A long slop going down to a sandy bottom. Unfortunately now so much to see and a bit disappointment compared to other island I have dived. However, there ware some fish, moray eel, turtles etc. and some low growing corals. I was waiting to see the elusive wale shark which I have not yet seen and filmed yet. The dive organisation Oceanus were very professional and has good equipment. I may have to go back there one day again, but then in January, February and March to film the wale shark. Otherwise I enjoyed the dives and can certainly recommend Oceanus.4K. In the middle of central Karlskoga, high up on Rävåskullen, stands a cannon with 28 cm (11 inch) calibre. It is one of the largest guns manufactured by Bofors and was one of the 4 guns that the armoured ship Sweden was armed with. The Swedish people raised money for this ship in 1912, the fundraiser gave a total of 17.1 million Kr. = USD 1,967.609. In early 1960, the armoured ship Sweden was scrapped and the cannon was donated to Karlskoga municipality. This is a nice and organised dive center with good gear. Everything was loaded on the boat and you only had to take yourself from the shop across the street to the boat. Had Darios as dive master who took it very nice and easy and showed us many things to see. We first dived the north side of the dive site called Santa Irini and second dive was the south side if Santa Irini. The water was warm, about 25 deg C and the visibility about 35 to 40m, which was excellent. Saw lots of various small fish, Lion fish, octopus, moray eels, nice tube worms. There was also a nice cave you could enter in to as well as some nice swim throughs. In the break we something to eat and drink. It was a very pleasant and relaxed dive and I would certainly recommend Arian Diving Centre and dive with them again.4K Scuba dive Africa-Zanzibar May 2019Tony Thelning2019-06-14 | 4K. All your gears are already on the boat and you get a water bottle to fill up and take with you. Between dives we had oranges, water melon and some cookies. Spanish Dancer Divers are very professional and take great care of you. They always checked for any currents before we dived. They also had good gear. Filmed a green leaf fish which I have never seen before and the elusive garden worms. Also saw a nice spotty box fish I have never seen before. All gear was already loaded on to the boat and all we had to do, was to jump on-board their specially built speed boat called Midnight blue that took us there very fast and safe.
The first dive was at the Chum Phon Pinnacle in the north end of the island. The weather was fantastic and the sea very calm. Water was a thundering +30 deg C and visibility about 25 meters. We got down to about 20m and had a total time of 33 minutes. Brandon was the dive master and we were 4 divers with him.
There was plenty of corals and fish life and one of the fishes I have not seen earlier was the Bar-Tailed Goatfish. (probably common there). Many nice Butterfly fish, Trigger fish, Bat fish and lots lots more. It was a nice and slow dive, which gave us plenty of time to look around and see things.
We then had a nice lunch on-board, anchored to the beach. After lunch we when to a place called Shark Island, but we did not see any sharks there he he he........ This dive was shallower to about 11m. The visibility was about 12-15m. There was lots of groups of brown corals, which had plenty of fish around them. This dive was also very nice and relaxed and we got about 42 minutes of the dive. Diving with the Dive Academy is something I certainly can recommend, as they are all very professional people and take great care of you.

First time was night time 1990 at the Great Barier Reef in Australia and this year 2015 in Mallorca, Spain I was lucky to see it in day time. Phylum Echiura (Echiurans). Sometimes called the spoon worm, with soft plump bodies, which live in U-shaped burrows or in rock crevices down to abyssal depths. They have an extensible but not eversible proboscis (forked tongue) with a ciliated groove for collecting food. It is the proboscis ("forked tongue") of an echiuroid and may be related to the family Bonellidae. Members of this family have proboscis (tongue) with a Y-shaped tip like Bonellia viridis. There are many species in this family. Does anyone know to which family this one belongs to. Udo, Chris, Pedro, the captain and all the rest of the staff are very professional and friendly and helpful and do everything to make your dive pleasant. This time I was a bit early there, but the weather was perfect and the water about 25 deg C and 22 further down, but felt pretty comfortable with the 3mm shorties. We dived at the Portals Veills and El Sech. At El Sech I hit a thermo cline and saw the shimmer in the water, but proceeded. It hit me like a shock and I turned around very fast. Do not know how cold it was in degrees, but it was terrible cold. Portals Veills if you seen several other sites in the world does not give you much more that getting wet and some sea weeds. Sorry guys. El Sech has much more to offer in fish life plus the wreck. I will certainly be back again.Chi lounge the chill out place to visit.Tony Thelning2015-06-20 | The Chi Lounge is a different place to anything else. Had 2 very nice dives with Trident divers on the boat Armonia. Both dives are very easy and safe and I was looked after very good by the Trident staff. Unfortunately the video camera I hired was only set to 640 X 480 resolution, although it could have been set to HD, which was a pity. The first dive was at about 16m depth. Saw for the first time the 15cm long Fireworms and also some pipe fish, and some Tube worms. Be carefully about the Fireworms, as they have a group of venomous white bristles on each side of their body, which are flared out when the worm is disturbed. They injecting a powerful neurotoxin, which produce intense irritation and a painful burning sensation. The waters are about 28 deg C and visibility around 70-100ft. There are plenty of fish live and I saw a blue Crown of Thorn, which is brown/green at the Grat Barrer Reef in Australia. This bird is only found on a few places around the world. The Red-footed Booby is the smallest of all boobies at about 70 centimetres (28 in) in length and with a wingspan of up to 1 metre (3.3 ft). It has red legs, and its bill and throat pouch are coloured pink and blue. This species breeds on islands in most tropical oceans. When not breeding it spends most of the time at sea, and is therefore rarely seen away from breeding colonies. It nests in large colonies, laying one chalky blue egg in a stick nest, which is incubated by both adults for 44--46 days. The nest is usually placed in a tree or bush, but rarely it may nest on the ground. It may be three months before the young first fly, and five months before they make extensive flights. Red-footed Boobies are spectacular divers, plunging into the ocean at high speeds to catch prey. They mainly eat small fish or squid which gather in groups near the surface. The name is derived from the peculiar form of their snout, which is like a long tube, ending in a narrow and small mouth which opens upwards and is toothless. Most species of pipefish are usually 35--40 cm in length. This one was only about 8-10cm long.
