breathe again - the reign of kindo cover jukmifgguggh 2023-12-31 | made with Ableton Live 11 Trial. i am liking it a lot. i went overboard with the number of tracks on this one, considering i was previously limited to 16...i found a Sony F-V420 lying around and i tried it out for this cover. i think it suits my voice pretty well. but i also recently got a new SM57 so i think i might just use that for everything now lolyou should also check out the original song (breathe again by the reign of kindo) if you are unfamiliar with it. it is pretty different from how this sounds. i really like Kindo's stuff, and i hope to do more covers of their music in the future.

(of course, the original audio doesn't clip or anything; i just mixed it really loud). audio is so cool :Dwith regards to how i made this: like on my cover of buddy holly, I am using a cool plugin called `guitar gadgets` on the guitars, bass, vocals, and even the synths. it has a good cassette filter thing which is useful for other things, as well as a crazy bit-crusher/down-sampler/resonant-filter thing that i am making heavy use of here. another fun fact- I just put new strings on my electric. can you hear the difference? hahawith regards to the lack of uploads: i have a new computer, thanks to my sister! i am in the process of getting all my old plugins re-installed; i'm mostly back to normal now, but still missing my good old pitch correction software, so this is one of the only kinds of things i can do before i get that again.

Glad I could finally sneak my real bass onto one of these covers, since most of them were made before I got it (so they use ABPL2 instead.)The sustained bass note at the end was a little tricky to pull off. It's an A#1, which isn't even possible on a 5-string (unless you tune the lowest string down), let alone a 4-string like the one I have. So, I played an A#2 and pitched it down an octave by slowing it down to half speed.
