Ghost of the Immortal Babe, by Abaddon.
First there was Immortal Babe, then there was Immortal Babe+.
And now, Ghost of the Immortal Babe.
I knew going into this map that it would be much harder than Babe of Transcension, because we all knew that Abaddon was cooking up some insane new gimmicks with the help of Zebra and Gotch. Playtesters were beating the map in 30 hours and so everyone in the community knew it was going to be a struggle.
A struggle it was, but the map is really awesome and the only area that I could not stand after a while was area 5. Knowing what I know now, after beating the map and seeing a speedrun of it, it isn't actually all that bad. I'm really excited to attempt to speedrun this map in preparation for the ultimate IB trilogy speedrun.
The final screen was a bit of a puzzle, but the answer was there all along, I was just too stupid to realise at the time that the text at the top of "The Ghost Tower" was indeed referring to the final screen. So yeah
I kind of got confused and completely forgot about it, not even realising until I was completely frustrated with the final screen that I asked for hints in the discord only for it to ultimately basically be "remember the text". After that it was pretty obvious, the only part I should have been slightly confused about was interpreting what the text was saying about the second jump.
I did not expect my mic be so quiet in the recordings compared to the music, so that's why I decided to add in subtitles for the parts where I want people to know what I'm saying/thinking. Doesn't help that I got a new PC and didn't really check mic/music volumes before jumping into this grind, but that's alright.

Really short grind for a really big 8 second PB (:
This time I went mostly all out on new strats which is the reason this is so fast despite making mistakes early on in Bog and Manor. Also, my last PB was July 2022, so Id like to think Im naturally much better than what I was back then. Will definitely come back to this eventually as I see lots of room for improvement but could be in another 22 months time lmao.

Very happy with this, especially after the unfortunate events that preceded. The first choke was also on the same pace as this, which wouldve been nice to just get but now that I finally got it I dont mind, as it is all part of the process.
When I was playing this morning, I was struggling really hard on area 2, especially the final screen. But when I came back a few hours later, I was still choking every now and then, but was also getting some good paces (as seen). Also, in my earlier session, the power tripped during the middle of a run which was a bruh.
In the first clip, Im not wearing the shoes because when I went to equip the snake ring for that one skip in Northern Ridge, but also accidentally toggled the giant boots.

Greatest first run of the day ever.
I had delayed playing this for a couple of days because I was almost dreading the grind for it. However, I lucked out and got this. I knew my last run had enough mistakes that I could still mess up a bit during this run and still beat it, but I had no idea if I was on pace or not until I got towards the end of second to last area.
Dont really wanna play this unless someone beats it, this couldve taken days, maybe even a week. Very surprised and very happy (:
