Army of the Dead | VFX Environment Breakdown | Framestore Framestore 2021-07-07 | One of the main challenges the team faced on Army of the Dead was building a post-apocalyptic environment of Las Vegas. VFX Supervisor Bob Winter and his crew flew in for a two-week shoot and gathered reference material of the entire strip. Working from vis dev’s concept art work of a destroyed Las Vegas, the team recreated the city and its iconic landmarks. Director Zack Snyder’s distinctive aesthetic style was also on full display; from muted color palettes to velvety textures - all shot through dream lenses.

The Secret Garden | VFX Breakdown | Framestore Framestore 2020-11-02 | We brought our own special blend of creativity to the spellbinding grounds of Misselthwaite Manor for StudioCanal's reimagining of The Secret Garden. Joining the team as the VFX partner for the film in its entirety, we supported the shoot through to postproduction. Working closely with director Marc Munden (Utopia, Electric Dreams), the brief included using subtle VFX to breathe life into the garden, crafting a full-CG robin and building complex real-world environments. The film is now out on Sky TV.
