In this video, I’m testing the new JBL PartyBox On-The-Go 2 Plus, including its AI lyric removal, karaoke features, vocal effects, pitch shifting, sound quality, portability, light show, battery life, and whether it’s actually worth picking up.
The headline feature here is AI lyric removal. You can play a regular song and reduce or remove the lead vocals so you can take over karaoke-style. It gives you different levels of vocal reduction, including 100%, 50%, 25%, and 0%, so you can decide how much of the original singer you want left in the mix.
But the AI feature is only part of the story. The JBL PartyBox On-The-Go 2 Plus also includes vocal tools that make a big difference, especially if you are not exactly a professional singer. The echo effect helps smooth out your voice, while the pitch shift feature lets you adjust the key of the music to better match your range.
In other words, this is not just a loud Bluetooth speaker. It is a portable-ish karaoke setup built for parties, bars, beach days, casual performances, and anyone who wants to turn almost any song into a karaoke track.
That said, it is also big and heavy. It has a shoulder strap, and you can move it from the car to the beach, into a party, or across a venue, but this is not something I would want to carry around all day. It is lovable, not wearable.

Ace Studio’s new Video Composer can analyze your video, generate matching music and sound effects, and place everything into a fully editable timeline.
In this video, I walk through exactly how it works, from importing a silent B-roll sequence to generating multiple music options, layering AI-created sound effects, and refining everything directly inside the canvas.
If you’ve ever spent way too long trying to find the right background music, ambient sounds, or scene-specific effects for a video, this feature is aiming to make that process much faster.
Ace Studio analyzes the footage in real time — including cuts, motion, on-screen events, and the environment — then generates music and special effects that fit the scenes.
The generated audio is placed into the timeline as editable clips, so you can still move things around, adjust volume, fade clips in and out, duplicate sections, mute tracks, or delete anything you do not want.
In this demo, I start with a blank project, drag a video into the canvas, and let Ace Studio analyze the clip. From there, I generate a calm music track for the full video, then create a second music track with a more upbeat feel that matches different scenes including the park, the office, and Times Square.
After that, I use Video Composer to generate scene-aware sound effects, then manually refine parts of the timeline by selecting ranges and prompting for more specific ambient audio like pond sounds, park ambiance, and children playing in the background.
One of the biggest takeaways from the video is that Ace Studio is not just generating audio and locking you into the result. The music and sound effects are dropped into the timeline with full editability, which makes the tool feel more like an AI audio assistant for video rather than a one-click black box.
