ardwickofonettThe long awaited second episode of EarthBound Animated!
This time, trouble knocks on Ness's door. Literally! Porky's here, and his brother has gone missing. Armed with a cracked bat and his own courage, Ness joins in on the mission to find Picky before his parents get home!
Now, let me explain my lateness. You see, originally Episode II was going to be a twenty minute show, featuring Ness's journey from Porky's arrival to dawn. But, considering it would take much longer then I have already spent, and that Youtube has a 11 minute time limit, I finally made the choice to break the original plan in two. So, now, this release of Episode II features Ness reaching the Meteorite, and Episode III will now go to the events afterward to dawn.
When's Episode III coming out? I'll just be honest and say I have absolutely no idea. But, I'm willing to bet it will not be for a long time from now. I got too many things to deal with already so you'll have to be patient.

So, please sit back and enjoy! :)Advanced 2D Animation Assignmentsardwickofonett2011-12-25 | Eight animation assignments I have done over the last few months for homework.
I have not been dead, but I have been busy.Unfinishedardwickofonett2011-04-21 | What's an incomplete drawing to do when it's creator leaves it unfinished?
The following story is about a doodle drawn by Ardwick. Though he nears completing it, a phone call results in the doodle remaining unfinished. The drawing that feels heavily dissatisfied that he was left alone. He waits for hours on end, but eventually sets his sights on a new goal.
This is a short film created for my Senior Seminar and Portfolio class. The assignment: you have the semester to create your own production that displays your talents.

An old project, done for my 2010 "Principals of Animation Class." This was a class final.
Uploaded now because I hope to enter a contest, and because it's high time I upload an original animation.New Years Announcementardwickofonett2011-01-01 | Just the latest in news, honestly not much to claim here.
A Tenda (being shy by nature) finds himself needing to overcome his shyness when a traveling visitor needs help.
My shortest complete animation I think, but it works as far as telling a short story goes! The Haunted Phase Distorter (Unfinished Project Trailer)ardwickofonett2010-10-25 | This was going to be a full entry for the Halloween Funfest Starmen.net is having, but I just couldn't finish the darned thing in time due to college work. So instead, I made up a mock trailer using what I had managed to animate by that time. Oh well, I'll just have to hope I have better luck and a lesser schedule to make it to the Winterfest instead.
So enjoy or something, and Happy Halloween (almost)!
EDIT: On second thought I have decided to try submitting it as is for the Threed segment of the EarthBound Fanfest. Couldn't hurt to try and see what happens I suppose!Announcement: Audition Resultsardwickofonett2010-09-10 | The results for the EarthBound Animated Auditions are here. Again, thank you to everyone who participated!
Three friends gather one Saturday night to play a game of cards. However, when one of the players gets a suspiciously great hand in the first round, doubts emerge about their buddy's fair play.Announcements: EarthBound Animated, the Lets Plays, and Future Worksardwickofonett2010-07-27 | Link to EarthBound Animated Auditions: http://forum.starmen.net/forum/topic/48316/page/6#post1616432
A few announcements concerning EarthBound Animated and it's auditions. I'm also announcing that my Let's Play videos are going to be posted at LpingwithArdwick. Lastly, a few previews to future projects.EarthBound Animated Opening #1 and Ending #1ardwickofonett2010-05-26 | The Opening and the Ending credit sequences of EarthBound Animated, uploaded per request.
Just in case you'd like to watch them without having to wait for the rest of the episode to load as well.
In case you were curious, the opening theme is Bein' Friends, done as part of a Mother medley performed by Low Tech Son, a band in Japan. The ending song is Sanctuary Serenade, as heard on the fan album Rock Candy.Charlie Chapman: Quartermaster of the USS Indusardwickofonett2010-04-15 | A bit different then what I usually do, but I'm proud of it anyway.
A documentary about bcd113's grandparents, Charlie and Jean Chapman and their experiences during WWII, from Pearl Harbor until the Atomic Bomb. They tell a story about their childhood, their marriage, and what it was like living during the war. Charles Chapman also explains a first hand account about being in the Navy.
Made for my Documentary Production class at college, along with David Riley (http://www.youtube.com/user/dmstrdman20) and Shane Duggan as co-producers. Again, I know it's not quite the same material I usually post here, but again I'm proud of it. I'll have more humor related movies, and of course animations posted later in the future.
PS. This is not about Charlie Chaplin, the historic actor and director.EarthBound Animated Pilot (Redux)ardwickofonett2009-12-24 | Yes yes, I know I STILL don't have the second episode done yet. I did what I could, but college take priority guys, sorry...
But in the meantime, perhaps you would enjoy this. It's the first episode, yes again, but with a few changes. I added an opening sequencer to it, as well as a little bit of narration from Exotria. I also uploaded it in a higher quality, and made a few alterations, including among them a change in music, and repairs in Ness's running cycles so they don't look quite as bad.
Also, I need to credit BCD113, Timofey, Brian, Kamil, and Exotria for providing a tiny bit of background dialog while Ness runs up the hill.
As for the credits in the opener, those are the fellows who contributed their voice acting to the second episode, so you'll hear their voices then.
That's about it I suppose! Again, I must reiterate that I do not own EarthBound or anything about it including the music, I'm just the guy who animated this. Have a Happy Holiday everyone!Wrath of Halloweenardwickofonett2009-10-31 | If you want to see something more EarthBound related for Halloween, check here: http://ardwickofonett.deviantart.com/art/ZOMBIES-W-I-P-142006973
I am completely shameless with my filler material. 8D Also yes, I am aware of the fact that you can see my hand a couple of times. I'm a cartoon animator, not a stop-motion specialist. Don't take this one seriously people. =P
I made it back last Halloween but didn't bother to upload it because I thought it would detract attention from Rosemary Manor. Features special guest "Ghost of Starman" and a Fobby from EarthBound, Luigi from the Mario brothers, and other random characters that do not amount to much. And a penguin, huzzah.
I ought to collect more EarthBound figurines and make a silly little sketch someday.DMP Lighting (Part 2): FILM NOIRardwickofonett2009-07-22 | The second of a three part series entitled: FILM NOIR.
Again, this is part 2 of a class assignment given to me. We take a turn towards the old, 1940's style. Yeah, if some of you are wondering why I am taking so long with my animation, here's one more excuse to chalk up for. Well, not so much this, as opposed to simply having quite a few schoolwork assignments. Take this for example: in my Lighting Class, I received a script and was told to make it movie out of it. Here are the results, with a few tweaks to the wording and scenario.
We find yet another investigator, who looks suspiciously like a certain hero's father in a familiar office. He investigates a murder and comes across a lead from a certain photographer.
So yes, please enjoy this filler, for those of you who watch this. And inspite of the breaks, I am still editing the animation as well, it turns out fight sequences are harder then they look. D:DMP Lighting (Part 1): SUSPENSEardwickofonett2009-07-03 | The first of a three part series entitled: SUSPENSE.

This movie features the return of the Private Eye, joined by the newest in a line of red-shirts, the movie-watching moocher. During an argument, something goes wrong...

D:ZOMBIES?! (Outakes)ardwickofonett2009-04-30 | Some filler material. All of our "ZOMBIES?!" takes during the Rosemary Manor Film. Nothing more, nothing less.
If you like Zombies, great. If not, er, well sorry. 'tis part of an incomplete blooper reel.EarthBound Animated Sneak Peek: Awkward Phone Callardwickofonett2009-04-14 | IT'S ABOUT TIME.
No, not for the entire film. I am getting there, but I still have a ways. But at least I finally have something new to show for it.
Anyway, EarthBound Animated Episode II will be called "A Bee I am Not", and focuses on the rest of the prologue story of EarthBound, between Porky's arrival at Ness's house to Ness's departure from Porky's House. I won't spoil it any further for those of you who have not played the game.
So, this particular scene highlights the part where Ness's Dad calls him. And... I don't know, is it me, or does that seem like a REALLY awkward part of the game or what? At least, that's how I intended to depict it. The most challenging thing of that scene was to design his father's office, since we never see where his dad works. I remodeled it since the first preview into this final form. I guess I was kind of going for a Film Noir kind of thing. Did it work?
ALSO, finally, we get dialog in the movies. The entire cast has been picked for this episode a while ago. I have the full listing in the credits, for those of you who may have forgotten.
Speaking of which, I am incredibly sorry for taking so long. It's been close to a year since I started I think. The moral, everyone? Never, EVER, EEEEEVER take on a huge animation project by yourself while attending college, experiencing computer problems, and moving between homes. JUST. DON'T. DO. IT.
So yeah... that's my only excuse. But now I am back on track: my semester is ending and I plan to take full advantage of it. You can probably expect it to be done sometime in the summer. When exactly I can't say for certain, I'll be more definite as it gets closer and closer to being done.
So yeah, that's it! Enjoy!Rosemary Manor (Part II)ardwickofonett2008-11-01 | In the year 194X, a private investigator and his partner, a much younger photo-man (Fuzzy J. Pickles) from Threed are sent by their employer to investigate the sounds of a piano playing up a racket in Spookane's Rosemary Manor. But with Pixelated Maps, Unburning Candles, Alarm Ghosts and "ZOMBIES?!" abound, will they even be able to find this musical instrument of doom? This is my entry for this year's Halloween Funfest at Starmen.net. Or rather, the secpnd half, considering the movie exceeded 10 mins and I needed to snap it in two.Rosemary Manor (Part I)ardwickofonett2008-10-31 | In the year 194X, a private investigator and his partner, a much younger photo-man (Fuzzy J. This itself isn't the entry, bit it shows the shape of things to come.
It will be a movie called Rosemary Manor, which is based of the level that is in the original MOTHER. I know there's going to be a few difficulties in the production, and I'm not even sure I will be able to complete it by Halloween, so if I can't, then at least we have this.
In the film will be Exotria, Vakalvy, Shiro, and myself. Perhaps a couple more people, but that's really it...
And... well, that's it. Wheeeeee...EarthBound Animated Preview Episode IIardwickofonett2008-08-19 | EarthBound Animated Series is a small, fan-made project organized by me at Starmen.net, designed specifically for the fans. and is not in any way owned by us, except for the animated series itself. EarthBound, the story, and it's characters are all (c) Nintendo, Hal Laboratories, and Ape Laboratories.
The preview for the second episode. I know it's STILL not done yet: I have had another movie project, plus college, plus driving classes to tend to, so please bear with me.
Uh, so, on a brighter note: I do have this to show for. This particular preview boasts the voices of Alec (aka abigpieceofcheese) as Buzz Buzz, Mystic Pyro Freak as Porky (Pokey), Qaz as Ness's Dad, for a brief attack sound dsigner as Ness, and Crouching Mouse as the attacked Spiteful Crow. For the full cast list of the episode:
I know this is taking much longer then it should, but I do have more time on it in the weeks to come due to being on a multi-week break from classes, and I have promised to at least complete this one, so sooner or later (rather sooner) I will have this done. Until then, please bear with me.
In the near future, I will post the preview for the OTHER movie I've been working on, plus a "repaired" version of the Pilot, using slightly better animation and fixing awkward ones: (I.e. Ness's Running Cycle, the stale clouds, non-Earthbound Music, etc).EarthBound: Animated Series Pilotardwickofonett2008-05-21 | This is my entry in yet another one of those Starmen.net contests. This time, it's something I have actually been planning before, and this gave me a good opportunity to try it out.
SO, here I am, testing it out! This is EarthBound, the animated series! My goal is to try and animate as much of the game (if not all) as I can. It's basically my interpretation of the classic SNES RPG that has for a long time been ignored by NoA and unknown to most of the other gamers out there. So, here is my movie, to both show the game in my eyes and at the same time maybe introduce other people to it. Just in case it ever, for some amazing reason, ends up on the virtual console.
ARGH, that being said, I had to cut -so- much out of this pilot episode. I realized I could only really get to that point without the dialog. I'm thinking next time I'll audition some voice talents or something. Ah well, that's another day.
For now, enjoy! Or don't. Your Choice. The Minch Who Stole Tony (Starmen.net Project)ardwickofonett2008-01-13 | This is my short movie for 2007's holiday funfest for Starmen.net. I know it's not too much, but hey, It's what I managed to get. There WAS going to be voice acting, but I ran out of time. Ah well, maybe next time?
That's all there is to say. Good luck to me.Threed to Beethovens 5thardwickofonett2007-10-31 | This is my completed version of the movie I made for Starmen.net's Halloween Funfest for 2007. Basically, it's a story that takes place after Earthbound. I was able to get it done just in time for Halloween. I hope you enjoy!
Please remember that I am still a tad new at flash, so... yeah, I apologize for the quality.Threed (Starmen.net funfest project Preview)ardwickofonett2007-10-27 | This is a preview of a movie, based on the game Earthbound, that I have been working on for this year's Starmen.net Halloween Funfest. It's not complete yet, so I've just put up the trailer for it, for now =D
