness is a social product and cannot be considered as self-sufficient and absolutely independant from other human beings or from society.
Hopefully (and depending on the interest, or lack of it), I will make a more detailed video on this important topic.
