In the first two hours of Shadowgate 2 gameplay we figure out perhaps the silliest puzzle of 2025 (CROSSBOW BOLTS?). Raven not only has a fine name but apparently also is super light.
The gameplay starts at 3:45, we find where the rope is "hidden" 4:15 and solve the first puzzle of getting past the block of ice using a fireball spell at 5:10. Our first successful fight against an Ice Wraith is at 5:50.
Yorick the Necromancer joins us around 9:00 as does the first puzzle quest one could fail at, the square holes that seek insertion. The first right plate (medallion or medal) is found at 10:50
At 13:25 we put the old rope to use to drive the wooden wheels of the apparatus/mechanism that opens a door behind the wall it is mounted on.
Enjoy the first death at 12:50 and the next by Young Dragon at 17:50, overcoming it finally at 21:35.
The second left medallion/medal is found at 22:22 and put to use at 23:20. Soon after at 23:50 we find the dreaded SET OF BOLTS. Cluelessness drives us to recklessness and a death by elemental through a SIMPLE ice magic attack at 33:00 (yeah right, "simple"). It takes all the way to 37:25 to finally use the bolts as intended by LOGIC and WIT. Yorick has nothing to say, look around.
38:00 elemental protection cape. 39:20 Elemental smash. At 44:00 we solve the lava pillar rune symbols puzzle by having LOOKED REALY HARD.
The Lightning Crows seem nearly easy a fight at 47:10 and our first encounter with the Djinn begins at 52:45. After another failure, a successful battle begins at 57:50.
The Djinn's first riddle is "solved" using the Time orb starting 1:09:33. The solution to "Give me food but I will always hunger. Give me drink but I will always thirst. Speak to me but I will never answer." makes total sense of course. At 1:12:30 we deliver the solution and the door behind the Djinn opens for us to walk through to the Castle.
The stone pedestal crystal puzzle begins at 1:15:40 and ends at 1:40:35 (but apparently will continue later). It's not a laser and will not hurt you by the way. In between we successfully battle the Rat-men at 1:22:50, the Wraith at 1:38:45 and the Rubble Amalgam at 1:42:28.
BUT NOT BEFORE SOLVING ANOTHER EXTREMELY LOGICAL CROSSBOW BOLT RELATED PUZZLE at 1:29:00, which at first I had no idea what I was doing there. Then I completely miss the reward at 1:31:55 but then pick up the discarded red crystal at 1:33:35.
I TOTALLY DID NOT FALL DOWN THE LADDER AND DIE AT 1:41:14! (Okay, well, what's done is done.)
In between: iron key, gold key (WHY DID RAVEN NOT KEEP IT - or did she?), wooden key, skellies all over the ground/walls and a lot of being los (I mean "exploration"). Random use of spells to solve a "puzzle" at 1:51:35. It's grrreat!
Be merry as I spend the final 10 minutes after 1:53:15 failing at the library bookshelves arrangement puzzle. Better luck next time?
Raven is a fine name.
This video gets us through the tutorial, shows one death (COPY BURNT 34:00) and gets us through the first mission, including fun tasks for the whole family, solving questions like:
Where to find Persona Materials (just follow the markers)
How to collect Persona Materials (connect to the creepy thing and disconnect)
How to destroy Beta sector E-115 Pump (interact, drag red box to white box)
How to destroy Gamma sector E-115 Pump (same)
How to activate Lure (drive into the crater and interact)
How to kill the Diver (shoot red parts then shoot any parts)
and how to survive random encounters (drive away into safe area you already cleared, use cover as much as you can)
Other tasks we pass and figure out how to:
Locate the Landship
Enter the Landship (getting pat on head)
Locate Cyril on the Bridge (watch premiere pro glitch template video fx, see a lady, get cool hat/helmet)
Salvage a Tank
Locate the Maintenance Outpost
Locate the Tank
Attach Wheels
Attach Motors
Salvage Parts for Scrap
Repair Hull
Leave Maintenance Outpost
Return the Tank to the Landship
Park on the Vehicle Jack
Arm the Tank
Buy Weapon from Parts Terminal
Mount the Weapon on the Tank
Load Ammo into Tank
Talk to Cyril on the Bridge
Take a Mission (on the table, dumbnuts!)
Deploy to Location
So should you buy TankHead? I think the AI generated voice is sad. The English translation is awkward at times. Whether this stems from lack of expert editing or AI/MT translation with hasty review I don't know. The performance is only sad in the recording but good in gameplay. For me. But the game looks great if you can run it at medium and it is fun so far. Art and level/map is great, the mechanics on the battlefield are fun, don't know yet about upgrades but seems like might be too grindy but that's what CheatEngine is for: youtu.be/Mj1bnmWAadc

Did you spot the Diver model collectible at 1:33:03?
Though I might have overdone it—can I get a hell yeah from everybody also setting their brightness/gamma settings to max?

3 tiles: space station with a house in the basement? (A), storage hall with cranes on the roof (B), metro station (C).
(A) just started as trying to get a grip on ProBuilder. Thankfully one of my first steps was to make a hole in the roof, setting a theme of at least some verticality in the set. I kept being reminded of System Shock while making this. The very much unpolished vending machine is definitely System-/Bioshock in mind.
(B) is mostly inspired by Receiver 2's levels.
(C) started as an attempt to build something based on the Alexandra Road estate. It turned into a metro/subway station.
[1. Explore the tower.]
Inside the tower, you find abandoned living quarters and a surprisingly intact alchemical workshop. Someone spent many years making potions out here.
[1. Examine the equipment.]
You can't tell when the alchemist left. It's been years, at least. Whoever it was, they left fast. The shelves rotted, the jars fell to the floor and smashed, and the goo inside oozed into the ground.
You find one thing of value: a potion flask, miraculously intact and still sealed.
[1. Take the potion.]
It is a properly enchanted potion flask. Seems like it will be very useful. You put it in your pack.
[1. Loot and burn down the tower.]
First, you help yourself to everything you can sell. Then you light a torch.
The goo and slime is surprisingly flammable. Soon, the tower is ablaze. The vile stuff will no longer seep into the earth. Maybe, in a few years, nature will reclaim this accursed valley.
As you run out of the tower, you find an unpleasant surprise. The heat and vibrations have caused several towers of goo to rise out of the earth.
New Modifiers
Green Demon: try to complete the game while being chased by a slower but immortal kill drone.
Thick Fog: Darken the world and shorten your view distance, making enemies harder to see and increasing their potential to surprise you.
Spawn Magazines: At long last, additional magazines will spawn in the world, allowing you to have more than the ones you initially manifest.
Tough Killdrones: Killdrones take more of a beating by requiring that you hit vital components, no more random chance of destruction by any hit.
Deadly Threat: Everything is worse. The Threat is made near impossible to overcome.
Other Changes and Fixes
Add a “Modifiers” menu button to play custom games.
Reduce garbage generation in Shell Casings scripts.
Fixed an issue with Revolvers.
Made VSync turn off by default.
Improved the Settings menu to be nicer to use and interact with.
Implement FOV Slider.
Stop limiting the games FPS to 60.
Globally enable round interpolation inside of magazines.
Adjust player camera near-plane.
Implement a speedrun split timer for tape-pickup.
Added an advertisement for Receiver 2 in the pause menu, can be completely disabled via settings.
