In case people are confused !! ⚠️Warrior cats is a series written by Erin Hunter (A group of multiple writers) that spans over one hundred books in length. There are four clans; Thunderclan, Windclan, Riverclan, and Shadowclan. But quite similar to countries, these clans don’t get along. There is also a fifth clan known as Starclan, it is Warrior Cat's version of heaven.As for Mapleshade’s Vengeance. Mapleshade was a very strong warrior of Thunderclan, however she fell in love with a tom from Riverclan, Appledusk, and had his kits. Mapleshade kept it a secret, and Frecklewish, another Thunderclan warrior, believed they were the kits of her brother. Appledusk had also killed her brother not long ago. Fastforward, Ravenwing gets a prophecy from Starclan about 3 reeds at the mouth of his den, indicating Mapleshade’s 3 kits were mixed with Riverclan. He tells Oakstar and then Mapleshade is sentenced to an exile from Thunderclan territory, and Frecklewish leaves claw gashes in Mapleshade’s eyes for her to remember. She tries to cross into Riverclan by crossing over the river via the stepping stones, but her kits all fall in the river and all drown. Some Riverclan warriors end up trying to rescue them but it is too late, Appledusk being one of them, and they all take Mapleshade and her dead kits to the clan’s camp. Darkstar exiles Mapleshade from Riverclan as well, objecting to her requests to join just so she could properly bury her kits. As this happens, Mapleshade makes the discovery that Appledusk was cheating on her with a Riverclan she-cat known as Reedshine. She seeks shelter in a barn, hallucinating that her dead kits are begging her for help, and she takes this as a need to plot vengeance on everyone who did her wrong. She first killed Ravenwing at the moonstone, then she lured Frecklewish to snakerocks where she was bit in the eyes by a venomous adder. And lastly, in her attempt to kill Appledusk’s new pregnant mate, she ends up killing him instead.
